Ethan;
By the time I get to the factory, my heart is beating out of rhythm.
She hasn't messaged me since I left the house, so I don't know if she's here yet or not.
I was so bent on getting here before her that I didn't even have the time to text her.
I look around the abandoned space, and I'm breathing harder than I should be.
I ran part of the way here, and my lungs still haven't recovered.
I check my phone, and swallow when I see the time.
4:58 PM
I finally pull my phone out of my pocket and text her.
I'm here. Where are you?
Three dots appear instantly, and then her reply follows, almost instantly.
Almost there. Two minutes.
I let out a breath as I read the text. She isn't here yet. Good.
But two minutes feels too long.
I didn't even think this through. Now that I'm here alone… is it safe?
I'll be alright here alone. Right?
I look around and immediately realise that I need a place to hide. This place is open. Too open.
