Akane shrugged. She wasn't particularly interested in Raizen's physical prowess. She was more curious about his aptitude in genjutsu.
Her father often said that Uchiha clan ninjas excelled in genjutsu, and anyone who awakened the Sharingan became a master.
Akane didn't entirely agree. In her mind, her father had reached his level through lifelong effort.
No random Sharingan could surpass that.
Among their grade, Raizen was the only one to awaken the Sharingan.
It had even caught Tsunade's attention, prompting her to check him personally.
Raizen sensed someone looking at him and glanced over.
It was Akane.
He wondered why she was staring but quickly returned his focus to his interface panel.

"One class and I've already unlocked a new entry," Raizen thought.
He closed the panel. His legs felt like molten energy coursing through every cell, muscles firmer than before.
Using kicking techniques in taijutsu would now gain additional benefits.
"I wonder if climbing, throwing ninja tools, or other exercises could trigger new entries."
"Raizen, are you contemplating the meaning of youth?"
Might Guy asked, spotting a fellow enthusiast.
Raizen said nothing.
Ten minutes later, after most students had rested, Instructor Umino announced the results.
"Might Guy first, Kakashi second…"
Raizen was sixth overall.
He didn't show any expression. Considering he had just started training, reaching sixth place already highlighted his talent.
Other students had been training each semester, yet Raizen had surpassed them.
No wonder Tsunade had said he was suited for taijutsu.
"Everyone, prepare for next week's paired exercises. Here's the list."
Umino read out the pairs. With Raizen joining as a transfer student, the originally even class now had one extra student.
Umino paused, then noticed Obito walking toward Rin.
"Obito, you'll pair with Raizen next week. The pairings rotate weekly."
Obito froze.
This was his chance to impress Rin. If he defeated Raizen, he could prove last time was just luck.
"I understand, Instructor Umino!"
"Good," Umino nodded.
Obito's grades weren't outstanding, but he was diligent. Pairing him with Raizen would help the transfer student adapt.
"Class dismissed."
After school, Raizen approached Rin to continue his chakra control training.
Kakashi and Obito were also present.
As yesterday, Raizen practiced diligently.
Today, he climbed a taller tree, requiring finer chakra control.
At dusk, Raizen was the first to leave.
"Raizen, leaving so early?"
"I've been in Konoha for a month and want to see what kind of food they have here."
"I see," Rin nodded.
Some street vendors had surprisingly good food. Rin recalled a girl named Mitarai Akari who often bought sweet red bean soup with dumplings.
Raizen didn't go straight home. He wandered through Konoha streets, eventually entering a regular sushi shop casually.
Before he could speak, a staff member approached.
"You're here to try our new squid sushi, right?"
The woman had short blond hair. Her apron barely covered the wide chest, revealing a gray shirt underneath.
Samui.
Raizen remembered her vividly. She was one of the few from the original story who could rival Tsunade.
Nothing else....just impressive presence.
After a brief pause, Raizen returned his attention to the panel, frowning slightly.
Samui looked slightly older than expected, not matching the original timeline.
Could his arrival have caused some butterfly effect?
"I'm here for the squid sushi," Raizen said, following her lead.
Being from the Land of Lightning, Samui was likely sent by her higher-ups. She probably recognized him.
"You're the first to try this new dish. Please follow me," Samui said, leading him further inside.
"This is a newly researched dish. The freshest squid is required, and the customer chooses it personally."
They reached a room with many glass fish tanks. Water bubbled from the filtration pipes.
Samui pressed her hand against the wall.
Black sealing marks appeared, and a hidden passage opened before Raizen.
Inside, a man with dreadlocks turned around, drawing attention.
"Yazuki Raizen, pleased to meet you. I'm Samodo."
"Yazuki is an old surname. I'm Uchiha," Raizen corrected calmly.
Samodo's hairstyle was normal in Konoha. During outdoor lessons, Iruka had once shown students such styles.
Even Hiruzen had explained the Will of Fire during inspections.
Dreadlocks were not unusual.
