Chapter 105 - Chapter 106: Garrisoned at Lorentz Military Base

"I truly wish I could work alongside Captain Creuset!"

Suppressing his thoughts, Felix wore a faint smile and spoke with feigned sincerity. Creuset also smiled slightly and replied with equal apparent genuineness.

"I too would like to work with Captain Griffith."

Two days later.

"Captain, Team Creuset has been transferred."

Aric stood opposite Felix, reporting the news.

Felix glanced up at Aric, unsurprised by this development. Aric continued watching Felix as he spoke further.

"Captain, the Ministry of Defense has provided us with personnel reinforcements."

"New recruits?"

Upon hearing about personnel reinforcements, Felix raised an eyebrow and asked.

Aric shook his head, then handed the personnel list to Felix. Taking the list from Aric, Felix quickly scanned through the names of the reinforcements.

One name caught Felix's attention during his review.

Miguel Aiman?

"Isn't this the name of that unlucky fellow from Twilight?" After a moment's thought, Felix remembered whose name this was. Realizing this, Felix examined the photograph.

That familiar hair color confirmed to Felix that this was indeed the unlucky character from Twilight.

"Wasn't this guy part of Creuset's team? Why has he been assigned to me?"

"Do you know this person?"

Pointing at Miguel on the list, Felix inquired. Aric leaned over to look, thought for a moment while examining Miguel's photo, then shook his head. "Captain, I don't recognize him."

"Which unit was he previously from?"

Seeing this, Felix changed his question.

Aric replied upon hearing this.

"Captain, I don't know which unit he was previously with. But according to the Ministry of Defense, these veteran reinforcements are soldiers who survived the Endymion Military Operation."

Hearing this explanation, Felix understood the situation.

Looking down at Miguel's file, Felix thought to himself.

So in the original storyline, this unlucky character must have joined Creuset's team for similar reasons.

"Integrate them normally into the team, and have Heine and Doulens properly train these newcomers to prevent them from retaining their previous unit's habits."

Placing the documents on the desk, Felix instructed Aric. Aric raised his hand in salute and responded.

"Yes, sir!"

Lowering his arm, Aric turned and walked out.

Half a month later, in the military commander's office at Lorentz Military Base.

Sitting in his chair, Felix leaned against the backrest with one hand on the desk, his fingers lightly tapping the surface as his gaze focused on the document content displayed on his computer.

After a minute or two, Felix's eyes moved away from the computer as he murmured to himself.

"So they want me to provide support and contain the Earth Alliance Forces on the moon!"

After saying this, Felix busied himself working on the computer.

Two hours later, Aric was summoned.

"Captain, you called for me?"

Aric entered and inquired of Felix.

Looking up at Aric, Felix explained the mission assigned to them by the Ministry of Defense and outlined his arrangements.

"To coordinate with the offensive forces, we will conduct multiple exercises near the Grimaldi Front over the coming period, creating the impression that we are ready to attack Ptolemaeus Lunar Base at any moment.

This is the detailed plan I've prepared. Distribute it to the other team leaders."

"Yes, sir!"

Aric took the documents and responded promptly.

Holding the file in one hand, Aric saluted with the other, then lowered his arm and turned to leave.

After he departed, Felix began pondering other matters.

Time flew by, and nearly a month passed in the blink of an eye.

"The battle in the L4 sector has concluded, so our diversionary efforts can end. Starting tomorrow, the previous exercises will no longer be necessary.

Aside from essential patrols, everyone else can take a proper rest."

Felix relayed this to Aric, who nodded, committing the order to memory while awaiting further instructions. Seeing Aric still standing there,

Felix waved him off.

Aric saluted once more, then turned and exited.

Three days later, "Captain, the person you asked Corey to find has been located."

Standing before Felix, Aric delivered the report.

Felix looked up at him and asked, "Has the information been kept confidential?"

Aric shook his head and replied, "We have our people in the supply transport unit—individuals secretly recruited according to your earlier requirements, who share our ideals. The information was relayed through them."

"What did the girl say?"

Felix gave a slight nod and pressed further. Aric shook his head in response.

"Corey is still in the process of making contact. It may take some time to persuade her to join us."

"Instruct Corey to proceed without exposing our intentions."

"Yes, sir."

Aric saluted and acknowledged the order.

Lowering his arm, he turned and left the room.

After Aric's departure, Felix leaned back in his chair, gazing up at the ceiling.

I truly hope all these preparations prove unnecessary. "Why have all of you come to me?"

Felix felt exasperated as he faced the group of officials' children. He remembered that in the original timeline, they were all part of Creuset Team, yet here they were, gathered in his office.

"Captain, we are currently in a training phase. We'll be interning under you for one month before officially graduating."

Athrun explained to Felix.

Hearing the term "internship," Felix showed a trace of confusion. He didn't recall such a requirement during his own time at the Military Academy.

Back then, graduation meant immediate assignment.

"Captain Griffith, the Military Academy has undergone reforms since your time. All students are now required to complete a one-month internship. Assignments are determined based on performance during this period, rather than solely on academic results.

Our instructor mentioned that this change was made to help us cadets adapt to the battlefield in a relatively secure environment."

Noticing Felix's puzzled expression, Nicol, one of the five, stepped forward to clarify.

After listening to Nicol's explanation, Felix understood the situation while thinking to himself.

"In the original work, I never heard of anything like an internship. Could it be that changes occurred because I came to this world? In that case, you should focus on your internship here! If there's anything you don't understand or can't handle, feel free to ask anyone here at any time."

"If they don't know the answer, you can also come ask me."

Looking at the group with a smile, Felix spoke in a gentle tone. After saying this, he bid farewell to the five people and strode off toward the direction of his office.
