I woke up in the middle of the night.
The darkness was overwhelming, and I couldn't see anything. Not even the stars held any hope of showing themselves anymore. I tried to look around, but it was as if my senses no longer existed. I felt everything, yet at the same time nothing. That feeling filled me with a terrible, overwhelming panic. I couldn't endure it any longer.
What was this feeling? Hunger? Pain?Whatever it was—it had to stop.
I screamed, but not a single sound came out. I tried with all my strength to fight against it, but it was too much for me. The only thing I could still feel was the weight of my curved saber, fastened to my robe. It hurt. Whatever it was, it hurt like hell—and who but me could bear witness to that?
Every single bone in my body vibrated, and I even began to feel the acid in my stomach. My brain felt as if it were exploding—not in a brief burst, but in an explosion that continued without end. After about five minutes, I could no longer endure the torture.
I took the curved saber and drove it into my own heart. In that moment, I noticed my senses briefly return—only to vanish again. In that fleeting instant, I saw my camel standing there, unaware, and a bird flying above me.
In my final moments, I felt overwhelming panic. Was that it? Was my life over?
Yes.For my senses had now vanished completely.
