"Hey, hey—did you hear? It sounds like the school opened a foot spa?"
"Huh? You can open a place like that inside Tracen Academy?"
"I heard it's ridiculously expensive! One session costs 100,000 yen!"
"Whoa… that's insane…"
Inside Kasamatsu Tracen Academy, conversations like these were everywhere.
The flyers Noren Ace and the others had handed out earlier were finally paying off—by now, news of Suluo's foot spa had spread all across campus.
…Though most of it was bad publicity about the outrageous pricing.
A single service costing one hundred thousand yen wasn't something normal people could afford—let alone students.
And honestly… it was strange. Why would the owner open a shop with that kind of positioning inside an academy?
Was his brain full of water or what?
"…A foot spa."
In a quiet corner of Kasamatsu Tracen, Fujimasa March (Tōshō March) was doing her morning run training and couldn't avoid overhearing the gossip.
She now had a rough idea of this bizarre "foot spa" that had appeared inside the academy.
But what bothered her more was that the shop's owner seemed to be that weird investor backing Oguri Cap…
Oguri Cap…
Just thinking of that name made her clench her fist.
She'd first noticed Oguri during an in-class training session—back then, Oguri was the only one whose results were close to hers.
So Fujimasa March had quietly marked her as her biggest rival in Kasamatsu Tracen, and paid special attention…
"If it's a shop opened by Oguri's investor… I'll go see what's going on."
—
"Noren… how much longer are we going to sit here…?"
"Don't ask me. How would I know?"
Inside Suluo's foot spa, in the lobby, Noren Ace and her two friends sat around in employee uniforms, slumped and bored.
They were in charge of greeting customers, but the shop had been open for ages and not a single person had come in. They were dying of boredom.
"Yeah, I mean… getting paid to do nothing is nice," Rudi LeMans complained, "but this is basically just time-wasting!"
"Well, I think it's pretty normal for Suluo to open a place like this in the academy and end up like this," Mini Lady shrugged.
"Who opens a shop like this at school and sets the price that high? That's basically not wanting to make money at all!"
"And seriously, with how he acts, does he even look like a real investor…?"
"Mini, don't talk behind his back," Noren Ace cut in. "Whatever else he is, he's our boss on paper right now. Save the trash talk for after we clock out."
"Besides—why do you think we're even here? If you're apologizing, you should at least look like you mean it…"
"Ugh, Noren, you're starting to sound like a mom."
"Mini…!"
Right as they started messing around, the doorbell chimed.
A customer?!
"Huh? March?"
Noren Ace's eyes lit up when she saw the girl with long teal-green hair.
"Why are you here?"
"Just curious. The whole school's been talking about this place…"
Fujimasa March glanced around. Aside from the three "greeters" who didn't look serious at all, the interior decor was… fine. But she couldn't see anything that justified 100,000 yen.
Anyone who paid for this had to be a sucker…
She complained silently to herself.
He didn't even try to properly maintain his own shop… was that investor a normal person at all?
…Don't tell me he's a scammer.
Did Oguri Cap get tricked?
She stroked her smooth chin, eyes thoughtful.
"Since you're here, March, want to try the service?" Noren Ace remembered she was technically an employee and tried to reel her in.
"Service…? Spending 100,000 yen on some random sketchy service? I'm not that kind of sucker."
March shook her head. Even for her, 100,000 yen wasn't a small amount—no way she'd spend it in a suspicious shop like this.
"Yeah, fair," Noren Ace sighed. "I don't think anyone would actually buy anything here either."
"Hey, Noren," a man's voice cut in. "As an employee, isn't it kinda bad to say that~?"
Suluo pushed the door open and walked in, clearly teasing. He'd obviously heard exactly what she said.
"I'm not wrong," Noren Ace shot back. "It's been open all day and we've had zero customers. I'm not even exaggerating."
"That just means our customers haven't arrived yet. What's the rush~?" Suluo waved it off.
"You're the boss, so you're always right…" Noren Ace squinted. "But I'm seriously curious—how are you even planning to serve customers? You didn't hire any professionals. Don't tell me you're really doing it yourself?"
"Of course I am. What, you don't trust my skills?"
"Then show me."
"Hey, there aren't customers right now—how am I supposed to show you?"
"Tch!"
They bickered so loudly that Fujimasa March just stood there stunned.
"Have they always been this close?" she asked Mini Lady and Rudi LeMans, who were clearly in full slacking mode.
"…Well…"
"…Get used to it."
Mini Lady and Rudi LeMans exchanged a look and could only answer like that.
Just then, the argument reached its climax.
Noren Ace walked over and patted Fujimasa March on the shoulder.
"You said you wanted customers, right? Well, here's one! Let March experience your 'amazing skills' and prove you're worth that price!"
"Wait—didn't I just say I'm not paying for this…?" March looked miserable.
"Free service!" Noren Ace smiled sweetly. "Consider it a free advertisement for the shop. Let our boss show whether his 'high-level technique' really matches the price. Don't tell me you can't, dear Boss Suluo~?"
The moment Suluo heard the words "free," his eyes lit up.
Oh wow, Noren—you're actually a great employee~
Isn't this a perfect idea?
Fujimasa March was pretty famous in Kasamatsu Tracen. If she spread the word, that would be huge.
All he had to do was make her have an awful experience, and she'd definitely trash-talk the shop to everyone.
With her influence, the shop's reputation would sink even further!
That would eliminate any chance of making money!
And on top of that, he didn't even have to charge her for the service?
Noren Ace—you're a genius!!
"?" Noren Ace suddenly got goosebumps.
"Your eyes are kinda… kimo."
"Haha." Suluo laughed it off, then turned to March.
"Since my staff said so, I'll make an exception and waive the fee for you this time~ What do you think?"
"Um…" March hesitated.
"Come on, March," Noren Ace said, pushing her forward. "If it's free, just try it~"
With no way to refuse, Fujimasa March finally nodded.
"Fine… I'll try it."
—
Suluo led her through the lobby, pushed open a simple wooden door, and entered a small, cozy room.
It wasn't big, but it was clean and tidy. A few calming landscape paintings hung on the wall, and the air carried a faint herbal scent.
In the center was a comfortable massage bed. On a small cart beside it, various essential oils and massage tools were arranged neatly.
"This is our service room," Suluo said with a smile, gesturing for her to sit. "Even though we call it a 'foot spa,' we offer more than just foot-washing. Full-body relaxation, acupoint massage, leg relief… all kinds of packages. You can relax—I'll adjust my technique based on your condition."
Fujimasa March sat stiffly on the edge of the bed, eyeing the bottles with suspicion.
"Really… any massage is fine?"
"Of course," Suluo answered casually while preparing hot towels and oils with practiced ease. "Especially for horse-girls who train constantly—muscle fatigue and tightness are normal. My technique is something I studied specifically for this."
He winked, his confidence laced with a hint of something… not entirely innocent.
"Alright then, Fujimasa. Relax, and enjoy."
Suluo laughed to himself and began.
He recalled the "bad review massage techniques" he'd read online and deliberately targeted the acupoints that were supposedly the most uncomfortable.
First, he aimed at several points around her shoulders and neck, pressing down hard with his thumbs—supposedly, pressing too hard there would make people cry in pain.
"Mm…" March let out a soft sound, her body tensing for a moment.
Yes—there it is! Suluo rejoiced. You hate it, right?! Get ready to complain!
But… she didn't jump up and scold him.
After that small sound, her body relaxed as if something had clicked—loosening at a visible speed.
Her slightly furrowed brows smoothed out, and she even let out a satisfied, sleepy sigh.
"Uh…" Suluo froze.
This isn't right! Where's the suffering?! Where's the rage?!
He refused to believe it and switched targets—he jabbed his knuckles into the tightest part of her calf, pressing hard.
After training, that spot should be insanely sore. A hard press should feel awful.
"Ah…" March made another short sound, but it was more like the sweet release of pain dissolving into comfort.
She even unconsciously adjusted her posture to make it easier for him to apply force.
"Th-there… yes… it's always so stiff after training…"
Suluo's hands stiffened.
He was using plenty of force—so why did it feel like he… hit the right spot?
No way! My technique is definitely trash—I just got lucky!
Unwilling to give up, Suluo started mashing and pressing randomly across her back and legs, no method at all—just going by instinct wherever the muscle lines looked tense.
But for Fujimasa March—who trained at high intensity and whose muscles were rigid with fatigue—his clumsy, heavy pressure became the most direct and effective kind of relief.
Those blunt presses happened to push deep into her tight fascia, crushing and tearing open the built-up fatigue and soreness.
Now and then, the sudden increase in force made her muscles twitch—but what followed was a lightness she'd never felt before.
"…Amazing," March murmured into the massage bed. Her voice was lazy, too relaxed to be sharp.
"Your technique feels… kind of weird… but it's so comfortable… My body feels… lighter…"
Suluo: "!!!"
He stared at her face as she melted into the bed, looking like she was about to fall asleep. He went completely stiff.
This isn't how the script goes! The more I try to make her suffer, the better she feels?!
Does my garbage technique have some hidden attribute?!
Wait!
Calm down!
Calm down, me!
Panicking won't help now!
All I can do is grit my teeth and push through!
Following his memory of "the legendary acupoints that make people miserable," Suluo poured all his strength into pressing down!
In that instant, Fujimasa March's feet tensed. A fine electric current raced up her spine, and the sensation of comfort burst toward her brain like a flood breaking through a dam.
Finally—her mouth couldn't hold it in anymore!
"Ohohohohoho——!"
Suluo: "?"
