Chapter 30 - Torn Between Love & Guilt

The hallway was silent.

Too silent.

Ria's heartbeat was louder than the ticking clock.

She stood outside Y/N's room for a few seconds…

hand raised…

hesitating…

Then she knocked.

Ria × Y/N — The Confrontation

Y/N opened the door.

Her smile faded when she saw her.

"Ria?"

"Can I ask you something?" her voice was steady… but her eyes weren't.

Y/N nodded.

Ria looked straight at her.

Not angry

Not jealous

Just… broken.

"Did I do something to make Jungkook feel like he has to run away from me?"

Y/N went silent.

"What? No… why would you ask that?"

"Because he doesn't look at me the same way anymore," Ria whispered.

"And I noticed… he looks at you like he forgot how to breathe."

Y/N's lips parted.

"That's not— Ria, please don't think like that. I never meant to—"

"I'm not blaming you," she quickly added.

"I just… need the truth so I can stop lying to myself."

Y/N swallowed hard.

"I didn't choose this. I didn't even know he felt that way. His heart isn't something I control."

And that's when Ria knew.

Y/N wasn't the villain.

Jungkook was just… lost.

Meanwhile… Jungkook Breaking

Jungkook stood alone on the rooftop.

Wind hitting his face.

Night blurring his vision.

Hands shaking.

He hit the railing with his fist.

Again.

And again.

"Why am I like this…?" he whispered.

His chest felt tight.

He thought of Ria —

Her trust.

Her smile.

Her way of holding his hand like he was safe.

Then he thought of Y/N —

The way she understood him without trying.

The way his heart reacted no matter how much he tried to control it.

A tear slipped out.

Then another.

He laughed bitterly.

"I hurt her… didn't I?" He said to no one.

"I stayed when I should've walked away… and now I'm a coward for not knowing how to leave."

He slid down to the ground, his back against the wall.

His hands covered his face.

"I don't deserve either of them," he broke.

"I'm in a relationship with someone who loves me… and my heart is still searching for someone else…"

His breathing broke apart.

"And that makes me disgusting."

He pressed his forehead to the floor.

"I hurt Ria… while being too useless to fight my feelings for Y/N."

Ria Hears His Voice…

Ria was walking on the terrace…

when she heard his voice.

His breaking voice.

She froze.

"I hate myself for this…," he whispered.

"She didn't deserve to be someone I'm confused about… she deserves someone sure."

Her eyes filled with tears.

Not anger.

Not betrayal.

Just pain.

And Tae × Y/N Notice Something Too…

Inside, Taehyung noticed Y/N's silence.

"You're thinking about something heavy," he said.

She nodded slowly.

"Jungkook's not okay… and neither is Ria."

Taehyung sighed.

"That boy always carries storms alone."

The room was quiet.

Not lonely.

Just… peaceful.

Taehyung and Y/N sat side by side on the floor, their backs leaning against the couch. The window was open, cold air brushing their skin gently.

Neither of them spoke for a while.

Because sometimes…

silence speaks more clearly than words.

Taehyung × Y/N — Soulmates, Not By Name, But By Heart

"You know," Y/N whispered, looking up at the ceiling,

"People always think relationships are only about love."

Taehyung smiled faintly.

"But ours isn't."

She turned to him slowly.

"It's care," she said.

"It's safety."

"It's choosing each other… even when the world confuses us."

He looked at her.

"Even when we're not standing next to each other…"

"We're still with each other," she finished his sentence.

Her fingers brushed his.

Not romantic.

Not desperate.

Just comfort.

He laughed softly.

"I don't want to be something you're forced to choose," he said.

"I want to be someone you naturally come back to."

Y/N's eyes softened.

"You already are."

They leaned their foreheads together.

No kiss.

No drama.

Just two souls understanding each other without needing to explain.

His Thoughts

Taehyung watched her get up to leave the room.

He didn't stop her.

He just smiled gently.

And whispered to himself…

"Go… figure yourself out.

I'll always be by your side, my sweetu…

Even from a distance."

Y/N × Jungkook — The Healing Conversation

The practice room lights were dim.

Jungkook sat alone on the floor.

Back against the mirror.

Eyes red.

Knuckles bruised.

Y/N froze when she saw him.

Her heart tightened.

She walked slowly.

Quietly.

And sat beside him.

Not touching him yet…

Just present.

"You're hurting yourself again," she said softly.

He didn't respond.

"You think pain will erase pain, don't you?"

His jaw tightened.

"You don't get it," he whispered.

"I ruined everything."

She exhaled.

"I do get it."

Then she looked at him fully.

"And that's why I'm here."

He finally looked at her.

"I hurt Ria…

I confused you…

I made everything ugly."

Her voice softened.

"You made mistakes.

That doesn't make you unlovable."

His breath shook.

"I don't deserve you to care."

Y/N reached for his hand.

Held it tightly.

Not romantically.

Not possessively.

Just… honestly.

"You don't get to decide that."

His eyes broke.

"I didn't want to hurt anyone…"

"I know," she whispered.

"But destroying yourself won't fix what happened.

It'll only break more."

He looked away.

"Why are you still here?"

Her grip tightened.

"Because you matter to me."

"As a person."

"As someone important in my life."

His voice dropped.

"And Taehyung?"

She smiled gently.

"He knows… my heart doesn't only live in one place."

"He understands?"

He glanced at her.

She nodded.

"He trusts me to find my own truth.

Not because he wants to own it…

but because he respects it."

Jungkook swallowed hard.

"And… what about me?"

She looked at him deeply.

"You're not someone I hurt or replace."

"You're someone I want to keep safe.

The way you deserve."

His eyes softened.

Not with passion.

But peace.

Taehyung Watching From a Distance

Outside the door, Taehyung stood quietly.

He saw them talking.

No jealousy.

No bitterness.

Only calm.

And he smiled.

Because for the first time…

She wasn't confused.

She wasn't trapped.

She was choosing clarity.

And he whispered again, softly…

"I'm proud of you, sweetu.

I'll always be right here."

The hallway was empty.

Except for Jungkook's footsteps echoing against the floor.

Ria stood in front of him — arms crossed, eyes tired, not angry anymore… just exhausted.

"You're not here," she said.

"Even when you're standing right in front of me, you're somewhere else."

He swallowed.

Silence.

Then, finally…

"You deserve someone who looks at you the way you look at them."

Her eyes softened — not hurt, not bitter.

"Not with regret… but with certainty," she whispered.

He nodded.

"I'm sorry. I didn't love you halfway. I loved you wrong."

A long moment passed.

Then Ria stepped back.

"No…

You just loved when your heart was already somewhere else."

She walked away.

And Jungkook didn't follow.

Not because he didn't care…

But because he finally stopped lying.

Weekend — Yoongi × Y/N

Rain tapped softly on the windows of the studio café.

Y/N sat across from Yoongi, holding a warm cup between her palms.

"You look like someone who hasn't slept and doesn't want to talk about it," he said casually.

She gave a tired smile.

"And you look like someone who noticed but won't force me either."

"That's why I'm here," he replied.

No pressure.

No drama.

Just presence.

They didn't talk about Jungkook.

They talked about silly things.

Movies he hates.

Songs she writes but never finishes.

How silence isn't always loneliness.

He slid a small notebook toward her.

"You once said you forget how to breathe when things feel heavy," he said.

"So write instead."

She looked at it.

"You always notice weird stuff."

"I'm weird," he smirked.

She laughed softly.

And for the first time in days…

It didn't hurt inside her chest.

They walked by the river later.

Wind brushing through their hair.

He didn't touch her.

Didn't flirt.

Just walked beside her like her world wasn't something he wanted to own…

But protect.

"You okay?" he asked.

She nodded.

"Not healed.

But… lighter."

"That's enough for today," he replied.

A Glance Between Two Worlds

Far away, in the training hall…

Jungkook stood alone again.

But this time, not breaking.

Not collapsing.

Just staring at the reflection.

And for the first time…

Not hating himself.

Outside, Taehyung sat on the steps.

Watching the sky fade.

Whispering softly…

"Take your time, love…

You're not lost anymore."
