Heaven's POV
The golden cord was extended towards the quadruplets Damian, Damon, Desmond, and Dylan — all four of them.
It continued to draw me closer to them until I was standing in front of the platform.
I closed my eyes for a while, hoping for it to all be a dream, hoping that I could wake up from this nightmare, but when I opened my eyes , The four golden cords were still extended from my wrist to each of the quadruplets.
The quadruplets, were my mates, and I was mated to all four of them.
The Gasp and murmurs increased.
The four brothers were staring at their wrists in shock.
"This... This isn't possible," Desmond muttered.
Demian took a step back as if the cord was an abomination. "Get this off me!" He snapped, grabbing the cord and pulling it hard, hoping to break it, but it didn't budge.
"I will never accept this. Damian said sharply.
Dylan slowly lifted his head until he was looking me in the eye and I saw pure anger in them. "If this is a prank, end it now!"
I wanted the ground to open and swallow me, hearing their rejection. Even though h I didn't have a wolf, I still felt every single one of it in my heart.
Before anyone could speak again, Sofia screamed.
"She did this," Sofia screamed suddenly. Sophia stormed towards me, pointing at me like I was shit. She used witchcraft.
"Look at her, she doesn't even have a wolf. So how else would this have happened if she didn't bewitch them?
Damon looked at me with so much anger."Explain yourself," he demanded, staring at me like it was my fault.
I didn't do anything. They were accusing me of using voodoo and it hurts more than their reduction.
They each tried to break the cord by pulling it again but nothing happened.
Sophia broke down crying. "Y…you love me. You promised to be with me," She sobbed.
"You said I am yours,Please reject her. All of you. Please."
"We can't be mated to a traitor's daughter, Damian said coldly. "It's an abomination."
"Wait," Sophia said pointing at the beads on the floor "I saw that fall from her neck before the cord appeared. I'm sure she must have worked with a witch to make it seem like she's your mate."
I wanted to deny it, but I couldn't talk. I shook my head furiously. She had given me the hex bag herself, and now she was accusing me of voodoo!
Wolves turned to stare at me with suspicion and hatred. They all began to murmur.
"Quiet," Elder Mordecai commanded, he gestured to a junior priests to bring one of the beads.
The priest retrieved d the beads and brought it to the elder. He examined it carefully, , running his fingers over it.
He muttered something under his breath and the bead glowed briefly with a a blue light.
"This is a mere stench charm, Elder Mordecai announced. "It's harmless, but I wonder why you had it around your neck. Did you plan to ruin the ascension with bad odor?"
He said facing me but but I just kept my head down, not understanding what he meant because I knew it was a hex bag and not a stench bag or a charm or whatever he had called it. Sofia had gifted it to me so that I could smell less so people wouldn't notice and stare at me.
"Well, I know it's a stench charm, but how the hell was she able to bewitch the Alphas then?"
My eyes widened in horror and I lifted my head towards Sofia. She gave me a stench charm? She deceived me again and I fell for it like a fool.
When I heard her confirm it so easily, my mind went blank. For a moment, I thought I heard her wrong, but then the truth sank k in and my chest began to ache so badly.
My hand began to tremble from the sudden shame and anger rising in my throat. What hurt the most was how stupid I felt.
I believed her when she said it was harmless. I wore it Because I thought she was protecting me, I thought she was becoming friendly to me because e of old times.
I couldn't even defend myself. I could only stand there, not able to move. I just looked down at you.
"The moon goddess has chosen heaven for the alphas," Father Dominic said.
"No,pl…please, don't accept this," Sofia screamed.
The quadruplets were staring at me with even more hatred now, as if I had somehow orchestrated this nightmare.
"We would like to reject this bond," Damian said coldly, and his brothers nodded in agreement.
Elder Mordecai frowned. "That cannot be possible. If you reject his bond , you might as well just kiss your title goodbye. Because... It means that you reject the blessings of the Moon Goddess herself."
"So you expect us to accept her? This filthy daughter of a traitor," Damon growled.
"The Moon Goddess expect you to accept it," Elder Mordecai replied.
The ballroom was quiet. I received stares from all corners.
I didn't want all this. All I wanted was to get my wolf and leave this pack. To start a new life somewhere far away, where nobody knew me as the traitor's daughter. Instead, I was now mated to the four brothers who hated me so much and now, I'll forever be trapped in this pack.
I hope that the floor will open and swallow me.
"There is another matter," Elder Mordecai continued. "It is tradition that the mates of the alphas must stand beside them during their ascension ceremony."
"Absolutely not, Damian said instantly.
"Then there will be no ascension. The ritual cannot be completed without your mate beside you," Elder Mordecai replied.
The quadruplets looked at each other angrily. They didn't have a choice to make what was said.
"Fine" Damian spot. "She can stand there."
Elder Mordecai gestured me to approach. I climbed to the platform trembling and stood beside the quadruplet. They shifted away from me immediately, keeping as much distance as the cord would allow.
Father Dominic began the ceremony. He anointed Damian, Damon, Desmond, and Dylan with sacred oil as he blessed them.
When it was complete, Elder Mordecai presented each of them with ceremonial rings, a thick band of silver, with pack symbols written around it, and the mate bond instantly became invincible.
Elder Mordecai has raised his hand. "The initiation is complete. The Bloodstone Brothers are officially Alphas of the Full Moon Pack."
People began to clap, but it was less happier than it should have been.
Everyone was still shocked from witnessing the traitor's daughter becoming the Quadruplet's mate.
"Didn't you hear him? Or are you suddenly deaf too? We are done, now get out" Damian said harshly as he turned to me.
"The ceremony isn't complete yet, Elder Mordecai said. "It remains a coronation."
"Then let's do it," Desmond said.
"You must have to marry your mate to finalize the coronation," the priest said.
"What?!" Dylan said in shock.
"We have to marry that ?"Damon said, gesturing to me like I was plagued.
"No, no, no, no, no. They can't do this. Th… They don't love her. They love me. I'm supposed to be their Luna!" Sofia cried.
She fell to the floor and started crying heavily, like a newly mated wolf who just just caught her mate cheating.
Before I could process what was happening, the quadruplets stepped down the platform and rushed towards Sofia.
They knelt beside her and hugged hugged her to her feet. They spoke to her softly as they tried to calm her down so that she would stop shaking.
Damian looked up angrily. "We are not doing this. We are not hurting Sofia like this."
"Yes, we can't."Damon said.
While Desmond and Dylan continued to pet Sofia in the sweetest way in front of the whole pack, While I,their mates just watched silently
They didn't even look at me. They didn't acknowledge me. They just continued to comfort the girl they truly wanted.
"You need to think about this carefully." I heard Beta Lucian say as he stepped forward.
And the whole pack became silent immediately. Thy all turned their head towards a Beta Lucian.
"No, Uncle. We don't need to marry someone we don't want to." Desmond Snapped
"And we don't need to listen to you," Damian said coldly. "You're not our guardian anymore. We're old enough to make our own decisions."
Beta Lucian stepped closer to them. "You're grown men, whining like little children, He continued
"Have you even thought about the pack?" He continued. "You will lose your titles as Alphas, so think carefully and make the right decision. Accept the marriage."
Finally, Damian then looked at the priest and nodded, accepting defeat.
"The wedding will take place in five days,"The priest announced
"It is the most auspicious day according to the month calendar."
The brothers didn't say y anything, they were angry and frustrated. Sofia continued to cry in their arms while I just stood on the platform all alone as they announced our wedding.
In Five days, I would marry the Four men who wished I was dead.
