Chapter 75 - Rule No. 76: Don’t Doubt What You Feel

The day after the confession didn't feel magical.

It felt… normal.

And that unsettled Aira more than fireworks ever could.

She woke up expecting something to be different—

her thoughts louder,

her heart racing,

the world slightly brighter.

Instead, everything felt steady.

Grounded.

She saw Reyhan at school the same way she always had.

He smiled when he noticed her.

Waited when she slowed.

Didn't rush toward her like something had changed overnight.

That mattered.

They sat together during lunch, closer than before—but not clinging.

"So," Sia whispered dramatically,

"are we acknowledging what happened or pretending it was a collective hallucination?"

Aira laughed softly.

"We're… letting it breathe."

Reyhan nodded.

"Exactly that."

Later, while walking toward class, Aira said quietly,

"I thought I'd feel different today."

Reyhan glanced at her.

"Bad different or confusing different?"

"Neither," she replied.

"Just calm."

He smiled faintly.

"That's not doubt," he said.

"That's security."

Aira considered that.

She'd spent so long equating love with intensity that calm felt suspicious.

"I don't want to overthink it," she said.

"But part of me wonders if I should feel more."

Reyhan stopped walking.

Turned to her fully.

"You don't need to perform love," he said gently.

"You don't need to feel it loudly for it to be real."

That settled something deep in her chest.

"I trust what I feel," Aira said slowly.

"Even when it's quiet."

Reyhan nodded.

"And I trust that it'll grow without pressure."

They continued walking.

No declarations.

No expectations.

Just two people learning how to stand in something new without doubting it.

That night, Aira opened her notebook.

She didn't write a rule.

She smiled and closed it again.

Because some feelings didn't need explanation.

They just needed belief.

RULE #76: Don't doubt what you feel.

Because calm doesn't mean less—

it means safe.
