Chapter 29 - Kureha (29)

The way there was short, and when they arrived, there were a bunch of villagers around. They all seemed to have some sort of weapon. The place was indeed quite freezing.

He didn't feel it though. The people seemed scared of them—probably because they had been attacked by pirates. That was the only thing he could think of right now.

Luffy wanted to dock, but they wouldn't let him, so he wanted to fight. But before Luffy could pull his BS, Vivi opened her mouth and said:

"Please let us in, one of our crewmates is infected and she needs a doctor, please."

The people still seemed somewhat on guard against them. To that, Kairo raised the blue-haired man in the air.

"Wapol!" was the name he heard when he did that, and they seemed even more on guard. Okay, this proved his little theory. This guy used to be the king of this island but left for some reason. And since they seemed so scared of pirates, he guessed they had been attacked by pirates and the king fled with his men.

Kairo's gaze landed on the 20 or so MDs. They were like the king's personal healing squad—cool.

He opened his mouth and said:

"Please spare our friend. I am willing to trade this traitorous king in exchange for her treatment."

The people were quiet for a bit.

"Don't you even dare consider it, I am your king, you are not allowed to treat me like this!"

Wapol was yapping way more than he should be right now. Almost made Kairo want to pop a bullet in his skull real quick.

Holy geez, his mentality was changing. It was certain the Tobirama trait was 100% affecting him to some level. He wasn't that dark or cold. For fuck's sake, he read a bunch of goofy books before he died, and while he loved his glorious king Tobirama, he didn't want to be exactly like him.

He was his own person, dammit. What next, was he finna be racist against the fishmen or something? This wasn't fair. This was truly some bullshit.

Anyway, a buff dude agreed to the trade, saying something about Doctor Kureha. They took the unconscious man, who was currently hungry, starving, and also still covered in seawater—which for some odd reason didn't seem like it wanted to melt.

As if some force was keeping it afloat.

The man said the doctor was on top of the mountain. Kairo blinked, his gaze on the 20 MDs.

"Why can't y'all heal her?"

They swallowed their saliva. He felt intimidating.

"We have analyzed her wounds, however we do not have the equipment required to do the operation."

Shit sounded like a BS plot excuse to be here... [yes].

Anyway, he was here, so they would get Doctor Kureha, or whatever her name was, and they would get Nami healed, and then leave.

They said something about what she demanded being quite a lot. Oh well, time to find said doctor.

"I found the old hag," Zoro would say—after which Kairo watched as Zoro was kicked into the wall with so much force he was sent flying, even creating a dent in the wall.

"Who you calling an old hag? I am only 139, I am in the prime of my youth!"

Damn, she old, was Kairo's thought—and as he thought that, the lady stared at him as if she could sense his thoughts.

"So you idiots are the ones who defeated Wapol."

BANG

Luffy was about to open his mouth to say something, but a punch from Kairo made him stop.

"The hell was that for?!"

"For saying something dumb."

"I didn't say anything!" the boy would complain.

"But you would have," Kairo added. Luffy looked mildly annoyed, though he did remember Kairo saying something about future sight. Was this the future sight Kairo was talking about—being able to see into the future and see what Luffy was going to say?

Currently, Kairo could see roughly 4-ish seconds into the future, but he preferred to use the 1-second-into-the-future version while in fights, as this gave him more time to synchronize his thoughts and movements with what he was seeing from the future sight.

He wasn't used to fighting with the 4-second version. He could go up to 3 seconds, though—4 was stretching it. His body was not used to such speed. He needed to train to get stronger. His conqueror coating was great, his ryo was also decent. When the Crocodile fight happened, he would take second dibs if Luffy couldn't do it—because he was more than sure he could defeat Crocodile. He wondered if he could beat Doflamingo...

Probably yeah. It was more likely than not, considering that guy was like lost time-skip Luffy extreme diff—and Kairo would beat the brakes, and I do mean the brakes, out of that Luffy.

It was as if someone like Elbaf/Egghead Zoro was returned back to pre-time skip. The smurfing that was finna happen in the next few islands would be truly goated.

A/N Since Capone has his men inside him due to his fruit yall think his men were in there when he was cracking Lola.
