Pinned against the ravine's rock wall with no escape, Cao Yuan spat a mouthful of dark blood at the advancing monster. The beast's tail, which looked like a chainsaw, dragged along the rocky ground, leaving behind deep furrows.
Taking advantage of the moment that the monster was distracted, Cao Yuan dashed to his left in an attempt to escape, but the fast-moving beast anticipated his move and blocked his way down the mountain. Cao Yuan quickly realized that he would not be able to retreat easily. The Berserk Armored Thug Soldier had blocked his way down the mountain, and the rocky terrain was not easy to navigate. He had no choice but to fight the monster head-on. With no any other optiom but to use the power of the two runes to bridge the power gap between him and the beast.

Cao Yaun let it come closer before sidestepping the claws and landing a heavy punch on the creature's right ear. The beast let out a guttural roar as it spun around, sending its head to the side.
The beast however maximize it body position, as it whipped its tail, carving a clean furrow on the ground, only for Cao Yuan to jump over it and perform a backward somersault dodging it with his massive frame.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
With his new fund strength, Cao Yuan moved to the side of the creature's head with great fluidity and sent out consecutive punches to the spot he had previously attacked.

The monster roared angrily as a loud cracking sound reverberated from where Cao Yuan's fist met its head. Turning it head around, it bit on cao yaun wrist before he could move his hands away. They exchanged blows furiously as the creature's tail slashed across Cao Yuan's side, carving a deep gash. In turn, he smashed his fist into the creature's head, cracking more of its carapace.

The beast angrily roared as a large gust of wind billowed, its aura intensifying and expanding alongside its colossal body before stopping as it grew to twice its initial size.

Before Cao Yuan could realize what was happening, the beast whipped its tail at him, sending him flying backward. He crashed into a boulder several meters away, breaking the rock into smaller pieces.
The berserk monster followed up with another attack, but it missed as the first one had sent Cao Yuan flying while he rolled away from the second tail sweep. The missed blow sent the left-over boulder crashing down, crushing it into dust, blanketing the area in haziness.
The berserk monster charged into the mist, attacking furiously with its crimson eyes unable to see Cao Yuan in the dust. It stopped attacking after few minutes of relentles attacks, when it realized that none of its blows were connecting with its opponent.
When the dust cleared, it swiveled its head in search of Cao Yuan. the beast charged down the mountain with its powerful body moving like a supersonic comet as it spot Cao Yaun's escaping figure down the rugged slope.
Feeling the creatures carnage appraoching him, Cao Yuan had initialy wanted to take the dust cover and escape from the crazied beast, cursed at his bad luck and the beast persistance. As it get nearer to him, Cao Yaun moved his body as it hurtle past him, at the same tiem, he sent a heavy sonic punch into its side. The force of the blow sent shockwaves rippling through the beast's body, penetrating its tough scales and damaging its internal organs.
The monster let out a guttural roar as blood flowed freely from the cracks on its armors, but the display the attack seams to only made it go crazier. it suddenly become a menance, berserk energy chaotically radiatiing from its body, it tail flailing around furiously.
After trading several blows with the creature, Cao Yuan realized he would not be able to win the fight with his current state. within minute cao yaun activated the berserk power of the two runes simulteneaosly. A massive wave of power surged through his body as his strength increased twofold. The power from the two runes added up, with each providing an additional fifty percent power. His bones and muscles groaned under the strain of the massive power.
The berserk armoured thug soldier, noting the sudden change in his pray's aura, lunged forward with a feral hiss, its massive jaws wide open. Cao Yaun evaded the beast and landed a devastating palm strike to the creature's head, cracking its skull in one fluid motion.
The monster retaliated by biting him on the shoulder, its powerful jaws almost tearing his bones out. Cao Yuan let out a painful roar and drove his elbow into the beast eye, forcing it to let go. He followed up with a sonic punch to its throat, stunning it.
The two of them traded several more blows as Cao Yuan and the monster continued to fight furiously. The mountain slope was strewn with broken rocks and spattered with the beast's blood. Cao Yuan's body was littered with fresh wounds as he took several more blows to his arms, chest, and legs. The monster was also not in a good state, with its scales cracked in several places and one of its eyes swollen and bloodshot.
The two combatants continued to trade blows furiously as they exchanged injuries with each other. The mountain slope was littered with broken rocks and blood. Cao Yuan's body was riddled with injuries, with deep gashes on his arms, chest, and legs. The beast was not doing any better than him. Its carapace was cracked in several places, and one of its eyes was clouded with blood.
The overload made Cao Yuan stronger, but it also put a strain on his body. Every movement sent jolts of pain through his body. He continued to fight the creature, combining his regular punches with sonic punches, using the latter to penetrate the creature's thick hide and damage its interior

As the creature charged at him again, Cao Yuan stepped right into its biting range and allowed it to clamp its powerful jaws on his left shoulder. The beast's bone-crushing jaws tore through his flesh, sending waves of pain through his body. He gritted his teeth in pain and pushed his right arm back as he channeled all his power into his fist.

The fist crashed massively into the center of the creature's chest carapace. The beast's golem-like skin took the brunt of the blow, but the shock wave force sent massive internal damage to its organs and other soft tissues. The monster cry out as it released Cao Yuan's shoulder, with a stream of blood flowing out of its nostrils and throat.
Furious and madder than ever, the berserk monster thrashed its body, managing to whip its tail around and slice Cao Yuan's ribs, cutting through his muscles with ease like slicing tofu.

Cao Yaun reacted quickly, by returning three consecutive dead blood, crackin more of its scale.Unfortunately Cao Yuan's overload was beginning to take a toll on him as his bones ached, and his vision blurred. He could feel the creature's strength beginning to wane as well.
Putting more strength behind his attack, Cao Yaun sent a powerful sonic punch into the creature's head. The blow sent shockwaves rippling through the beast's body. letting out a bloodcurdling roar it flaid its body around furiously. Moving around the crazied beast, Cao Yuan found an opportunity again, landing another devastating sonic punch to its head.
The monster let out a roar of pain but it continued attacking with it sharp claws from it hind legs. Cao Yuan continued to pummel the creature with all his might before grabbing its head with both hands and delivering a devastating point-blank sonic punch.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The creature let out another roar of anguish, but it continued fighting instead of escape, rage clouding it natural insticnt. Cao Yuan used his enhanced strength and speed to trade several more blows with the berserk creature. In a single swift motion, after being stunned, Cao Yuan grabbed the monster's head and twisted with all his might, cracking its neck with a loud pop.
With a heavy thud, the massive Berserk Armored Thug Soldier hit the ground, its armoured chin planting heavily on the ground.
Cao Yuan immidiately severed the connection to his runes, causing the blinding red light on his chest to dissipate, as the two runes dimmed. The sudden backlash of the overload nearly knocked him off his feet. The barserk state took a great toll on him as he staggered backward and slumped against the cliff face.
Gasping for breath, Cao Yuan leaned against the cliff wall as he stood over the two monsters, breathing heavily as his body bore the wounds of the hard-fought battle. He quickly harvested whatever valuable parts he could get from the two creatures, namely the goat's horns and hooves, before the scent of blood attracted more monsters.
The sun was beginning to set as he made his way back to the city. He had to get back to Baixun city before nightfall. With the new bounty in his possession, he made his way down the mountain path.
