Chapter 72 - Chapter 36: Annihilation (Part 2)

After Chu Ge and Su Lingyuan left, Luo Huangjun took out an extraordinary communication jade from her storage space.

Engraved upon it was a wildly flowing, dragon-and-phoenix-styled "Luo" character.

After recording her message into it, Luo Huangjun infused it with spiritual power. In the next instant, a streak of light shot out from the communication jade and sped off toward a distant direction.

Its speed was astonishing—faster even than a Great Expert flying at full power. In the blink of an eye, it had already left Taihuang.

Once that was done, Luo Huangjun's figure dissolved into nothingness. Apart from the few Luo Clan members still lying weakly on the ground, not a single person remained at the scene.

Only after a long while did people finally arrive.

They were all elder-level figures of the Taihuang Holy Land.

In truth, they had already sensed the disturbance when the restriction was broken. However, after receiving Luo Huangjun's order, none of them had interfered, choosing instead to watch quietly from the shadows.

Now that the matter was settled, there was no longer any need for them to remain hidden.

"With such a Holy Lord, it truly is our good fortune," Xu Xiuzhu stroked his beard and sighed softly.

"Hmph! These Luo Clan people are truly lawless! They actually dared to set up restrictions within Taihuang and scheme for the Huanglong Seal! If I run into them again next time, I'll definitely give them a couple of slashes!"

Liu Sandao's face was full of fury, his muscles bulging all over as he radiated a fierce aura like that of a primordial savage beast.

"The Luo Clan has lost a Great Expert this time, as well as an Eighth Heaven clan elder. They are unlikely to let this go easily."

Shui Qianrou furrowed her delicate brows and spoke with some concern.

"Hmph! The Luo Clan has gone too far in recent years, treating our Taihuang as if it were their subsidiary! At worst, it's just a war—what is there to fear?!"

A Great Expert spoke up angrily, clearly having harbored resentment toward the Luo Clan for a long time.

"For the time being, be more cautious. It is not yet the moment to completely tear our faces apart."

Though Xu Xiuzhu's voice was not loud, it carried undeniable authority. At once, no one spoke further.

"Send these few Luo Clan juniors away."

He spoke again.

"Got it!" Liu Sandao immediately shouted back, and a large ring-blade gleaming with cold light appeared in his hand.

A ferocious grin spread across his face as he strode toward the trembling Luo Clan members.

"Idiot! I meant send them to the Luo Clan people inside the Holy Land—not for you to slaughter them!"

"You damn butcher!"

Xu Xiuzhu glared at Liu Sandao in exasperation.

How on earth had he ended up taking in such a muscle-headed killing maniac back then?

"Ah? You mean send them away, not send them off?" Liu Sandao scratched his shiny head and grinned foolishly.

"Forget it. I'll go myself."

Xu Xiuzhu shot Liu Sandao another look. He truly couldn't feel at ease.

It wasn't that he was worried Liu Sandao wouldn't listen—it was that he was worried this brute might clash with the Luo Clan people. If his temper flared and he chopped someone down, that would be no small trouble.

With a wave of his sleeve, Xu Xiuzhu swept up the few terrified Luo Clan members and flew off through the air.

"The old man really doesn't trust me, huh… sigh. I actually do a decent job when I handle things."

Liu Sandao complained a little.

The moment he said this, the looks everyone gave him instantly turned strange.

You do a decent job?

When they recalled this fellow's record of carrying out Holy Land missions back when he was still a disciple—

Several of them couldn't help but twitch at the corners of their eyes.

Out of ten missions, this guy failed nine times!

And the only successful one had been a hunting mission.

Before becoming a Great Expert and being promoted to elder, this guy was either fighting and hacking people—or on the way to fighting and hacking people.

Calling him muscle-brained… was truly not wrong at all.
