Love didn't arrive gently.
It arrived with questions.
Aira noticed them the moment things settled into something real.
Not dramatic fears.
Practical ones.
What if this changes us?
What if I lose my balance again?
What if loving him means risking everything I just rebuilt?
She didn't panic.
But she didn't ignore it either.
They were walking together after class, the campus unusually loud around them, when Aira slowed her steps.
"Can I ask you something without it sounding like I'm backing out?" she said.
Reyhan stopped immediately.
"You can ask me anything," he replied.
"Especially that."
She exhaled.
"Does it ever scare you," she asked,
"how real this is now?"
Reyhan smiled faintly.
"Yes," he admitted.
"More than when we were almost."
That honesty mattered.
"I don't want to pull away just because it's scary," Aira said.
"But I don't want to ignore the fear either."
Reyhan thought for a moment.
"I think fear just means the stakes are real," he said.
"It doesn't mean we're wrong."
She nodded slowly.
"I don't want to run," she said quietly.
"I just want to be sure I'm choosing this—not reacting to it."
Reyhan met her eyes.
"You're allowed to take this at your own pace," he said.
"And I'm not going anywhere just because you need time."
Aira felt her chest loosen.
"That helps," she admitted.
They stood there for a moment, the noise around them fading.
"You're not trapped," Reyhan added softly.
"And neither am I."
That was important.
They walked again, steps aligned.
Love hadn't scared her away.
It had asked her to stay conscious.
And she was choosing to.
RULE #77: Don't let love scare you away.
Because fear doesn't mean stop—
it means choose with awareness.
