"Prosperity."

When Hanzō learned that during his absence a large number of Ame-nin patrolling outside had been slaughtered, he smashed the low table in front of him.

This time, the Konoha squad included six extremely powerful ninjas—Orochimaru was only one of them.

As for their exact level of strength, the weak spy could not make any judgment.

He had once fought Orochimaru before—and had been defeated.

The taijutsu master Ishimon, dressed in a tight-fitting suit with center-parted hair, had also described these people to him:

Two swordmasters, an incredibly strong kunoichi, and a white-haired man with an afro.

Hanzō fell into deep thought, worried he might not be able to handle all six of them.

"These Konoha vermin…"

After a while, Hanzō cursed harshly, as though he had suddenly come up with an idea.

"Fugu."

"Yes, Hanzō-sama."

Shinda approached respectfully and bowed.

"You…"

Hanzō quietly whispered his plan to Shinda.

"I will definitely accomplish this."

After saying that, Shinda walked downstairs, while Hanzō continued pondering.

If fighting all six together won't work, then I'll take them three at a time.

When the Konoha squads were only two days away from Amegakure, they began slowly advancing toward the central territory.

The moment of the final battle was approaching. Conserving strength and avoiding direct confrontation was no longer a luxury they could afford.

Everyone's face carried some degree of sadness—no one knew whether they would end up forever resting in the Land of Rain.

After all, it is easy to talk about facing death calmly, but doing so is not.

Kawakaze had already regrouped with Orochimaru and the others. A few high-ranking ninja squads were still on their way.

"As long as we can contain the salamander, there's no way we can lose."

Orochimaru fixed his sights on the Salamander. Hanzō was stronger than him, but not by much.

Compared to Hanzō himself, the real threat to Konoha was the salamander.

"The salamander's poison mist takes five minutes to build up before it can be released."

Now that the time had come, Kawakaze no longer hid anything—he shared the information he knew from the original story.

"Is this reliable?"

Tsunade instantly perked up. This was extremely important information, yet she'd never heard it before.

"Well, didn't my big brother take a mission in the Rain Country?"

"He learned it from a Rain ninja."

With no other choice, Kawakaze pushed the blame onto Shumao.

If only he had actually gone on a mission to the Rain Country before—it would've been easier to explain.

Everyone's gaze turned to Shumao again.

Shumao was completely stunned. A moment ago he was just an observer, yet now he had somehow become the source of the intel.

When did I learn this? Why didn't I know about it earlier?

"Ahem… ahem!"

Kawakaze coughed twice, believing that he and his brother still shared some unspoken understanding.

They were, after all, blood-related siblings.

"That's right. If Kawakaze hadn't reminded me, I would've forgotten."

Shumao forced a smile and grabbed a pot lid to cover his embarrassment.

"With this info, we have an even better chance of dealing with the salamander."

Everyone still believed Shumao, and even Orochimaru gained a bit more confidence.

This time, he would avenge the humiliation from before.

"I'll hold off Hanzō. You all dispose of the salamander as fast as possible."

Kawakaze still wanted to spar with Hanzō. Since arriving in the Naruto world, he had never fought someone of this level.

"Are you sure?"

Jiraiya looked worried; even Orochimaru had admitted he was inferior to Hanzō.

"No problem. I'll use my Shikkotsu Forest sage arts to deal with him."

Kawakaze's words nearly killed Jiraiya on the spot—his sage mode currently couldn't even be used in real combat.

It took way too long to activate, and on a battlefield, time was a luxury he didn't have.

"That's… great."

After saying this, Jiraiya fell silent.

Handsome, talented, and wealthy—losing to Kawakaze didn't feel unfair. He just hoped Tsunade would be happy.

"Then we'll quickly take down the salamander and come back to help you."

Dai was always full of confidence; before any fight, he never believed he could lose.

"Alright."

Kawakaze patted Dai on the shoulder. Having someone like him nearby always put him at ease.

When all Konoha ninja assembled and marched toward Amegakure, their movement was exposed.

Hanzō did not hide as Kawakaze predicted—instead, he appeared before them with the Rain-nin.

"Orochimaru, we meet again."

Hanzō spoke first.

"This will be our last meeting."

Orochimaru's tone was cold and meaningful, sending chills through the air.

"A defeated general dares to be so arrogant!"

Hanzō erupted in anger, swinging his scythe, though he didn't give the order to attack.

Both sides' ninjas were already in position, waiting only for their commanders' signal.

"Since he's shown himself, then we'll fight."

Tsunade was irritated by Hanzō's words. No matter what, Orochimaru was still her clanmate—and now, Kawakaze's close friend.

"This is the perfect moment to measure the weight of the so-called Demigod of the Shinobi World."

Kawakaze was eager to test his Eight-Trigram Han Sword.

"Let's fight."

Orochimaru and Jiraiya agreed.

"Advance!"

A single command echoed among the Konoha ninjas, and the battle began.

At first, there were no flashy jutsu—only brutal hand-to-hand combat.

When the two forces clashed, another squad of Rain-nin rushed in from the side.

The leader of this Rain-nin unit was extremely strong—he managed to fend off the combined attacks of Jiraiya and Orochimaru.

Tsunade punched a Rain ninja beside her and charged forward to help.

If someone this strong could be removed, many Konoha lives would be saved.

The salamander had yet to appear; it wasn't too late to adjust tactics.

Shumao and Dai also charged into the Rain-nin ranks.

Green whirlwinds and white sword flashes danced among the Rain ninjas, taking dozens of lives in moments.

Kawakaze held a lightning-wreathed sword, his entire body crackling with electricity.

"Hanzō of the Salamander—if you don't use your summoning now, you stand no chance."

He didn't rush in but instead approached step by step, taunting.

A ninja of Hanzō's level wouldn't be so easily provoked. Kawakaze saw his indifference.

Hanzō remained silent, simply swinging his scythe, not advancing.

Kawakaze didn't try again. He moved instantly—

Only to slice cleanly through a body that dissolved into water.

A water clone.

Kawakaze immediately retreated—Hanzō would surely use the moment to attack—

But Hanzō was nowhere to be found.

The battlefield was still roaring with combat.

Tsunade and the other two still couldn't defeat that Rain ninja. The harder they fought, the more uneasy they felt—they were so close to killing him, yet always just short.

None of them realized the battlefield had split into two.

Kawakaze led a group of ninjas fighting Hanzō directly.

On both sides, the Rain-nin were being crushed by Konoha, suffering heavy casualties.

Still no sign of the salamander.

"I won't waste any more time on you."

"We'll finish this another day."

The Rain-nin leader, worried about casualties, evaded the trio's attacks.

"Withdraw!"

He led the surviving Rain-nin away from the battlefield.

Tsunade and the others absolutely refused to let him escape—the duck in hand was about to fly away.

The three exchanged glances and then led Konoha ninjas in pursuit.
