Austin's POV
Life became harder than Lara and I anticipated it would be. The demanding schedule weighs on us both, especially with Lara carrying our child. Alpha Irina has been amazing, adjusting our coursework so we wouldn't fall behind. The burden falls heaviest on Lara though. Her body transformed over these past months, and even when the morning sickness finally stopped, exhaustion still drags at her constantly.
Being unable to participate in combat training turned into an unexpected advantage for Lara. She spends those hours learning pack administration alongside my father while I push myself relentlessly in sparring sessions, fighting for my spot on the C-Squad. What she absorbs during those sessions amazes me. I see her growing understanding when we discuss our days each evening, and her insights during afternoon lectures often surpass mine. She grasps how these lessons could reshape an entire pack in ways I never considered.
