Sunless lowered her onto the silk sheets, the mattress sinking slightly beneath her. The neon glow from the outer room slipped through the open doorway, washing her skin in soft blue and faint violet light. It made her look unreal for a moment.
He didn't hesitate. He shrugged out of the last of his clothes, movements quick but controlled, like he was holding himself together by force alone. When he straightened, standing in front of her, Sonia's breath caught. Her eyes traced him without meaning to. The sight made her chest tighten and warmth gather low in her body.
He climbed onto the bed and leaned over her, carefully pinning her wrists above her head. His weight wasn't crushing, just enough to remind her he was there. The warmth of his body spread into hers, solid and grounding against her softer frame.
"Sonia," he said quietly, his voice rougher than usual. "I need you to be sure. Once I start, I won't stop myself."
