Chapter 28 - Chapter 27 Monster

Gawain was drenched in cold sweat at the thought.

"Gawain, let's move a little closer." Kayal just felt it wasn't close enough. The battle between the two could turn in an instant. Kayal didn't want to miss any opportunity to win people's hearts, but he also didn't want Teresa to perish. He only needed to seize a momentary chance to block a fatal blow for Teresa. As for why Priscilla turned out this way, he could only ask Irene and the other two Claymores who came with her.

The sudden burst of air current almost knocked the three of them over. Her entire body was enveloped in a strange and terrifying purple aura, and then her whole person became even more ferocious.

Teresa murmured to herself, closing her eyes as if resigned, but when she opened them again, her gaze had changed.

Her previous relaxed expression became serious, and her charming silver pupils turned golden like her hair. Her entire aura was actually able to clash with the monstrous Priscilla, and Teresa's aura even gained the upper hand!

"Amazing! She was still hiding her strength when she was dealing with those four people earlier." Atoris could only admire her from the bottom of his heart.

"Concentrate and watch, there's a lot to learn, Atoris, Gawain." Kayal watched the duel between the two without blinking. This hillside presented a parallel plain, and the surrounding stones seemed to have agreed to encircle it, creating space for the two duelists in the middle, so they wouldn't be afraid of not being able to fully display their skills during the duel.

This was a great way to learn. The martial arts of both of them were at the peak for ordinary people, or rather, the peak of unmounted martial arts below that of a knight. This was undoubtedly very much worth learning.

Stones and broken grass flew into the sky with the sword winds of the two, forming a tornado-like aura. Ordinary people dared not enter easily, fearing being caught in their swords and halberds.

"Oh my God, these two massive demonic energies... what can we do against these two monsters? It's hopeless." The short-haired Claymore with golden hair had a look of terror on her face. The more she knew, the more terrifying these two monsters seemed.

The silver-haired Irene, however, showed no change in expression; her face became even more rigid: "The demonic energy from either side is exceptionally strong, but..." Teresa's demonic power was overwhelmingly dominant!

"Over here." Kayal spotted them and waved to them from a distance.

As expected, they came over. Although Kayal had many questions, he still buried them in his heart. Everything could wait until the battle between the two ended.

Although her non-human fighting posture gave her power far superior to Teresa's, Teresa merely defended, as if waiting for the best, one-hit kill opportunity.

"Irene, could it be that she..." The short-haired Claymore with golden hair asked worriedly.

"No! She hasn't crossed the line yet. If we stop her now, she can still return to being human. If we stop her now... she can still return to being human, but... I hope Teresa can stop her." Irene watched with a cold expression as the battle grew more intense. Priscilla, who couldn't even maintain the shape of her hands and was attacking Teresa by whipping her arms like a distant lash, was speaking.

No matter how monstrous Priscilla became, she was still their companion. They didn't want Priscilla to be gone forever.

Suddenly, with incredible grace, Teresa, whose eyes had turned golden, instantly vanished from the attack range.

With a shoulder guard and a deep wound on her shoulder, the monster named Priscilla clearly had a deep, bone-deep wound on her shoulder, and blood gushed out like a spring.

At this moment, Teresa was like a goddess of war; victory was her synonym.

Even with such a severe injury, Priscilla still tried to turn her head to attack Teresa, but Teresa didn't give her this chance. She turned and fiercely blocked the sword, and the immense force even threw Priscilla away.

"Did injuring her shoulder reduce her striking power? What brilliant battle command." Kayal pondered while explaining to Gawain and Atoris. Some things need to be said out loud for people to understand.

Priscilla flew a long distance across the ground, half-sitting and gasping for breath.

"Before you can no longer hear human voices, let me make this clear. By this point, you should understand. Immediately suppress your demonic energy and return to being human. There's still time now. If you truly can't come back, everything will be too late." With her sword pointed at Priscilla, Teresa still didn't aim for a fatal blow.

"Uh, uh, uh uh uh..." Drooling incessantly, Priscilla made incomprehensible sounds and suddenly erupted with even greater power. However, this sudden strike was only blocked by Teresa with one hand. Teresa, with her golden pupils, was as strong as a monster. Now, she was the embodiment of victory, the synonym of invincibility. With a light grunt, she blocked the attack. Teresa, who was about to attack again, was suddenly startled. Priscilla had completely knelt on the ground, her clothes suddenly tearing apart. Compared to the deformation of her face earlier, the deformation of her body now made her resemble a beast even more.

"Wuwuwuwu..." She whimpered in pain, like a wounded beast, and suddenly hugged herself, "I can't go back. I don't want to become a demon. Save me, please..."

"It's no use, becoming a demon is irreversible... there's only one path left, to become a demon." Irene's eyes widened, showing shock for the first time.

"Please, save me, please..." Priscilla pleaded in agony, like someone on the edge of a cliff grasping at a withered blade of grass in a crevice.

"I'm sorry, I can no longer save you." Teresa said silently, "All I can do is cut off your head before you fully become a demon."

Everyone watched this scene with wide eyes, filled only with endless silence and sorrow. One day, they too would become like this, right? The Claymores looked at Priscilla with a sense of shared grief, while Gawain and Atoris were silent due to this stark contrast. They suddenly realized the cruelty of this world, of this society, just like that.

"I understand. Please, kill me." She gently lowered her head, as if resigned, "While I still have a little bit of humanity left."

"I understand. I will ensure you feel no pain whatsoever." Her face was expressionless; even Teresa seemed to see her own future fate.

But one person's face changed, and he cried out loudly, because he noticed a detail: Priscilla's demonic-like large hand subtly shifted towards her sword hilt. In the silence, his voice was incredibly loud, and he flew out with an object: "Watch out for her! Protection!!"

When everyone clearly saw what had happened, they suddenly understood what the object that flew far away was: the hands holding the sword were gone! And the loud, bell-like sound on the scene was Priscilla striking at Teresa's neck, but it was blocked by a semi-circular white shield. The white shield rippled like water, shimmering from the impact, but it was not broken.

"Retreat! Teresa!" Kayal roared. With a fierce wave of his hand, "Reflex!!"

Priscilla was immediately bounced away by her own immense strength.

Taking advantage of this, Teresa retreated rapidly, while Priscilla, who had flipped in the air but did not continue her pursuit, suddenly let out a loud cry. Her entire body suddenly erupted with a ghostly aura, and she roared up at the sky, like a demon from hell.

"Cure!" Pointing at Teresa, the continuously gushing wound automatically wrapped itself up, no longer bleeding. The excruciating pain in her severed wrist also disappeared, gradually replaced by a tingling itch.

"Everyone, come over!" Kayal called out cautiously, watching Priscilla, who was enveloped in purple ghostly energy and roaring up at the sky. Priscilla's transformation was visible to the naked eye; her arms and body became incredibly thick, and from a tumor on her back, two fleshy wings suddenly burst forth. On her forehead, a fleshy horn appeared, completely different from the beautiful, bony horn of the small Unicorn. The twisted fleshy horn appeared very disgusting.

"Irene, what is that?" Kayal looked at the monster in the center of the plain with a heavy expression, urgently needing information.

"That is an Awakened Being, an existence that transcends demons and is completely different from humans!" Irene's face was shocked; she never expected things to turn out this way.

"So hungry for guts!" She slowly stood up, muttering chilling words, and slowly walked towards them.

"Here she comes!" The three Claymores shouted as they took up their stances.

"Don't move!" Kayal jumped off his horse and blocked their path of attack: "Absolutely... don't move!"

Kayal's face had never been so serious. The small Unicorn kept neighing uneasily and stomping its hooves, wanting to leave, but after glancing at Kayal, it didn't move.

Atoris slowly moved behind Kayal with a hint of fear, and Gawain, of course, was even more so. Upholding the spirit of chivalry, he stood in front of Kayal with a grim expression, his sword trembling incessantly, but with no intention of moving aside.

Turning his head, Kayal stared intently: "Don't move... her movements... are faster than before she became a monster!" Don't underestimate her speed just because her body has gotten bigger!
