Chapter 43 - Chapter 43: There Will Be No Problem

Lumine was planning to have a more in-depth conversation with Ann, to have a good chat, but unfortunately, fate had other plans.

Whenever it was such a moment, someone would always come to disturb them. Hearing the knock on the door, she could guess who it was.

"Acting Grand Master Jean, why are you here?" Even so, Lumine still had to greet her with a smile.

She opened the door to let Acting Grand Master Jean in, and actively offered the only chair to Acting Grand Master Jean.

She herself sat on the bed with Ann.

In a sense, she even had to thank Acting Grand Master Jean.

"I heard you were back, so I came to see you," Although Acting Grand Master Jean said so, her gaze was fixed on Ann in the room.

Seeing Ann and Lumine sitting together, she couldn't help but feel a little envious.

"Miss Ann, are you resting well?"

"Yes, yes, perfectly. I didn't expect the Knights of Favonius's dormitory to be surprisingly comfortable," Ann said with a smile.

She wondered if only Lumine's room in the entire Knights of Favonius dormitory was this comfortable; the bedding was very soft and smelled nice.

Besides that, Barbara also deserved some credit; if it weren't for her, Ann might not have been able to wake up from that dream.

Of course, even if that were the case, it was still better than spending the night on the grass in the wilderness.

If she had to compare, besides Anber's room, only the tent she had slept in before could compare.

It was also quite strange; it was just a simple tent, yet when she slept in it, she could feel an inexplicable warmth and softness.

"That's good... Lumine, about the Dragon Tear?" Acting Grand Master Jean looked at Lumine again, asking about the important matter.

"No problem, I've already got it, but I don't know how Master Diluc is doing," Lumine, though a little depressed, still nodded and told the truth.

"Master Diluc should also be fine. I heard the news of his return to the city this afternoon," Acting Grand Master Jean replied, feeling a little relieved.

There were no particularly strong Hilichurls in Dada Upa Gorge. Besides, they only needed to get the Dragon Tear and leave; they didn't have to defeat all the Hilichurls. For Diluc, it was no difficulty at all.

"In that case, we can go to Master Diluc's winery as soon as possible to repair the skylyre, right?" Paimon said happily.

They were one step closer to their goal; the plan to save Dvalin was very smooth.

"Yes, after this, let's talk to Master Diluc and that poet to discuss the specific time."

If it were Acting Grand Master Jean's own idea, of course, the sooner the better; if possible, it would be best to act tonight. Mondstadt's Dragon Disaster was an urgent matter.

And as the Acting Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius, she also didn't want East Wind Dragon, who once protected Mondstadt, to continue in pain.

However, she also had to consider others, especially Diluc and Lumine, who both needed some time to rest.

She would go and discuss it with them later.

"Speaking of which, how about Miss Ann resting at my place tonight?" Acting Grand Master Jean looked up, looking at Ann with some anticipation.

Amber wouldn't be back until tomorrow, so Ann couldn't possibly sleep outside tonight.

And this room obviously couldn't accommodate two people... oh no, two and a half people.

Although finding a place to stay in Mondstadt City wasn't very difficult now, as the Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius, arranging accommodation for a distinguished guest who had helped the Knights of Favonius was naturally her duty.

'It's coming...' Lumine's gaze instantly became vigilant.

She had long anticipated that Acting Grand Master Jean's visit was not just for what she claimed.

Her inviting Ann to stay at her place again tonight was reasonable, and Lumine had no way to stop it.

If she insisted that her place was fine and they could squeeze in with Ann... that would be too strange. If Paimon was also included on this bed, it was hard to imagine how cramped it would be.

Of course, she would be happy to sleep in Ann's arms, but she also had to consider Ann's feelings.

And as for sleeping on the floor, unfortunately, this room wasn't big, so sleeping on the floor would also be a bit difficult.

Besides, if there was a bed, why sleep on the floor?

Now Lumine was completely at a disadvantage.

There was no particularly good reason to refuse; it was really troublesome...

"Hmm, won't it be too much trouble for you?" Ann didn't see the struggle on Lumine's face and asked hesitantly.

She was actually a little apprehensive herself, after all, Acting Grand Master Jean was different from Rosaria; she had no resistance to her physique... Wait, what if Rosaria didn't either, and she was just forcibly enduring it?

Ann started to murmur to herself. That lazy Rosaria had slept in the same tent as her; if she was just forcibly enduring it, then she was too tolerant, wasn't she?

"Of course not, I live alone, and the house is quite big," Acting Grand Master Jean said immediately, her voice containing some fluctuations that were usually hard to detect.

"Then, then I'll trouble you..." Ann's mouth twitched slightly. This phrase sounded so familiar.

Amber had said the same thing back then, and then she just went to take a bath and almost got into trouble.

Fortunately, Amber was still a pure child and didn't have those kinds of thoughts about her.

No matter what, with past lessons, she'd better be cautious.

------------

That evening, after dining with Acting Grand Master Jean in the Knights of Favonius's dining hall, Ann left with Acting Grand Master Jean.

Only Lumine returned to her dormitory feeling depressed.

However, this depression quickly vanished. She lay on the bed, greedily sniffing Ann's scent.

"Gurgle~ hehe..."

"Lumine, you're so strange now," Paimon shrank back a little, scared.

Lumine looked like some kind of pervert.

"Do you think so?" Lumine buried her head in the pillow, her voice muffled, but from her tone, it was clear that she didn't care about what Paimon said.

"Don't you know the answer yourself? Why are you asking me?" Paimon couldn't help but roll his eyes at Lumine.

"But I'm still so worried. Nothing will happen to Stelle at Acting Grand Master Jean's place, right?" Lumine raised her head, looking concerned.

"Why would anything happen? Acting Grand Master Jean's place should be very safe, right?" Paimon asked, puzzled.

"Sigh, I see you really don't understand anything." Lumine turned her head to glance at Paimon floating in the air and shook her head.

"Understand what?" Paimon became even more confused.

"If you want to understand… you'll have to wait until you grow up a bit more." Lumine sighed, hugging her pillow and thinking about Stelle.

Actually, if she thought about it calmly, there shouldn't be any problems.

Acting Grand Master Jean is a very good person; she shouldn't do anything too out of line.

The two of them should be sleeping in separate rooms, so as long as Stelle locks her door at night, it will be fine.

Plus, the meeting time set for tomorrow is very early… Mm-hmm, no problem, no problem at all.

"I'm tired, time to sleep. Goodnight!"
