Chapter 72: Ning Tian and Wu Feng's Service
Before, Wang Dong had always just thrown on men's undergarments and covered them with an outer robe.
But now, all thanks to Ye Chen, she actually had to change her clothes properly…
And there was absolutely no way she'd let him see that.
"Fine, fine~"
Ye Chen shrugged and obediently turned around—but secretly perked up his ears.
"Don't even think about peeking! Or I won't talk to you again…"
After observing him for a moment and confirming he wasn't trying anything sneaky, Wang Dong finally began changing carefully.
First the nightdress…
Then the stockings…
Then the thin undergarments…
Trying to match her previous outfit, she accidentally picked a smaller set—too tight to wear comfortably—so she had to dig out another one.
Perhaps because she trusted Ye Chen oddly much, Wang Dong stripped completely before bending over, rummaging under the bed for her school uniform.
Ye Chen, though facing away, couldn't help sensing her form clearly through his spiritual perception.
Every movement, every shift of shape—his mental image filled itself in instinctively.
It took all his willpower not to turn around for a glimpse.
But he held back.
There would be time later. No need to rush.
Rustle, rustle—
Wang Dong quickly found her uniform and slipped it on.
"O-okay, you can turn around now…" she said shyly, her voice barely above a whisper.
Ye Chen turned, only to find her once again disguised in her male form.
Though she still looked good, it was a far cry from her true appearance. After seeing the real her, this version no longer stirred any excitement.
"Hey! What's with that look?!" Wang Dong puffed her cheeks angrily.
That expression made it too obvious!
She thought she still looked perfectly fine in disguise.
"Alright, alright, hurry to class. I've got a match tonight at the Spirit Battle Arena. Come watch, if you'd like."
Ye Chen gave her a casual pat on the rear, gently pushing her toward the door.
"Match? With who? You're not bullying someone again, are you?" Wang Dong asked curiously.
Considering Ye Chen's strength, anyone fighting him was basically doomed. What poor soul had volunteered to be crushed this time?
"You'll find out later." Ye Chen smirked, keeping the mystery alive before walking away first.
"Hmph! So stingy with details…" Wang Dong muttered, scowling—but quickly chased after him.
They walked side by side to the teaching area, parting ways when they reached the junction.
Just before class, Ye Chen took a moment to perform his daily sign-in.
[Sign-in successful. Reward: Constitution +20]
"As expected, lower-tier reward today…" Ye Chen raised a brow, though he wasn't disappointed.
Daily check-ins couldn't always yield treasures. The first few days probably counted as a newbie bonus, giving him the most useful items. Now, rarer rewards would take more time.
The stat boost alone was valuable enough. His already-strong physique instantly felt more energetic.
Constitution enhanced a soul master's resistance—against poison, cold, dizziness, negative effects, and such. In RPG terms, it was pure "tenacity."
It also had… other advantages for male endurance.
Normally, Ye Chen could go at least ten rounds. Now? More than twenty, easily.
...
Arriving at the academy, Ye Chen entered his classroom.
Though officially part of the Inner Court, he still attended Outer Court lessons for fun. The Inner Court classes were boringly repetitive—he simply skipped them.
The only real difference was that Inner Court instructors were stronger, leaning heavily into combat-oriented teaching rather than pure training drills.
As for true improvement, that came from himself—and his "system."
Thinking that, Ye Chen casually popped another Soul Enhancement Pill into his mouth and walked into the room.
"Ye Chen, you're here~!"
"Ye Chen~ I brought you breakfast~!"
Both Wu Feng and Ning Tian waved excitedly as soon as they saw him enter.
"Morning, thanks a lot~"
Ye Chen smiled and sat between them, letting both girls fuss over him.
Wu Feng held a cup of warm milk, and Ning Tian delicately picked up a soft steamed dumpling, feeding him piece by piece.
The scene drew countless jealous stares from the surrounding students.
But none dared voice a single word.
Ye Chen's strength alone commanded respect.
And both Wu Feng and Ning Tian were far from weak themselves.
Last time, a loudmouth student had made a snide remark. Wu Feng had remembered, and during combat class, she'd beaten him so badly that even his underwear had been scorched.
After that incident, no one dared speak up again.
Now everyone just pretended not to see—focusing on their own business while silently enduring the couple's display of "affection."
Ye Chen ate calmly while, under the table, his hands wandered.
Ning Tian, knowing he adored white stockings, made sure to wear them every day. They were soft and cool to the touch—a perfect complement to her gentle demeanor.
Wu Feng didn't wear stockings, but her toned, smooth thighs were warm and pleasantly firm in his palm.
Both girls had long since grown accustomed to such behavior; neither protested. Instead, they leaned in closer, subtly encouraging his roaming touch.
Their faint fragrances mingled in the air—peach blossom and mint—making Ye Chen almost dizzy from their closeness.
"Alright, alright, I'm done eating. You two should move back a bit. People are starting to stare." Ye Chen withdrew his hands awkwardly, coughing as if it were nothing.
"Hmph, who started it first?" Ning Tian whispered, her face pink.
"Bad guy…" Wu Feng muttered softly, mock-angry—but her eyes sparkled with warmth.
"Ahem…" Ye Chen faked another cough. Their intimacy, especially in public, still made him slightly uneasy. Too many witnesses.
"Oh right, Ye Chen," Ning Tian suddenly asked, "is it true you're dueling one of the fifth-year seniors today?"
That match had already become a hot topic among the upper classes.
The news hadn't spread to all freshmen yet—but Ning Tian, as the young lady of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan, had ways of learning things fast through her sect's network within the academy.
"What's wrong? Worried I'll lose?" Ye Chen smirked.
"No, it's just… Senior Beibei is one of the Outer Court's strongest. He's dangerous. I just don't want you to underestimate him," Ning Tian said softly, sticking out her tongue shyly.
"Don't worry, I'll win. And when I do, I'll treat you both tonight. I've got a surprise prepared for you." Ye Chen grinned.
He intended to bring both Ning Tian and Wu Feng into the Tang Sect.
With their reputations, and his invitation—plus the promise of Soul Enhancement Pills as initiation gifts—it would be an easy sell.
Four pills each would be enough to skyrocket their cultivation to level 30.
"A surprise? What kind of surprise?"
Both girls leaned forward eagerly, wide-eyed.
"You'll find out later," Ye Chen said with a mysterious chuckle.
"Hmph, acting all secretive again…"
Ning Tian and Wu Feng exchanged amused glances, both pouting slightly—but inside, they were already curious and excited, eager for whatever Ye Chen had planned for them that night.
