Chapter 191 - Chapter 578: Precipice Blade!

'What the hell is a steam explosion?'

'You might as well not explain at all. What world did that explanation just send me to?'

'Since when did the Pokémon world have this kind of thing?'

After hearing Axel's explanation, the little Groudon that the bead had transformed into looked even more confused than before.

Seeing Groudon react like this, a calculating smile flashed through Pheromosa's pale purple eyes as she closed in again, still choosing close combat.

So what if Groudon can control flames?

In close combat, Pheromosa was confident she was not weaker than any opponent.

Even if that opponent could transform into a god.

Pheromosa instantly appeared above Groudon. Her speed was already terrifying, and after stacking another use of Agility, every movement of hers was like an afterimage.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The sounds of punches and kicks blended together, and Groudon's body rang out every second like percussion instruments being struck.

Left with no choice, Groudon could only use Protect. A flood of white light burst out, barely blocking Pheromosa's fists.

Groudon viciously opened his mouth and let out a roar. Terrifying flames appeared once more, temporarily forcing Pheromosa back, and he immediately ran toward the pillar where the indigo-colored orb was.

BOOM!

He stomped his right foot into the ground, and the power of the earth instantly filled the entire cavern. The dirt that had just been shattered by the earthquake suddenly floated up, merging with Ground-type elemental energy and gradually forming a massive yellow-brown greatsword.

Seeing that he had successfully used this move, Groudon puffed himself up, gripping the greatsword with both hands and laughing loudly, "Roar! Roar! Roar!"

'Let's see who dares to take my Precipice Blade!'

The moment Axel saw this move, his eyes couldn't help but light up.

Not fear, but excitement.

Among Pokémon fans, who doesn't know Precipice Blade?

That line, "Eat my Precipice Blade," was practically something every Pokémon fan had said before.

He never expected that this Groudon formed from the crimson orb could actually master this move.

He wanted it even more now.

As long as he had this little guy, even if he couldn't get the real old Groudon, it would still fulfill his dream.

Groudon had no idea what Axel was thinking. He only thought Axel had been scared stiff, which was why he was staring at him blankly.

He couldn't help lifting his chin excitedly, planning to teach that tall elf who had been beating him up a lesson, to let her know that not just anyone was worthy of having him.

"Roar!", Groudon spun around, the greatsword in his hands slicing through the air with a terrifying whistling sound. The dense Ground-type power made the sword incredibly heavy, smashing toward Pheromosa like a meteor.

And when facing this strike, a feeling suddenly appeared in Pheromosa's mind that it was impossible to dodge.

As if this sword had already locked onto her.

The only flaw was that the power of this strike was far too terrifying, so much so that even Groudon himself couldn't perfectly control it.

Even if Pheromosa didn't dodge, there was still a decent chance this sword would miss.

This was a common problem with many high-power moves. They were easy to dodge, or difficult to control..

"Yo~?", Pheromosa was a bit annoyed. She didn't want to leave her fate in someone else's hands. Red light gathered in her palm, forming dense, pulsing true energy as she prepared to meet the blow head-on and smash the sword away.

Suddenly, Axel's voice appeared in Pheromosa's mind, making the corners of her mouth lift, and she almost burst out laughing.

"Roar!"

'You still dare to laugh?'

The small Groudon let out an angry roar, unable to understand why this guy in front of him still dared to smile.

He had successfully used Precipice Blade.

Even if its power was less than one-tenth of the real Groudon's, it was still Precipice Blade, the invincible Precipice Blade.

He exerted strength with both arms, and the massive blade immediately slammed toward Pheromosa with overwhelming force.

And Pheromosa, as if she had been scared silly, kept smiling as she looked at the terrifying Precipice Blade.

Groudon could practically already see the beautiful moment of smashing Pheromosa away and making his escape.

He had made up his mind. Once he left this place, he would quickly find a weaker, more worthless human, control them, and hurry back to Groudon's side.

Waiting for some destined person was far too dangerous. What he wanted was someone with average strength, someone he could easily control to serve as the medium to release Groudon.

Not some hulking brute who could control both him and Groudon!

Seeing Precipice Blade get closer and closer to Pheromosa, while she still showed no sign of resisting, the Groudon transformed from the crimson orb grew more and more excited, even feeling like laughing out loud.

What he didn't see was that off to the side, Axel whispered a few words to Gardevoir. Gardevoir's mouth twitched as she handed Axel a pink plate.

The next moment, the little Groudon suddenly felt his hands go light. The Precipice Blade in his grip vanished without him realizing when, reappearing in Gardevoir's hands.

Groudon froze again, magma forming three question marks on his forehead as he stared at Axel in complete shock.

"I kind of like this...", Axel grinned, returning the plate to Gardevoir with one hand while taking the Precipice Blade from her with the other, smiling as he explained.

"This sword of yours is really cool. I want to take a look too. Why are you being so fierce? You wouldn't want your sword to have no one like it, right?"

Earlier, when Axel saw Groudon's Precipice Blade, it didn't look like a move so much as an item. So he had Gardevoir pass him the plate, then used the move Thief.

Sure enough, he successfully took the Precipice Blade that this little Groudon had condensed.

Hearing Axel's few words, Groudon was completely dumbfounded.

"Roar! Roar! Roar!"

'Are you freaking kidding me?"

'If you like it, go make one yourself! Why are you stealing mine?'

'And look at the situation right now. Do you think I can laugh at this?'

Groudon unleashed a whole barrage, venting all the frustration in his heart.

Axel wore a serious expression and listened carefully until Groudon finished yelling, only speaking softly once Groudon stopped making noise.

"What are you saying? Don't you know how to use telepathy? I can't really understand Pokémon language."

Groudon: "..."

'You can't understand?'

'Then why did you look so serious just now?'

Just hearing that made Groudon want to hit someone.

He let out a babyish roar, completely ignoring Pheromosa, this dangerous opponent. After touching the ground again, he couldn't even be bothered to run. Yellow-brown energy gathered around his entire body once more as he charged straight at Axel.

Even if he got captured, even if he was buried here forever and never saw the light of day again, today he was going to make Axel pay a heavy price.

Perhaps because he could touch the ground, the Ground-type energy Groudon gathered this time was even more concentrated. The entire stone chamber glowed with yellow-brown light, like a massive luminous crystal.

That energy crazily surged beneath Groudon, then shot straight up, forming an enormous sword even more terrifying than before.

"ROAR!", Groudon's dark-golden eyes locked onto Axel, his teeth bared menacingly.

So what if Pokémon are strong?

Strong Pokémon doesn't mean the trainer is strong. It doesn't mean the trainer gets to bully people like this.

Eat my one-time-use, overwhelmingly powerful Precipice Blade.
