The Supremacy System

The Supremacy System is a mysterious system bound exclusively to William. Its true origin remains unknown.

The system exists to accelerate growth, disrupt fate, and optimise power acquisition, but it is not omnipotent and is still bound by certain rules.

SYSTEM SHOP

So the system shop has categories.

ARTIFACTS—Bio-Mech orb, crimson aeon sword, chocolate vending machine

TECHNIQUES - primordial God flow scripture, heaven-sundering divine art

CONSUMABLE ITEMS—one-time teleportation scrolls and stuff

PHYSIQUES AND BLOODLINES - fusion core

SYSTEM SERVICES - infinite inventory, divine mail

>> Now I generally get asked that if the system says he can buy anything in the shop, then why doesn't he buy omnipotence, god hood, infinite mana, etc, etc.

>> Well, it's a great idea to be honest, I hope it was practical enough to apply to my novel, but the problem is when I wrote that part.

I meant that everything that lies in the above categories—every item he buys—actually lies in the above categories.

Now, theoretically, he could buy infinite mana, but it's not that simple; getting something from a shop doesn't guarantee smooth integration with the self.

Remember when Will bought the fusion core? He writhed in pain as the internal structure of his body was completely changed.

Now, imagine if the boy had infinite mana; would he be able to use that mana before it kills him?

As a civil engineer myself, let me explain: if you build a dam on a river containing millions of metric tons of water,

You first need to get the designs right and build a very strong foundation and a heavy-duty body so that it can contain the millions of tons of pressure.

Even after doing that, dams are not absolute and will break after a few centuries.

In the story, when Will overexerts his mana and Lawless Adaptation increases his mana capacity, his core gets cracked.

If an infinite source of mana is purchased, he won't be able to handle it.

At least that's how my world works.

-----

I know there is no logic behind the system and the shop. No matter how much I try to justify the limits of the shop, they are beyond any logic.

But at the end of it all, it is a matter of choice. I can make him get infinite mana and also justify it with logic, but I won't, at least right now.

It's a matter of creative choice; I would rather not shatter the plot so much that the reader isn't able to enjoy it at all.

The novel is already fast-paced in my opinion; adding unmeasured abilities will just end the story in five chapters hehe ヾ(≧▽≦*)o.
