Chapter 93 - Chapter 93: Jump Slash Against the Mob

Unable to hold back any longer, Seele didn't say another word and rushed forward with her scythe, ready to have it out with Mill.

Meanwhile, Svarog took Clara and left.

Although it looked like a tall, bulky machine, Svarog's movement speed was unexpectedly fast.

After Svarog departed, even more robots emerged, slowly pressing in on everyone. It looked like a fierce battle was unavoidable.

Facing the approaching mechanical army, everyone showed cautious expressions, gripped their weapons tightly, and prepared to face the coming fight.

Nero raised a hand to cover his forehead. "Oh my god, this is basically a mechanical apocalypse!"

"I feel like I've fallen into a disaster movie right now. You know, the one we watched before getting off the train," March complained with half-lidded eyes.

"You mean Mechanical Planet: Galactic Uprising?" Stelle said.

"Yeah." March nodded.

Dan Heng also raised a hand to his forehead at this moment, as if some tragic memories he didn't want to recall were surfacing. Rarely, he spoke in a tone full of regret, "That movie… I honestly wonder where the company even found that director and screenwriter…"

"Indeed." Nero nodded. "That film, whether you treat it as a war movie or a disaster movie, was unprecedentedly bad…"

Bronya stood behind them, confused about what on earth these outsiders were talking about.

'Why did their moods suddenly drop like that?'

Bronya, who had never watched bad movies, had no idea what it felt like to have her mind and spirit violated.

But with a powerful enemy right in front of them, she didn't have time to think about it or ask for clarification. She quickly raised her gun and began firing at the robots.

The Trailblazer squad also sprang into action at that moment.

Nero was the first to engage, opening with a jump slash.

The chainsaw in the youth's hands, borrowed from Gearwolf, instantly split the target in two. The tremendous force behind the blow even shook several spider-type automata into the air.

March immediately condensed a bow and arrows out of six-phase ice. Several sharp arrows flew out, freezing those airborne automata with pinpoint accuracy.

Dan Heng and Stelle, however, fought in completely different ways.

After charging into the formation, Dan Heng relied on his proficient Cloud Knight spear techniques and the weapon's reach advantage. He held his ground, using footwork as his long spear danced like a roaming dragon, sweeping, lifting, thrusting, stabbing, knocking away every automaton that came close.

The robots surged forward in swarms, yet not a single one could get near him.

And Stelle? As always, she swung her bat and charged straight into the fray, knocking one here, smashing one there, left hit, right smash.

Her bat swings looked completely unstructured, yet within the chaos there was order. Amid the overlapping shadows of the bat, she barreled through like a barbarian, utterly wrecking the robots' attack formation.

As everyone knows, rules are meant to be broken, and enemy lines exist to be smashed.

After several consecutive jump slashes, Nero stopped.

The boy hovered in midair, looking at the patches of empty space that had appeared within the robot army because of his jump slashes.

Nero sighed, then casually tossed away the chainsaw in his hand.

Once there were too many enemies, jump slashes weren't that effective anymore.

He needed something with faster crowd-clearing speed.

Then, Nero gathered his power. A whirlwind spiraled around him, and one by one, small swords about the size of a finger appeared around his body.

In the end, dozens of these small swords appeared.

Nero named these emerald-green little swords Wind Swords.

After that, another gentle breeze spread out from Nero, wrapping around the Wind Swords and further deepening the connection between him and them.

Wind Swords plus a breeze in both sleeves.

Nero raised his hand and pointed toward the robot army below.

"Go!"

In the next instant, the Wind Swords flew together in the direction Nero pointed, raining down like raindrops, instantly piercing through large numbers of robots.

Then, under Nero's control, the Wind Swords began darting back and forth through the robot army, flowing with incredible elegance.

They continuously shredded the robots, like a sudden storm sweeping across the battlefield, wherever it went, everything was carried away by the gale, leaving only scattered debris behind.

Finally, the Wind Swords spread out, all stabbing into the ground, then vanished.

Nero looked around and felt it was about right, so he slowly descended.

He raised his hand, lightly hooking a finger in front of him. A flowing current of wind instantly tightened into a thin cyan line. That line gave off a sense of fear, as if it wasn't a strand of condensed wind at all, but an incomparably sharp sword.

As Nero slowly drew his finger downward along the condensed thread, a violent storm suddenly erupted across the battlefield, sweeping the robots up into the sky.

Even Mill, who was fighting Seele, couldn't stabilize itself. Its massive body was also caught up in this sudden storm and lifted into the air.

In that instant, it was as if every strand of wind was a sword in Nero's hand, and every path carved by the flowing air was a sword mark he left behind.

Slash!

The fierce wind passed through, and the robots that had been swept together in midair instantly shattered into countless pieces, then clattered down to the ground.

Just now, it felt as if countless slashes had passed through their bodies, countless sword edges slicing them apart like tofu.

In the blink of an eye, those robots had already turned into a heap of scrap metal.

After dealing with the robots, Nero plopped down onto the ground.

The boy let out a long breath and raised a hand to wipe away sweat that didn't actually exist on his forehead.

"Ah!"

Nero suddenly widened his eyes and shouted as if he had just remembered something.

"I forgot to take photos for Mr. Yang!"

Nero turned his head, looked at the pile of wreckage on the ground, his eyes darted around, and he pursed his lips before still pulling out his phone and snapping a few pictures.

"Whatever. Smashed robots are still robots. Mr. Yang probably won't mind."

Seele and Bronya, the two local natives of Jarilo-VI, stared at Nero in shock. The strength of these outsiders seemed to far exceed imagination.

Meanwhile, the three from the Express crew walked over with expressions of complete familiarity.

"Nero~ If you had moves like that, you should've used them earlier!" March squatted down behind Nero and reached out to poke his cheek.

"Using moves that strong is really exhausting!" Nero leaned back naturally, resting against March, then added with a slightly aggrieved tone, "If you guys weren't all hiding your own tricks, I wouldn't have needed to."

Dan Heng closed his eyes and turned his head away, refusing to look at Nero.

Stelle raised a hand to scratch her head, signaling that next time she definitely would.

March, meanwhile, hooked her arms under Nero's armpits and helped him back to his feet.

"Hehe… you're so strong, the capable ones do more work!"

March also stood up. "By the way, how many big guys like that Mills thing does Svarog have under him?"

Coming back to her senses, Seele glanced at Nero. Instead of answering March's question directly, she asked, "You guys… do all of you have power like that?"

March blinked twice. "How could that be? That was obviously a burst of potential! Didn't you see how tired this kid was, sitting on the ground just now? If you try hard enough, you could do it too!"

Seele, "..."

Bronya, "..." Suddenly feeling a bit scared, 'If this kid had used that move back on the Edge Passage back then…'
