In Nobita's vision, everything had slowed to a red-tinted haze.
He wasn't hearing Leon's voice…He wasn't hearing Helena coughing…He wasn't hearing the BSAA soldiers shouting…
He was hearing the System.
A cold mechanical voice echoed through his skull:
[SYSTEM UPDATE COMPLETE.][HUNTER MODE… AWAKENING.]
Nobita's heartbeat thundered.
[Your act of facing death without hesitation has triggered EVOLUTION.][Early-stage Predator Physiology unlocked.][Instinct Boost Lv.1 → Lv.2][Pain Tolerance Lv.1 → Lv.3]
Nobita's vision sharpened.
Colors became stronger. He could see every screw in Ustanak's mask…Every small twitch in Jake's stance…Even the faint vibration in Helena's fingers as she trembled.
His entire body felt hot.His muscles burned, but didn't collapse. His mind felt focused, sharper than ever.
[Warning: Body is adapting to new strength. Muscle tearing risk: HIGH.]
Nobita exhaled slowly.
"I won't… lose control…"
A drop of blood rolled down from the cut on his hand where the glass once was.
His aura pulsed.
The battlefield changed.
Ustanak let out a thunderous roar, turning toward him.
But Nobita didn't flinch.
His fear was gone.
His instincts were awakening.
3 — Doraemon Side: The Torn Pocket and the Race Against Time
Meanwhile, far from the roaring battlefield…
Doraemon and the kids ran up the broken steps of Nobita's house. The sky behind them was darkening, smoke rising from the distance like a warning.
Shizuka was panting."D-Doraemon… is this safe…?"
"No," Doraemon said frankly, sweat dripping from his forehead. "But we don't have a choice… Nobita needs us."
Gian clenched his fists."If any zombie comes, I'll smash it!"
Doraemon didn't comfort him—it wasn't the time.
They entered Nobita's room.
Everything was as they left it… except the desperate urgency.
Doraemon knelt beside the drawer and pulled out something wrapped in cloth.
The spare 4D pocket.
His hands shook.
"If I can repair my original pocket… I can give each of you weapons… I can help Nobita…"
He unwrapped the Time Cloth.
Dekisuki stepped closer."Doraemon, the Time Cloth can revert or advance the age of objects, right?"
"Yes…" Doraemon whispered, pressing the cloth on the torn pocket. "If I revert the pocket to before it was torn…"
The fabric brightened.
The tear slowly rewound, stitching backward, fibers weaving together like time flowing in reverse.
Gian's eyes widened."Woah… it's fixing itself…"
Doraemon nodded.
"We're not going to stand by anymore. We're going to protect Nobita too."
One by one, Doraemon pulled out weapons from the repaired pocket:
Air Cannon (Dual) for Gian
Lightning Arc Gun for Suneo
Small Light And Weakness Detector Magnifying Glass for Dekisuki
Barrier Cloth for Shizuka
Shizuka clutched the charm tightly."We will find Nobita… right?"
Doraemon swallowed hard.
"We will try. But right now… we must survive long enough to reach BSAA lines."
He looked out the window.
Explosions shook the city far away.
"Nobita… please hold on…"
Meanwhile..
Helena tried to push herself up.
Her vision blurred.
Leon grabbed her by the shoulders."Helena! Stay with me—are you hurt?!"
"I… I'm fine… but that boy…"
Jake approached slowly, still keeping his guard."Kid! Who are you? How did you throw that?"
Nobita didn't answer.
He couldn't.
The system was still flooding him with information.
Chris moved beside Leon, rifle drawn but not firing.
"He's not normal," Chris said quietly. "And look at his arm—that wound looks old, but he's not collapsing."
Leon narrowed his eyes."He saved Helena… but… why? How did he even get here?"
Nobita took a single step forward.
Everyone tensed.
Even Ustanak paused, glaring.
Nobita's voice was soft… but unwavering.
"I'm not here… to run anymore."
His knees shook. His lungs burned. But he didn't break.
His evolution was still ongoing—his body trembling between weakness and raw instinct.
Ustanak slammed his fist into the ground, charging.
The soldiers raised their guns.
Leon raised his pistol.
Jake prepared a stance.
Sherry held her breath.
Chris shouted, "Nobita! Get back!"
But Nobita didn't move.
He just stared forward, eyes glowing faintly.
The system voice struck like lightning:
[FEARLESS TRIGGER DETECTED.][EVOLUTION — STAGE 1 COMPLETE.]
Nobita's aura burst around him, dust lifting off the bus roof.
Leon whispered, "…What… is he?"
Jake stepped back involuntarily."Kid's aura is freaking me out…"
The broken glass in Ustanak's neck fell out.
But Nobita didn't need it anymore.
He had something else.
A new inner strength.
A new instinct.
A new sense of purpose.
Ustanak roared and charged forward.
Helena screamed, "KID RUN!"
But Nobita only whispered two words:
"Not again."
His eyes narrowed.
His aura flared.
And then—
He leapt down from the bus.
The ground cracked beneath him.
Everyone gasped.
Even Ustanak hesitated for half a second.
Nobita raised his bleeding hand…clutched a piece of broken metal from the bus roof…and prepared to charge too.
Chris's eyes widened."That kid… he's evolving…!?"
Leon whispered,"…What are you, kid…?"
And as Nobita dashed forward—
CHAPTER ENDS.
