Chapter 76: 90. Tang Kai — You Actually Gave Birth to a Beastman

Tang Kai continued, "Just right, you've reached level 90 too. Then kill that soul beast, take its soul ring and soul bone, become a Titled Douluo first, and then return to the sect with me."

Tang Hao hurriedly explained, "No, that's not my intention. She is my wife—I won't kill her." Although he had never absorbed a soul ring, it was definitely not because he coveted Ah Yin's hundred-thousand-year soul ring. Absolutely not.

"What did you say?" Tang Kai pointed at Ah Yin in shock and said, "You said that hundred-thousand-year-old soul beast is your wife, and also—"

"In those years, you harmed your own brother… for that soul beast?"

Tang Hao was silent, unable to find words to explain.

Tang Kai looked at Tang Hao like he was seeing a monster. Then his gaze shifted to the baby sleeping in the crib in the courtyard—little Tang San. "Don't tell me that child… was born of you and the soul beast. A beastman!"

"Uncle Kai, Tang San isn't a beastman!" Tang Hao protested.

"Half-human, half-soul-beast, a beastman mongrel—am I wrong?" Tang Kai said with undisguised contempt and disgust.

Tang Hao had no rebuttal.

"Tang Hao, you've disgraced your father, your grandfather, and your sect. You actually lay with a soul beast and bore a hybrid. Do you know how the world would view our Clear Sky Sect if this spread out?" Tang Kai said bitterly, filled with disappointment and rage.

(At this time—before Tang Hao became a power feared across the continent, and Tang San attained godhood—humans viewed unions between people and soul beasts as something utterly filthy, akin to mating with a dog and giving birth to a half-dog child. Except, well, dogs turned into cute little dog-eared girls.)

"I was with Ah Yin because of true love. The world has no right to judge our relationship." Tang Hao lifted his chin proudly. At this moment, he was like a being who looked down upon all existence, entirely indifferent to others' opinions. Indeed, in his memories, such things were beneath concern.

In his past life's memory, even if he had lusted after Ah Yin's body and united with a soul beast, Tang Hao was still the awe-inspiring Clear Sky Douluo who would one day dominate the continent. His son, Tang San, would ascend to godhood—a true god. Gods and mortals were wholly different beings; the masses were ants to them. Why would giants care about the thoughts of ants they could crush with ease?

"Tang Hao, you're beyond reason." Tang Kai withdrew his gaze from Tang Hao and turned it toward Ah Yin, then toward Tang San, his eyes filled with killing intent. "Since you refuse this soul beast, others in the sect await their ninth ring. And this mongrel—he must die today. If this matter spreads, what a stain it would be on our Clear Sky Sect."

As he spoke, Tang Kai raised his hammer and moved toward Ah Yin and Tang San.

Seeing this, Tang Hao could no longer hold back. He summoned the Clear Sky Hammer, blocking Tang Kai's path. "Uncle Kai, must you force me?"

"Step aside, Tang Hao! If not for this soul beast, the dual stars of Clear Sky would never have turned against each other! Today I'll kill this beastman mongrel, claim the hundred-thousand-year soul beast, and take you back to the sect." When he finished speaking, Tang Kai summoned nine soul rings. He swung his hammer mercilessly, sending Tang Hao flying, and then raised his hammer again toward the crib where Tang San lay.

Ah Yin saw this and wanted to stop him, but her soul power had long been sealed by Tang Hao.

She looked at Tang San in the crib, then at the descending Clear Sky Hammer. It was impossible for her not to feel bitterness toward the child—this offspring was her shame, a constant reminder of her tainted past. Yet he was still her flesh and blood. She couldn't bring herself to act against him.

As Tang Kai's hammer fell, she could only close her eyes in pain.

Tang Hao, whatever your schemes were… wasn't it all for this child? Now, the elder of your own sect wants to kill him. Ironic, isn't it?

In the Divine Realm, within the Eternal Temple—

The one Huo Yuhao had chosen, this Clear Sky Sect Titled Douluo, Tang Kai, was a man who viewed the sect as everything. To him, even the faintest blemish that might tarnish the sect's reputation was intolerable.

Someone like that could never allow Tang San—a half-human, half-soul-beast hybrid—to exist.

Tang San, at this point, had not yet shown his twin martial souls, his array of hundred-thousand-year soul rings, or his divine inheritance.

Huo Yuhao whispered softly toward Tang Kai, "Yes, that's right. The heir of the Clear Sky Sect mating with a soul beast and producing a beastman—imagine how the world would mock your so-called number-one sect. End this mongrel, erase the stain that threatens the Clear Sky Sect's future."

Then Huo Yuhao turned his gaze to Tang Hao. "So, which matters more to you, Tang Hao—your own blood and your future, or obedience to your sect? Which will you choose?"

For Tang Hao, the choice was not difficult.

As Tang Kai's massive hammer neared Tang San's tiny body, Tang Hao could no longer restrain himself. This child was his key to future ascension—to ruling the realm alongside Ah Yin, the foundation upon which his family would one day dominate the Douluo God Realm.

"Uncle Kai, don't force me!" Tang Hao summoned his Clear Sky Hammer, releasing the Killing God Domain. His eyes reddened, his breath furious and ragged.

"You dare raise your hand against a sect elder—"

"Ring detonation—Great Sumeru Hammer!"

The Clear Sky Hammer swelled to its limit, its red glow shining across the courtyard, murderous aura soaring as Tang Hao struck toward Tang Kai.

Tang Kai realized Tang Hao was serious and had no choice but to meet him head-on, swinging his hammer in return.

The two colossal hammers collided—red and blue lights clashing violently. The struggle didn't last long; soon Tang Kai's hammer was overwhelmed and shattered by Tang Hao's. Even his martial soul collapsed segment by segment.

Finally, Tang Kai stared in disbelief at the incoming Clear Sky Hammer. He had no time to dodge—it struck him squarely.

He felt his ribs snap, his organs twist within him, and his body was flung through the air before crashing heavily to the ground.

Cough, cough, cough… Tang Kai spat several mouthfuls of blood. Tang Hao had already withdrawn his hammer and stood before him, guilt written across his face. "Uncle Kai, you forced me."

"Tang Hao… you'd go this far for a… mongrel?" Tang Kai said weakly.

"Uncle Kai, Tang San is not a mongrel. He's my son. I won't allow you to harm him." Tang Hao continued, "And besides, if my son Tang San is protected and allowed to grow, he will bring prosperity to the Clear Sky Sect for tens of thousands of years. His existence will only benefit the sect."

Tang Kai sneered. "Are you joking? A beastman bringing fortune to our sect for millennia? Even your grandfather wouldn't dare boast so."

How could Tang Hao explain the future to such a stubborn elder? He sighed. "You shouldn't have come here, Uncle Kai. Leave. I won't hand over Ah Yin or Tang San."

"Just you wait, Tang Hao…" Tang Kai staggered to his feet and limped away.
