Chapter 29 - Chapter 29 : Raizen came looking for you last time. He may contact you again·

About two minutes later, light footsteps were heard outside.

Atsui's voice called out:

"Big sister?"

Samui immediately lifted her head, hiding all emotions, and faced her innocent little brother.

Atsui looked confused—just a moment ago, the "customer" had left, yet his sister remained upstairs.

Tired?

Samui knelt down, stroking his golden hair, her gaze soft but tinged with bitterness.

For the sake of her brother's future, it was all worthwhile.

Her only family… her brother.

"Perhaps I can fuse Lightning Release into genjutsu," Raizen thought suddenly.

The famous Shunshin Shisui did this with his Illusory Body Flash, integrating Sharingan genjutsu into his teleportation.

Raizen could try something similar.

The Uchiha name carried too much weight.

Ninja across the world had learned a rule:

never make eye contact with the Sharingan.

Using genjutsu through other means could give him the element of surprise.

"I should go find Samui now."

Raizen stored the scroll in his bag and continued walking.

He lacked offensive techniques.

Currently, he knew:

Transformation Technique

Lightning Release: Lightning Finger

Lightning Release: Iron Chunk

All were auxiliary.

Iron Chunk mainly strengthened the body for rapid development.

Lightning Finger was still a beginner technique, barely usable, and even improving proficiency wouldn't increase its power much.

It was probably originally intended for medical purposes, capable of releasing minor electric currents to paralyze.

Sushi Shop.

"…Samui, why is Atsui here too? He's so young!"

In the shop's back room, Samui frowned at her brother, roughly the same age as Raizen.

Being a spy was extremely dangerous.

One wrong move could get them both killed.

"The Third Raikage values Raizen highly. We can't mess this up. The village worked hard to verify Atsui's identity.

He will enroll in the Ninja Academy for undercover operations."

A gruff voice came from Samodo, his thick dreadlocks framing him.

He studied the siblings carefully.

Infiltration requires significant energy.

Yet the village sent someone else too.

Raizen's value must have risen again.

Samodo scanned the room.

Besides Samui and the new Atsui, several others dressed as shop staff were Kumogakure spies.

Outside, more comrades guarded the area.

They appeared to maintain the shop's daily operations, but secretly collected intelligence on Konoha.

Samodo oversaw this group.

---

"Sis, I volunteered. It's for the village," Atsui said, his tone serious.

He tossed his golden hair, looking childlike, but his left shoulder bore a red "Heat" tattoo.

"Besides, I want to do something for you," he added.

His sister was cold and calm, ideal for espionage.

But infiltration was far too dangerous.

Raizen, being a distant nephew of the Second Raikage, made a successful mission a huge achievement.

Then his sister wouldn't need to risk herself anymore.

Samui stayed silent, sighing—touched, yet troubled.

Her little brother was so young, and yet already assigned?

---

"He's Uchiha, a distant nephew of the previous Raikage. You should understand his value," Samodo said solemnly.

"Raizen came looking for you last time. He may contact you again—you need to win him over."

Handling this successfully would bring credit to all.

No need to sneak deep into enemy lines or lose sleep.

"Yes," Samui nodded.

Samodo gave final encouragement and briefed Atsui on school enrollment before letting everyone return to work.

Samui returned to the sushi shop, idly wiping tables, her thoughts unsettled after seeing her brother.

It wasn't dislike—it was worry.

"Do you still have squid sushi?" she asked subconsciously, raising her head.

Raizen was standing there.

A stronger unease surged in her chest.

Suppressing it, she looked around—few customers were present—and whispered:

"What do you want now?"

Samui didn't think Raizen would willingly return to Kumogakure. Probably here to freeload again.

"Some more scrolls. Preferably sword techniques," Raizen said, extending his hand.

"Do you think these are just weeds you can pick up?"

Samui was frustrated by his entitlement.

Samodo had told her to win Raizen over—but his behavior now was… infuriating.

He had been given two Lightning Release scrolls recently, and now wanted more.

Most scrolls available for purchase were low-grade, even misleading.

High-quality techniques were usually clan-inherited or taught by a master.

"I know that," Raizen said calmly, preparing a reason.

Suddenly, he noticed a man behind Samui—same hair, eyes, and a tattoo on the left shoulder.

His prepared explanation quietly changed.

Luck was on his side.

"This must be your brother, Samui."

A smile curved Raizen's lips.

Samui's emerald eyes widened.

Her brother, disguised as staff, revealed his Heat tattoo on the arm, rolling up his sleeves.

Samui's brow furrowed tightly.

Now it's bad.

Only the companions in the secret room knew about Atsui's presence.

The guards outside were unaware.

Per Samodo's instructions, they wouldn't be on alert upon seeing Raizen.

However, Raizen had already discovered the little brother meant to be quietly sent to the Ninja Academy.
