Chapter 192 - Chapter 579: The Framed Groudon

Afraid that Axel would repeat the same trick, the little Groudon did not intend to shape the Precipice Blade he condensed this time into a solid object.

After the energies gathered into the shape of a sword, they carried wildly unstable destructive force and fell from the sky, slashing toward Axel's position.

Just as Gardevoir was about to make a move, Axel gently patted her arm, stepped forward, and swung the Precipice Blade that Groudon had just condensed, grinning.

"Relax, this guy's level isn't high. Let me give it a try too."

As he finished speaking, Axel swung both arms. The Precipice Blade he had been dragging along the ground was hoisted high, drawing terrifying Ground-type power into a semicircle through the air before crashing straight into the newly unleashed Precipice Blade from Groudon.

Boom!

With a deafening explosion, the instant the two Precipice Blades collided, massive sparks burst out at the point of impact. Immediately after, Ground-type energy detonated, the entire stone chamber shaking violently as the floor and walls cracked inch by inch.

The rumbling sonic booms kept erupting, almost blending together. Even though Bonfire and Lillie, whose physical toughness was only that of ordinary humans, were protected by Gardevoir's Protect, they still clutched their ears in terror, afraid their eardrums would be blown out.

When the dust finally settled, the Precipice Blade in Axel's hands was completely intact. The one newly condensed by Groudon had long since vanished, leaving only a narrow sword-shaped mound of earth on the ground.

Even Groudon himself had been slammed into the floor by that strike, unable to stand back up.

Seeing this result, both Groudon and Bonfire were instantly dumbfounded.

'What the hell, who is the real Groudon here?'

After coming to his senses, Groudon dug his claws into the ground and fled from Axel and Pheromosa, charging toward the indigo-colored orb.

Right now, he felt that even digging an escape tunnel would be difficult. He desperately needed someone to take the fall with him.

And the indigo-colored orb, which could also temporarily transform into Kyogre, was the best choice.

As for whether the indigo-colored orb could beat this terrifying upright ape, that was completely outside Groudon's considerations.

Light flickered on his forehead as several stones condensed in front of him, precisely striking the pillar that held the indigo-colored orb.

But in the next moment, Groudon saw Axel perform an operation that made it hard to breathe.

The indigo-colored orb had barely begun its imitation transformation. Just as water started pouring out all over it, Axel raised the Precipice Blade and slammed it down with a fierce strike, nearly smashing the orb's flowing water apart.

Seeing this, Groudon was so shocked he couldn't even close his mouth, staring blankly at Axel and suddenly feeling that this guy was definitely not a purebred human.

If he hadn't been unable to beat Axel, he really would have wanted to curse him for not acting human at all, not even giving the indigo-colored orb a chance to transform.

But very soon, an even more suffocating move followed.

Groudon had only spaced out for a moment when he saw Axel jog right up to him and shove the hilt of the Precipice Blade straight into his mouth.

After being attacked, the indigo-colored orb's water surged even faster, quickly condensing into a solid form.

Also a little over one meter tall, whale-like in shape, with two enormous pectoral fins, its body a deep blue.

It was a perfect miniature version of Kyogre.

The moment it appeared, Kyogre floated up into midair. After briefly sensing the wound on its body, its crimson eyes glared viciously at the little Groudon.

"ROAR!"

'Crimson Orb, you're shameless!'

Little Groudon: "???"

'Not me, I swear! I swear!'

Groudon really wanted to say, don't believe me, ask the Pokémon around us. But after looking all around, he didn't find a single living being outside Axel's side.

So his voice grew weaker and weaker, sounding utterly lacking in confidence.

"Roar?", Kyogre let out a cold, almost humanlike laugh.

'You're saying that if I don't believe you, I should ask the Pokémon next to us, right?'

'Fine, then I'll ask!'

Axel, who had been eating popcorn on the sidelines, decisively spoke up, "No need to ask. He did it."

Groudon: "???"

'Didn't you say you couldn't understand Pokémon language?'

Groudon was so furious at Axel that his whole body trembled, a chill running through him as he felt the flames in his chest about to freeze into volcanic rock.

"Roar!"

'I'll fight you to the death!'

Groudon clamped the Precipice Blade in his mouth and charged at Axel like a rabid dog.

Axel pointed his right index finger at Groudon and grinned as he watched him.

"See? He's panicking!"

The moment his words fell, Kyogre entered a battle stance, and a light drizzle suddenly began to fall inside the stone chamber.

In this kind of environment, Kyogre was like a fish in water. Both its agility and the power of its moves were fully enhanced.

A phantom waterfall took shape, stretching between Kyogre and Groudon.

Kyogre let out a wail that sounded as if it came from ancient times. The surrounding water droplets instantly seemed to gain life, gathering onto the phantom waterfall and carrying Kyogre's body straight toward Groudon.

The move Waterfall.

Normally speaking, this move's power wasn't particularly high. Only some ferocious Pokémon, like Gyarados and the like, would use it, relying on bodily pressure to make the opponent flinch.

But the Waterfall used by Kyogre was completely different.

Even though it wasn't Kyogre's true body, the indigo-colored orb, which was inextricably linked to the god of the sea, could still command the power of water.

Carried by the waterfall formed from those droplets, the little Kyogre's speed skyrocketed. Before Groudon could even reach Axel, it slammed headfirst into the little Groudon's waist.

After taking this hit, the little Groudon, who should have been furious, suddenly let out a sigh and collapsed in the corner by the wall, too lazy to get back up.

He brought his hands together, raised them toward Axel, his face full of utter resignation.

What else could he do?

He thought he was releasing a teammate. Who could have imagined that what he released was an idiot.

"You're not running anymore?", Axel wasn't worried about Groudon suddenly lashing out. Smiling, he squatted down beside him, planning to study how this guy could be turned back into the crimson orb again.

Groudon's mouth twitched. He couldn't be bothered to deal with Axel. The flames on his body withdrew, and before long he returned to the original crimson orb form.

He was afraid that if he said even one more word to Axel, he'd explode on the spot.

'Forget it, there's no way to fight him. Better let Groudon's true body handle it.'

If it really couldn't win, then even following this guy wouldn't be so bad. At least he could beat up Kyogre every day?

Off to the side, the chubby fish stared blankly as the crimson orb reverted to its original form and automatically floated into Axel's hand, instantly stunned.

Both of their orbs were parts of their original bodies in the Primal Reversion state.

The indigo-colored orb remembered very clearly that Primal Kyogre's task for him was to find a weaker human, then control that human to go to the Seafloor Cavern and release Kyogre.

That goal was actually very hard to achieve. If the human was too weak, they wouldn't even be able to reach the Seafloor Cavern, let alone release Groudon and Kyogre.

If the human was too strong, they would break free of control, which would also cause serious trouble.

That was exactly why the two orbs had stayed at Mt. Ember for so long.

'Could it be that this person has already passed the Crimson Orb's test, proving that he can be easily controlled while also being capable of releasing the true body?'

'Damn it, no wonder that Crimson Orb bastard attacked me right away. He was trying to knock me senseless and steal a march!'

'I, the dignified Indigo Orb, have seen through your plan completely!'
