Lara's POV
I turn my attention toward Austin, feeling the weight of our earlier conversation settling between us. "We haven't had the chance to discuss this properly, but I've been thinking about that second payment. What if we set it aside as an inheritance fund for our future children? The returns from our other investments could support the pack instead."
Austin's eyes light up with that familiar mischievous spark. "Now that's brilliant thinking. We're looking at another twenty-five million once you're carrying my pup, which means we could have twenty-five children and each one gets a million when they reach maturity." His grin spreads wider as he speaks.
Joseph lets out a sharp snort while Dorothy mutters something under her breath about Austin inheriting his father's passionate nature.
"Perhaps we should aim for something slightly more realistic, like twelve children," I counter, unable to suppress my laughter at his enthusiasm.
