Our little corner of Stonehollow—the mountain range where the bear clans reside—erupts when we arrive.
Moonfall is done, and no one has seen or heard from us since. Correspondence is forbidden during the festival unless it's an absolute emergency, so none of our clanmates have a clue what's going on.
When we pass through the stone gate, we're met by tons of cheering and excitement—their sons and brothers are back. They're eagerly awaiting someone to recount the details of Moonfall to them and hear all the stories that came from the festival.
Hundreds of men have congregated in the central clearing alone. They're loud and sweaty, laughing and slapping each other's shoulders hard enough to bruise.
One of my and Roan's friends, Lathe, calls out over the noise, "Zor's back! Did you win, bro?!"
I glance in his direction, smirk, and shout back, "Obviously, I fucking won."
