Freya's POV
Nausea churns in my stomach like a violent storm. The thought of breakfast made my throat close up, and during warrior training, Alpha Joseph's sharp eyes caught my distracted movements. He pulled me aside with concern etched across his weathered face.
"Freya, the entire pack stands with you today. You will not face this alone. I want you to ride with my family instead of waiting for Lara and Austin. When you step out of that car, you need to be surrounded by pack strength from the very first moment."
My voice comes out smaller than intended. "Okay."
As we prepare to leave, Isabella approaches and captures my trembling hands in her warm grip. "Fear is natural. When I faced the council, terror nearly consumed me. But having trusted allies beside you changes everything. Austin and Lara will stand as your shield, and we will be your sword."
The simple word "thank you" feels inadequate for the comfort she offers.
