"What are you thinking about?"
A voice reached his ears, and Felix snapped out of his thoughts, looking at Patrick who had asked the question.
After organizing his words internally, he spoke.
"I was thinking about who else we might find as a breakthrough."
Herman turned to glance at Felix before looking back at Patrick and suggesting.
"Perhaps we could ask Creuset."
Patrick looked at Herman, thought for a moment, then nodded.
"Mm."
Turning to Ezalia, Patrick assigned the task.
"Ezalia, I'm leaving this matter to you."
"Mm."
Ezalia nodded slightly, her expression serious as she accepted the responsibility.
Listening to Patrick's arrangements, Felix showed little sign of relief internally, sighing quietly to himself.
'Alas! It probably won't be of much use even if we ask him. That old fox is deeply hidden.'
"Felix."
Patrick's call reached his ears, and Felix collected his thoughts to look at Patrick, responding respectfully.
"Chairman, please go ahead!"
"To prevent the Lorentz Military Base from falling, I plan to send you to the Lorentz Military Base again as the supreme military commander. What do you think?"
Looking at Felix, Patrick maintained a calm expression as he waited for a response. Under his gaze, Felix replied straightforwardly.
"I will follow all arrangements from the Ministry of Defense."
"You will depart for the Lorentz Military Base in two days."
Patrick nodded with satisfaction as he announced this.
After speaking, he looked at Felix, his expression softening considerably, and asked with concern in his tone.
"Do you have any requests?"
"Could I be provided with a more advanced Guuru, based on the one I previously used, that can operate in various environments like space and Earth?"
After thinking for a moment, Felix came up with some ideas and presented them to Patrick. Upon hearing this, Patrick nodded and asked further.
"What specific requirements do you have for this Guuru?"
"No special requirements, just better performance."
Felix shook his head as he replied.
Hearing this, Patrick nodded and agreed to the request.
"No problem, we'll equip you with one as quickly as possible."
After speaking, he looked at Felix and asked again.
"Any other requests?"
"None."
Felix shook his head in response.
He then stood up and saluted Patrick, who nodded in acknowledgment, saying.
"In that case, take two more days of rest before heading to the Lorentz Military Base."
"Yes."
Felix responded crisply.
He lowered his arm, turned, and headed outside.
After leaving the Ministry of Defense, Felix arrived at the elevator lobby.
Junius City, District Seven
"Why are you back so suddenly?"
Wendy looked at her son who had returned, full of surprise, a joyful smile on her face as she asked.
She placed the fruit plate she was carrying on the table.
Looking up at his mother, Felix smiled slightly.
"I'm on leave, came back to see you all."
At this point, Felix paused mid-sentence and shifted the topic with concern.
"Are you and Dad both doing well?"
"We're fine! We're fine!"
A smile spread across Wendy's face as she responded repeatedly. She placed the orange she had picked up into Felix's hand and stood up to look at her son.
"Have some fruit here. I'll go buy some groceries."
"Mom, don't bother. Just make some simple home-cooked dishes."
Hearing that she was going grocery shopping again, Felix thought about how his mother would busily prepare a full table of dishes and felt heartache. He reached out to hold his mother's hand and persuaded her.
Wendy looked at her son, her face showing an expression that brooked no refusal. She removed his hand and said seriously,
"You rarely come back. It's only right that I make you some good food. Just wait at home."
After speaking, without waiting for her son to say more, Wendy headed for the door. Seeing his mother's determination, Felix could only relent, thinking to himself:
When Mom returns, I'll help her cook and share the workload. Watching his mother leave home, Felix turned his gaze back to the TV program, quietly peeling and eating the orange she had given him while watching television.
The next day, "Mom, Dad, I'm leaving."
Standing at the door, Felix bid farewell to his parents.
Watching her son prepare to leave again, Wendy's eyes grew moist, feelings of reluctance spreading through her heart. Seeing his mother's unwillingness to let go, Felix stepped forward and gave her a warm hug.
"Mom, I'll be back soon."
"Be careful and make sure to come back.Holding her son, Wendy gently patted his back, her voice tinged with reluctance and worry as she urged him.
Hearing the reluctance and concern in his mother's words, Felix felt uncomfortable.
"Alright! Don't delay our son's schedule.Seeing his wife's reluctance, Chris patted her shoulder and persuaded her. Hearing her husband's words, Wendy loosened her tight embrace of Felix.
After his mother let go, Felix also released her.
Turning to look at his father, just as he was about to say something, his father's embrace came.
"Be safe on the road. His father's admonition sounded in his ear.
Felix nodded slightly and reached out to hug his father.
Soon, his father ended the embrace and stood up.
"Go ahead!"
Chris looked at his son with a gratified smile.
Felix nodded to his father, glanced at his mother, and nodded to her as well.
"I'm leaving."
After speaking these three words,
Felix turned and left home under his parents' reluctant gazes.
Another day passed. On the bridge of the Alighieri, "Captain, how long will we stay at Lorentz this time?"
"Not sure."
Turning to look at Aric, Felix replied with a smile.
After speaking, he gazed at the space ahead and remarked with emotion,
"But I think we'll be staying at the Lorentz Military Base for a long time to come."
"If that's the case, it might get boring!"
Hearing this, Aric thought for a moment and said.
Looking at Aric, Felix didn't respond. Seeing this, Aric didn't ask further and sat in his chair, commanding the warship to proceed forward.
In the Lorentz Military Base, "Captain Griffith, we meet again."
"Yes, we meet again."
Looking at Creuset with his mask and fake smile before him, Felix suppressed the urge to act and greeted him with a smile.
After exchanging greetings, Felix looked at Creuset and asked, "Captain Creuset, what are your plans next?"
"Naturally, I'll follow the arrangements of the Ministry of Defense."
With an unwavering smile, Creuset spoke with an appearance of obedient compliance. Watching him and hearing his words, Felix sneered inwardly.
