"Get away from her," Gideon repeated, stepping fully into the infirmary. His eyes were locked on Darius with barely contained hostility.
Darius stood slowly, putting himself between Gideon and my bed. "I'm not going anywhere."
"She collapsed because of you." Gideon's voice was cold. "Because you lost control like a feral wolf and sent so much energy through the bond that her body couldn't handle it."
"I know what I did."
"Do you? Because from where I'm standing, it looks like you're still putting her in danger just by being here."
My wolf stirred uneasily. The tension in the room was suffocating, two Alpha energies pressing against each other, neither one willing to back down.
"Both of you need to calm down," I said, but my voice came out weaker than I'd intended.
They ignored me.
