Chapter 62 - Chapter 62: Bi Bidong's Martial Soul Evolution!

The two arrived behind the hall. Bi Bidong gazed at Su Yu, her brows slightly furrowed. Her lips moved as if to speak, but she swallowed her words, a hint of hesitation in her expression.

"Teacher? What's wrong?"

Su Yu noticed her unusual demeanor and asked with concern.

Bi Bidong raised her hand and gently stroked Su Yu's head, her fingertips carrying a warm touch.

After a moment of silence, she forced a faint smile, her tone laced with a barely perceptible worry:

"It's nothing."

"It's just... when I release my Martial Soul later, it might be a bit frightening."

"Xiao Yu, why don't you wait outside for me?"

Her Twin Spirits were both spiders—the Death Spider Emperor and the Soul-Devouring Spider Emperor!

Although her Twin Spirits were incredibly powerful, they were also extremely grotesque in appearance!

Su Yu, however, shook his head, his eyes resolute. "Teacher, I'm not afraid."

"I'll stay here with you. If anything unexpected happens, I can help you in time!"

Seeing Su Yu's determination, Bi Bidong let out a soft sigh and patted his head again.

"Alright!"

She said no more, turning to sit cross-legged on a nearby soft cushion, slowly closing her eyes.

Moments later, the Soul Power within her body began to surge violently, and a vast wave of energy spread out from her as the center.

Soon after, two massive Martial Soul phantoms gradually took shape behind her.

The Death Spider Emperor's dark purple carapace gleamed with an oily sheen under the dim light of the hall.

Its three pairs of crimson compound eyes, like congealed drops of blood, stared fixedly at Su Yu ahead, exuding a fierce and malevolent aura.

Eight thick spider legs splayed outward, the fine hairs on their segments trembling slightly with the air currents.

Each leg resembled a poison-tipped steel needle, and an invisible pressure weighed down like a massive boulder, making it almost difficult to breathe.

Beside it, the Soul-Devouring Spider Emperor presented a different sight—its body pitch black as if it could devour all surrounding light.

Two pairs of green eyes glowed eerily in the darkness, a color utterly unnatural to any living being, carrying a spine-chilling eeriness.

Tendrils of green mist coiled around its form, appearing soft yet emitting a bone-piercing chill, as if even the air would freeze and corrode.

Compared to the Death Spider Emperor, its spider legs were more slender but conveyed a supple ferocity, as if they could lash out at any moment to deliver a fatal strike to prey.

The temperature in the hall plummeted abruptly, that icy aura rising like a tidal wave.

The candle flames in the corner, caught in this aura, flickered violently.

The fluctuating light cast the two enormous spider-like Martial Souls in an even more terrifying visage.

Bi Bidong slowly opened her eyes, her gaze settling on Su Yu.

She had seen too many people react with fear upon witnessing her Martial Souls—some turning pale, others stepping back in shock, and still others averting their eyes.

The ugliness and ferocity of these two Martial Souls were not something ordinary people could face calmly.

Her heart sank slightly, already prepared to see Su Yu panic in terror.

Contrary to Bi Bidong's expectations, Su Yu's expression showed almost no fluctuation.

He neither retreated nor frowned, merely watching her Martial Souls quietly, his eyes even holding a trace of seriousness.

Bi Bidong couldn't help but pause in surprise, instinctively asking:

"Xiao Yu, don't you think... Teacher's Martial Souls are terrifying?"

Su Yu, upon hearing this, first shook his head, then spoke with unconcealed admiration:

"Terrifying? Not really! I actually think your Martial Soul is exceptionally majestic!"

He pointed at the Death Spider Emperor's glossy carapace and powerful spider legs:

"Look at this Death Spider Emperor—just standing there, it exudes an intimidating presence, clearly brimming with strength."

"And this Soul-Devouring Spider Emperor, though it appears cold and sinister, that invisible pressure is simply incredible!"

Bi Bidong froze, a flicker of disbelief passing through her purple eyes, followed by an indescribable complexity of emotions.

"Teacher, quickly consume that Immortal Herb!"

"Alright."

Bi Bidong responded without further hesitation.

She opened the jade box and retrieved the Yin Yang Twin Birth Herb, its black and white hues intricately intertwined.

The herb still carried a faint coolness from being sealed in the jade box, the contrasting colors shimmering with an eerie luster under the dim light.

Tilting her head back slightly, she parted her pink lips and placed the entire herb into her mouth.

Without much chewing, the herb transformed into a refreshing liquid that slid down her throat, instantly surging into her body.

Almost the moment the herb entered her stomach, two distinctly different forces erupted within her meridians.

One was piercingly cold, carrying pure Yin energy;

The other blazed like wildfire, bearing intense Yang energy.

The two forces surged along her meridians, swiftly converging toward the two Martial Soul phantoms behind her.

Bi Bidong closed her eyes, focusing intently to guide these two forces, fine beads of sweat forming on her forehead.

The Death Spider Emperor Martial Soul behind Bi Bidong was the first to evolve.

Its eight thick spider legs abruptly tightened, merging layer by layer like sheathed blades, condensing into a two-meter-long black rod.

The rod gleamed with a cold, metallic sheen, as if tempered by ten-thousand-year ice, every inch radiating intimidating pressure.

The intricate web-like patterns on the original carapace suddenly glowed with a faint blue light, like living star tracks meandering across the rod's surface.

Following the seams of the merged spider legs, the icy blue and profound black intertwined into eerie patterns.

The Death Spider Emperor's torso rapidly shrank within the light, eventually reducing to the size of a basin, firmly embedded at the top of the rod formed by the spider legs.

Immediately after, three pairs of originally blood-red compound eyes contracted sharply, firmly set into the basin-sized torso atop the rod.

Simultaneously, the green mist surrounding the Soul-Devouring Spider Emperor thickened abruptly, churning like boiling ink.

At the peak of the mist's density, a crimson fissure suddenly split open on the arched back of the Soul-Devouring Spider Emperor.

Two pale arms thrust out from the fissure, their fingers slender, nails tinged with a faint pink.

Then, those hands tore forcefully—with a "rip," the fissure was completely torn open, revealing the figure concealed within.

A pale figure emerged from the fissure on the Soul-Devouring Spider Emperor's back.

The figure lightly tapped the Soul-Devouring Spider Emperor's body beneath it.

The moment the fingertip made contact, the Soul-Devouring Spider Emperor's body was incinerated by an invisible flame into streams of dark green light.

The dark green light flowed slowly over the figure's skin, like molten dark jade.

The dark green light swept past the neck, covered the shoulders, traced a sharp curve at the waist, and finally solidified into a form-fitting suit of battle armor.

The shoulder guards of the armor were shaped like spider pincers, their edges gleaming with a cold metallic sheen.

From his back extended eight slender, spider-leg-like armor plates, appearing both decorative and weapon-like as they trembled slightly.

It was at this moment that the green mist surrounding the figure dissipated, revealing a pair of emerald-green eyes to Su Yu.
