Just as Alex put his books in, two boys and one girl whom Alex recognized from the show walked over.
"Hey babe!" Steve the hair Harrington, Steve the king walked in as he gave a small kiss Nancy, smiling down at her as his two buddies also walked over.
"And who might this be?" Asked the girl who Alex couldn't bother remembering, he could feel the pheromones falling off of her, an old time slut.
"This is Alex, he is new to Hawkins"
"Careful Steve, or your girl might get taken over by the classic outsider,haha" the girl quipped, she always hated Nancy.
"Hey man, welcome to Hawkins" Steve who was still in his King Steve phase took this as a challenge of sorts as he walked upto Alex.
"Thanks, so you are the jocks huh?" Alex Cooper couldnt help but size Steve up, he was a huge fan, but that didn't mean he wasn't gonna answer the overly aggressive hand squeeze.

"Ugh, that's a strong wrist!" Steve smiled through the pain
Alex let go with a smile, none of the others present saw this
"You play basketball?" Asked the other guy.
"I can play, but I don't have the time,got some things on my hand" Alex saw Jonathan looking over at him, Alex smiled at him as he left the cool kids behind,making his way over to Jonathan with his food.

"Looks like you got some competition Steve" the boy smirked, his arm around his slut as he tried to start a fire.
Steve gave one last look at Alex who was walking over to Jonathan and then they left.
"Wow, it's your first day and you are already hanging out with the cool kids?" Jonathan teased
"And whose fault is that, aside from Nancy, the three are just hot air" I said in mock anger as I ate my apple
Jonathan chuckled,the two of us had some food and then left, apparently today was a half day in school considering a kid went missing, a city wide search was announced,plus Jonathan wanted to post some missing posters in the school.
Of course I helped my bro out, although I knew he was considered an abnormal kid and a loner, plus he was a creep who took pictures secretly, he could be redeemed, it didn't help that Joyce was like an Aunt to me.

While posting some missing posters, we came across the jocks group again, they seemed to be pointing at Jonathan and me ,laughing and pointing fingers, Jonathan grew visibly uncomfortable.
I couldn't help but sigh, were people so inconsiderate or was this just the 80s effect?
"Don't listen to them, just picture then as monkeys!"
"Haha! I am not that weak, don't worry about me, also, you should really join some kind of club." He added.
I nodded, we took our belongings and quietly left the school, I was invited by Joyce to stay for dinner as I had no one at home and seeing I was new, she gave me the olive branch despite her worrying about Will

"Haha, I can see her doing that, I had a good time,Jonathan was good company" I replied.
I could literally smell the gloom in the air, my body was screaming at me to leave the house.

The telephone rang, and Joyce rushed at it like a hyena
"Hello! Hello Will! Please speak to me baby!"
Hearing her, my body suddenly shot up.

The telephone suddenly sparked and exploded, Jonathan quickly came over while I helped put out the fire.
"My baby...." Joyce was a broken mess, and so was Jonathan.

"Ask away!" I said as I opened the can and drank, watching the famous Hawkins sheriff Hopper talking to Joyce.
"My father...I believe Will is with him, can you...take care of my mom while I go and confront him" he said
We both stared at each other
"You are asking me to lie?"
"With how she is, she won't notice me gone,I will be back by tomorrow or tonight."
"Sigh... since you are my first friend in this place,I guess I can look after her"
"Thanks!" He flashed me a smile and left, while Hopper gave me a look as he and the police also left
