Chapter 4 - A hard working talent

My mom deflates letting out a sigh as I choose my dad's jutsu over hers and my dad cries in happiness telling me that I really am his son I guess he really needed this win after being worried I might've secretly been a Hatake of course he didn't actually think that though.Being my first time learning a jutsu it took me awhile even though I had an affinity for it and better understanding then others as well as better chakra control then others my age with it always improving with my practicing to use sensory jutsu daily even though I have always failed at it because I lack chakra control on that level still but I master the Jutsu in 2 months which completely blows my parents minds.In the ninja academy the Jutsu you have to learn is much easier and most take longer then that to learn them even though it was my first time learning a jutsu but honestly if I had more chakra and better control and knew how to use jutsu before I could've learned it in a week which is a huge difference I wouldn't have completely mastered it but I could've at least learned it.I practice using the Jutsu whenever I can making the hand signs quicker and quicker as they become muscle memory I even practiced using the hand signs for it when I was reading while squatting to exercise.I finally started learning the Hatake saber manuals with them being far harder then any of the others before it with it being highly detailed and complex I still exercise while reading it increasing the weight on my hands as I mostly perform hand seals while squatting while reading now so my upper body strength doesn't start slacking and I can still improve my hand seal speed.I start practicing one handed hand seals once I become fully comfortable with the seals for my hidden in rock jutsu while I study the Hatake manuals with it being easy to practice them now that I have them down to habit.My parents having never seen anyone use jutsu with just one hand were skeptical but didn't stop me I was just practicing using it with one hand I wasn't actually using chakra to use the Jutsu as for the entirety of the rest of the year I memorize and study and practice the Hatake manuals adapting it to my saber style vastly improving it making it comparable to a Jonins kenjutsu technique who's learned from much past experience except my was more sloppy and slow still lacking actual experience and having to use it against my dad to see it's weaknesses and where to improve upon it still.My dad struggles against it now though with solely just trying to show me it's openings and weaknesses I mean obviously if it was a real fight he'd beat me in seconds knowing all my jutsu and techniques and what to avoid even if he can't match me solely in kenjutsu now.Thankfully however it's still enough pressure for me to see weaknesses and improve my technique as well as giving me more experience using it making me react faster with it them before as I continue to adapt to it and improve it til I'm 5.On my 5th birthday my parents gave me a choice of learning another jutsu but it has to be D rank which gave me plenty of options with simple genjutsu but when they handed me the list of jutsu they knew that I could choose from I almost flipped in happiness as I started laughing uncontrollably.My parents seeing this looked at each other before looking back at me before asking me if someone was wrong but I shook my head with an uncontrollable smile on my face as I pointed at a jutsu I chose I couldn't believe it was a D rank jutsu and knew it would improve my kenjutsu technique and overall fighting ability if I knew it.They looked down at the paper to see what jutsu I was so excited about before looking at each other with puzzled faces not really seeing it being that useful before agreeing to teach me it.I chose one of my favorite jutsu that's simply limited because I don't have a sharingan I chose the body flicker jutsu.If I learned it my attacks would become much faster making assassination easier, making fleeing easier,and allowing me to create distance for jutsu that requires lots of hand signs later.I could also overcome its limitations and tunnel vision with enough chakra focused on my eyes to enhance them the problem was it would require way to much chakra to do that even though it's possible it's just very inefficient technically you could enhance your eyes to register enough they become equal or even greater then the sharpness of even the mangeko sharingan and this has been proven to be true multiple times in canon.Kakashi told Naruto his eyes saw more then even Kakashi's own so he was the only one who could stop Sasuke in the valley of the end battle at the end of the series.Naruto was also able to see and dodge isshiki's attacks once he was amped with baryon mode moves Sasuke could barely even register with his eyes but yeah there's no way I'd use that much chakra to do that even if I could have that much later.I was mainly excited cause the body flicker was pretty much a total power boost with its speed making me even harder to keep up with along with my physical strength imagine it might Guy and Lee could use the body flicker Gaara would've had a hard time against Lee in the chunin exams before he even removed his weights if he did and it was just a D rank jutsu was mind blowing.I practice learning it and memorize all the notes my mom and dad give me on it wanting to fully understand it and the best part was it didn't require hand signs.I mastered it in just 2 weeks because it was a simple concept to understand and no difficult hand signs to learn and knowing how to manipulate chakra in my body now.Using the body flicker jutsu frequently after that also helped further improve my chakra control considering that the Jutsu required more chakra control in fact my parents were surprised I was even able to learn it not knowing my chakra control was as good as it was because usually it would be impossible to learn the body flicker jutsu until after graduating the ninja school.It was all thanks to me trying to use sensory jutsu everytime before I feel asleep to no avail I could probably walk on trees without training to now though.for nearly another 10 months I continue practicing my kenjutsu while using body flicker with It til I can't anymore getting more and more use to it.While I do I think that when I learn how to do a chakra scalpel for medical jutsu I could do it ontop my saber to use Sakumo's technique requiring precise chakra control but this obviously wasn't in the manual they'd never sell how to use the technique that made him so powerful and dangerous.I tried to use my body hidden in rock jutsu with one handed seals infront of my mom and dad too which worked to there surprise making them believe they were right about me being a peerless prodigy with no equal.I had secretly been trying to use simple genjutsu on my own in the mirror over this time too with me eventually achieving success after awhile but they were simple illusions nothing major.I just wanted to be able to make my saber look shorter in a fight or look like it grew like Sakumo did to scare others away from close combat even I couldn't beat them up close which wouldn't happen unless they were a Jonin with my saber technique being as good as it is right now.If I could spar with a Jonin I could push it even further to kage level kenjutsu only being worse then Sakumo's himself but my dad isn't strong enough to give me the pressure to see it's current weaknesses in a close combat fight.I also thought of how Deidra made one of his eyes immune to genjutsu through practice after Itachi nearly made himself blow himself up and secretly would cast genjutsu on my while in the bathroom in case I could accomplish that one day too.This encouraged me to ask my mom to spar with me frequently too with it being useful to begin learning to counter and fight someone skilled in genjutsu as well as hopefully help build immunity to the genjutsu and see what it's like to actually be in one to improve my own.When my parents learned I was able to use some simple genjutsu with being taught any they were even more blown away especially my dad since it happened in a spar with him when my mom tried to use genjutsu on me to help him cause we were in close combat cause I wanted pressure somehow to improve my kenjutsu so obviously he had to use close combat.I showed and opening when I was trapped in my mom's genjutsu and my dad went in to attack but as he did he got trapped in my genjutsu too seeing my blade extend with a chakra blade like Sakumo's nearly cutting off his head scaring him half to death as he fell down seeing Sakumo in me for a moment before my mom released her genjutsu on me and rushed to me dad seeing his terrified expression to ask what was wrong when he clearly had me in that fight after her genjutsu.When he told my mom she froze her blood turning cold before she looked at me with a smile as I used the genjutsu on her to show her blowing her mind I managed to do that on my own.I finally went to the Ninja academy too waiting all day there hoping to see Kakashi obviously I was training my taijustu while I waited doing exercises but he never showed so hopefully next year I could join with him.Someone else did show though right as I was about to leave and it was none other then Might Guy.I completely forgot he tried to join the ninja academy multiple times because he kept getting rejected as I saw him crying as he walked out with his father Might Dai comforting him I ran over to him introducing myself and telling him not to worry he'll definitely get in next year.Might Guy looked at me along with his father Might a Dai at my words seeing this my father was about to intervene thinking it was embarrassing before they both pulled me into a hug telling me this was what youth was all about.My dad seeing this turned pale at the sight telling them he was sorry if I bothered them and not to take it to heart before Might Guy asked if I entered this year.My dad answered for me telling them I didn't but I could easily get in if I wanted to because I was a genius.His words were harsh but he didn't mean it in a way that upset them just in a prideful way at me being so strong for his son.Might Dai seeing this saw the weights I was wearing and noticed they were even heavier the Guy's by 3 thousand pounds being a huge difference as he told Guy to keep his head up that I was a hard working genius before telling me where he lived and inviting me to train with them.My dad was about to intervene thinking of I trained with them I'd train them to death before I smiled and replied by saying I'd totally train with them forcing my dad to cough blood.Might Dai gave me a smile back with his teeth gleaming as he held a thumbs up before telling Guy they should run 500 laps around Konoha before going home and running off together.Seeing this my dad coughed more blood before taking me to the black smith that made my training saber.When we got there I requested a heavier training saber but the black smith said to us that he couldn't make a heavier wooden one it would have to all be made out of dense heavy metal and would be far heavier and cost much more to do that.My dad now pale from before just mumble and ok and gave him a thumbs up still thinking of Might Dai earlier as the black smith nodded asking if there was anything else when I asked for an actual chakra blade saber.The blacksmith looked hesitantly at my dad before telling me I could come back in half a month to pick them up and it would cost 15 thousand ryo.Hearing this my dad coughed blood again and fainted but I took out his wallet and handed over the money before carrying my dad home.My mom seeing me carry my dad in the door with blood dripping from his mouth was panicked to say the least til I told her everything that happened then she just laughed at him.Dad had a hard life but a nice one at least that's what I told myself to sleep at night after forcing him to spend that much ryo and nearly giving him a heart attack.I continued practicing til I got my new saber and training saber with my training saber being 500 pounds really hurting my wrist to use it was perfect and it had 2 notches on it one in the middle and one at the end to hold weights if I ever wanted to make it heavier with the stronger dense metal making it sturdy enough to hold up to 5 thousand pounds which was more then I even wore right now.Seeing I was happy my dad felt a little better still looking pale even after half a month had past.I keep training how I had been with sparing regularly against my dad and mom to hone my kenjutsu and to just hone myself and gain experience and using genjutsu on myself in the bathroom to build up resistance to it as well as to try to further improve my genjutsu seeing it's weaknesses for myself which also trained my eyes surprisingly but makes sense cause it did the same to Deidra.This made me thing that not only could I improve my genjutsu doing this improve my resistance against genjutsu I could also improve my eyes which improved my body flicker which improved my entire fighting style.I also noticed that my chakra was growing rapidly too the more I trained genjutsu as it helped train my might when I used it on myself and I was already training my body to the limit as well as what I gained from eating.To my surprise though my dad came home one day with a smile on his face telling me and my mom there would be a contest next year for the ninja school entrance exam that kids my age would be having and he wanted me to participate.Hearing this me and my mom were curious she was curious of what the prize would be but I was curious as to why my dad knew what was going on for kids my age forcing him to cough blood in embarrassment and my mom to laugh at him before he told he that he might've gotten a little drunk and bragged about me to Sakumo.Hearing this it was my mom's turn to go pale and cough blood before my dad answered that the hokage heard about it too and heard both me and Sakumo's kid were prodigies so there would be a B rank jutsu of the winners choice as a reward.Hearing this both my mom and dad were happy but I was nervous because this wasn't how it was supposed to go yeah there was a contest but it shouldn't be the ninja school's entrance exam and the reward shouldn't be a B rank jutsu.
