Chapter 13 - Eyes Of The Abyss

"Ahh, what a pain," Kael said with a yawn.

After doing it for quite some time with Raquel, he had finally managed to leave his room to visit his father.

"Teasing a mature woman who has been a virgin for over 30 years is not a good idea," Kael sighed.

But he couldn't help smiling as he remembered the state he had left Raquel in before leaving the room.

"Hey, system, why do I have so much sexual stamina?" he asked directly.

After all, he felt it was ridiculous that he couldn't run at full speed for more than 5 minutes, but he could last more than one night with a succubus.

[That's because of the Aura of Desire and your incubus charm, they have those side effects]

"Oh, I see," Kael nodded, feeling quite lucky.

After all, without those two rewards, he would now be completely broke and destitute.

Imagining this, a chill ran through Kael's body.

"Ah, right, the rewards," he remembered. "System, show me the description of the Eyes of the Abyss."

[Eyes of the Abyss: The user can see each person's dark destiny, the true nature of things, and have the ability to exert their will on another person.]

"...," Kael was silent for a long moment. 'Isn't this a little broken?'

The more he looked at the skill, the more powerful it seemed. It was basically like having three skills rolled into one, and all of them incredibly useful and powerful.

"What rank is this skill?" he asked.

[The "Eyes of the Abyss" are not a common skill, they are a part of the body itself, they can be activated and deactivated without spending Mana. And their rank is unknown.]

"I see..." he muttered. Now, with this new and unexpected surprise, he would have a better chance of carrying out his plans.

"I'm sorry, protagonist, but I'll have to steal the heroines from you too," he said with a smile as he thought about this.

After all, now he had a clear picture of the situation: only one could survive, him or the protagonist.

Kael was confident he could become stronger than Allistar, but Allistar's true strength lay in his harem.

"If I take away his harem, he'll be nothing," he concluded.

And looking at his new appearance, plus his skills and status, it was impossible not to steal his harem.

But now his plan was not only to steal his harem, but to destroy him from within, to steal his precious women right in front of him.

"I'm here," he muttered, looking at the door in front of him.

Without realising it, he had arrived at Zylar's room.

Taking a deep breath, Kael opened the door directly.

Squeak

The door opened with a squeak. The first thing that entered Kael's field of vision was the man with blond hair and green eyes staring at him.

"Good morning, Father," he greeted casually, closing the door behind him.

Zylar nodded with a mischievous smile. "You had a lot of fun last night, didn't you?"

Kael smiled too. "Quite a bit, I guess," he said as he stood a meter away from his father's desk.

"For me, with the rank of Perfect Master, those sounds were unbearable," he said bluntly, but the smile never left his face. "But finally, my son is growing up. I see you have the same stamina as your father, hahahaha."

The atmosphere became cheerful and full of jokes.

Rising from their seats, father and son stared at each other.

Both were 6'2" tall, both had sturdy builds and noble, elegant bearing, but their facial features were completely different.

One had green eyes and golden hair, while the other had jet-black hair and grey eyes that seemed to contain the stars.

"Your face is identical to your mother's," Zylar sighed, approaching his son to pat him on the shoulder. "You've become very handsome. I hope you'll give me many grandchildren in the future."

Observing Zylar's melancholic expression, Kael's face softened, and he nodded. "I'll bring you lots of daughters-in-law too," he joked to lighten the mood.

After all, the person in front of him was his blood father, and living through all of Kael's memories, he knew that the person in front of him was the only one who would give his life for him, the only person he could truly trust.

Zylar smiled weakly. "I hope you keep your word." As he walked away, his expression turned serious. "Son, I'll get straight to the point. I heard that in six days you'll be facing your sister, Kamila."

Kael nodded, hiding nothing, but already imagining the reason his father had called him.

"I trust you, but your sister is another matter. So, just this once, I'm going to ask you a favour," he said, his eyes shining. "Defeat your sister."

Kael looked him in the eyes, and without Zylar noticing, a black-purple light flashed in Kael's eyes.

In Kael's vision, he could see thousands of dark threads, completely black and devoid of life.

Kael's face darkened. "Fine, I'll win, but first you must tell me what you plan to do."

"I see that nothing escapes my son," he smiled, revealing everything at once. "I will go to war against the beasts of the North. Almost all the commanders are there fighting, even though no one knows it, with an S-rank Beast. I want you to win so that you can declare yourself heir to the family and I can go to the North of Vaylon in peace."

Faced with such a direct statement, Kael was surprised for a moment, before remembering. 'In the novel, he wasn't like that. He stayed at Virkninges' house, even after the death of the original Kael. Did my change cause this?'

The more Kael thought about it, the less logical the whole situation seemed.

And looking at the black threads of Zylar, enveloping him, he could know for sure.

He had little time left to live.
