Chapter 29 - Chapter 28: The Disappearance of Claire

In the ninth year of its life, the Sage tamed a monster capable of devouring the earth, using his own flesh. When the Sage dissipated, the monster began to hungrily devour humans. After consuming 100,000 people, it was slain by the golden-haired Sage's Guard Captain, Lady Teresa.

Kayal watched, sweating profusely, as Priscilla walked closer step by step. It was truly difficult to imagine the fear of facing her until he actually did. Even Irene, the golden-haired Claymore, and the brown-haired Claymore began to get nervous. If they could have charged at her with hot blood a moment ago to gang up on her, now they could only shiver with fear.

Irene's expression was incredibly solemn. She had once faced an Abyss and escaped with her life, but now... but now... this creature was definitely much stronger than an Abyss!

Damn it, her legs were starting to give out.

"Step back, Gawain." The boy suddenly took a deep breath and commanded, calmly and steadily.

"But!" Gawain looked back, calling out anxiously. He might not have known what Yoki was, but he deeply felt the immense power of the opponent, vast as the ocean, as the sky, as an abyss, blocking everyone's path. But... "I am a Knight! Knights never retreat, they guard their ladies, protect their lords. Knights are brave, righteous, just, proud, and honorable!" Gawain shouted, gripping his sword tighter. Even though he felt as if he would be knocked away by the oppressive feeling, his feet, deeply embedded in the mud, refused to move back a single step.

A hand rested on his shoulder.

"You've already done very well, Gawain, truly splendid," the figure stepped past him, standing in front of everyone with ease and composure. Kayal stood calmly at the very front, blocking Priscilla's path: "Leave the rest to me!"

"Haha... I truly have good judgment," Kayal suddenly smiled and murmured to himself: "Everyone I've ever favored has become an extraordinary figure. I occasionally wanted to try raising someone, and they instantly transformed into such a terrifying existence before me... This world is truly incredible."

"So, what do you want, Priscilla?" Kayal took a step forward, smiling at Priscilla, who had transformed into a demon. He was confident, radiant, gentle, like moonlight. At this moment, Kayal was so brilliant.

"Organs. My belly is so hungry, I want to eat organs." Her gaze constantly roamed over Kayal, Atoris, and Gawain. Finally, her eyes settled on Kayal.

"Oh, do you want my flesh?" Kayal smiled and extended his hand.

"Come, good child."

"Submit to me, kneel before me, kiss me, and then I shall bestow my flesh upon you." Kayal gently used a small knife to cut his finger, and a drop of blood slowly dripped down... "Ugh..." Her tongue shot out and caught the blood before it could fall to the ground: "Delicious, so fragrant, so good, ugh ugh..." She kept licking her tongue, like a true human tasting something exquisitely delicious.

"Submit to me! Kneel before me! Kiss me!" At this moment, Kayal shouted like a god descended from heaven.

"Ah ah ah ah ah..." Unexpectedly, Priscilla actually knelt down, gently sucking on Kayal's finger.

"Still want more? You greedy child." Kayal smiled and suddenly cut a piece of flesh from his hand, throwing it far away.

Like a puppy, she immediately flew into the sky, caught the piece of flesh, and then swallowed it instantly, without even waiting to land.

As if greatly satisfied: "Delicious, so delicious, so delicious..." Her eyes constantly scanned Kayal up and down, yet she always inexplicably feared something. One was Kayal, and the other was Teresa.

"Come down." Kayal healed himself, pointing to the ground. The disoriented Priscilla obediently landed, simply acting on her instincts.

"Kay! Are you alright?" Gawain called out.

"No, don't move, just like that." Kayal stroked the Unicorn horn of Priscilla, who was kneeling before him, slowly healing his wound. Powerful healing magic made the granulation tissue gradually fill his arm, which had already shown bone.

"Only one piece a day, okay?" Kayal patted Priscilla's head and smiled. With his other hand, he waved behind him, "You really are a clever child. Now, let's get going." Kayal patted the little Unicorn's neck and smiled.

"No, if she were truly clever, we'd already be in her belly." The golden-haired Claymore looked at the tamed, incredibly docile Unicorn monster, completely devoid of any affection for Priscilla, only endless fear.

"No, she's too clever, it even frightens me." Irene looked at Teresa, who had been silent since just now: "If she were to force it, Kay's defense would give Teresa enough time to Awaken. At such a moment, not Awakening means death, and Teresa would fight with all she has, right? If we look at the Yoki level, an Awakened Teresa would probably be stronger than Priscilla, this super Abyss. In that instant, that child had already thought of all this and made the most correct reaction... The most brilliant part was using his own flesh to tempt her greed... I suppose there's something special about his body, to be able to make all the correct reactions without hesitation and expand his own interests, cutting his flesh without hesitation... Sofia... would you cut your flesh so decisively?"

It turned out the golden-short-haired Claymore was Sofia. She let out an 'ah,' feeling a bit embarrassed: "Of course, if it's during a battle, but for something that seems unrelated..."

That's precisely what surprises me!

Irene frowned, watching Kayal guide Priscilla back to human form, sighing in her heart: Are children nowadays all monsters! To be able to cut the flesh from their own bodies without hesitation! You know, even if it can heal, the cold sensation of the blade slicing through flesh is very real!

"Well, everything is almost ready now." Kayal smiled as he draped his white cloak over the confused Priscilla, who had returned to human form: "Teresa, are your hands alright?"

"Yes, they're completely healed. Because the effect was too good, I'd have to cut off another section to reattach my hands." Teresa said nonchalantly: "My hands and my sword are gone... But it's alright, Clare, you can come out now..." Teresa shouted towards a certain direction. She wasn't afraid of Priscilla, who was shrouded in powerful Yoki. If absolutely necessary, she was willing to Awaken for Clare and kill this Awakened Being that surpassed an Abyss.

But there was no response from that direction.

"Clare...! Clare!!" Teresa lost her composure and shouted, walking towards that direction.

"Let's go take a look together..." Kayal frowned. He still remembered the brown-haired girl who was with Teresa. If something had happened to that girl, it could only mean someone was lurking nearby, and much of his intelligence had already leaked out.

In a certain wilderness, a man wrapped in a cloak was frantically running. In his arms, the man held a brown-haired girl, and in the girl's hands were a pair of broken, armored arms.

"Kaka kaka kaka..." The man ran, laughing wildly: "The flesh and blood of Teresa, the strongest warrior. If implanted into this girl, will it create another strongest warrior...? Kaka kaka... Truly something to look forward to... Red Leaf Ridge... worth paying attention to."
