Lyra sat on the floor, right next to where Kai's throne stood. Her head was resting on the seat while her hand traced the obsidian surface of the chair itself.
She was constantly trying to see if there was a way she could smell what was left of him on the throne, but unfortunately, all she got was the remnant of his mana still lingering there.
Which, of course, she didn't mind.
Lyra was initially upset that Carlotta got to spend more time with Kai yet again, but as she held onto that chair, most of her worries and jealousy simply vanished. Then came a knock on the door.
Bang! Bang!
It was not particularly loud, but it was still enough to cause Lyra to frown, knowing someone had come to interrupt her moment. She looked toward the door at the far end of the room.
"Who is there? I am busy!"
As though the person completely ignored her statement, the door opened and a voice echoed back.
