Everyone at the chamber looked at Silas like he was crazy. They saw no point in this trial. It was obvious that Silas was mentally on stable. He didn't need to be in a court room he needed to be in t h hospital. How did someone like this get into the pack? How was a mentally ill patient allowed in?
Elian stood straighter behind the elevated platform. His expression was composed, but there was no softness left in it now. There was no reason for this to go on. He had followed every protocol listening to whatever Silas had to say and it was obvious that he shouldn't have. Maybe he should have listened to Jamie's grandfather and skip the trial.
"This line of questioning is no longer productive," Elian said calmly. "We will proceed to the verdict. However, before doing so, I must state for the record that, Mr. Brooks, the Chamber strongly recommends mandatory psychological evaluation and treatment."
