The elevator doors chimed softly, a stark contrast to the smell of sulfur and grease of the machinery on Floor 3.
Reed stepped out into the humidity of Floor 2, The Abyssal Spa. He felt heavy. The encounter with the Dryad had drained his Void Mana reserves dangerously low, leaving him with that hollow, scraped-out feeling in his chest. His [Overlord Mode] was a powerful drug, but the crash was brutal.
The spa was quieting down. It was late. Most of the "Tier 1" guests had stumbled back to their carriages or passed out in the VIP suites upstairs. The air smelled of eucalyptus, sulfur, and expensive wine.
