Still in the house, Egon and Charlotte Heard a car pulling up outside. They quickly took position on either sides of the haul doors with their rifles raised and ready.
Footsteps approached slowly. Enemies were close.
The first man entered. Charlotte hesitated. Egon didn't. He fired. A single shot broke through the door and into the intruder's skull. A clean hit. The body dropped hard, making a loud noise.
In less than a second, Egon threw a smoke grenade to the outside. Then a frag. The smoke spread through the air, inside and outside. In the smoke, the suits automatically switched to x-ray vision. Now, they can move with clarity.
They stepped out. Two intruders already lay on the ground, The frag got them. Two more were disoriented but armed. They were trying to stand. Egon dropped The first. A shot to the heart and a second to the head.
The other fired blindly in Egon's direction. Charlotte took him with a shot to the chest. The man fell. Yet, in a final act, he raised his rifle towards Charlotte. Egon finished him before he could fire. Another headshot.
Egon caught Faint pulses from the two knocked by the grenades. Two shots later, he made sure they won't get up.
They turned off x-ray vision and stepped outside. They moved cautiously, scanning their surroundings for any remaining threats.
A car parked outside. Two more enemies, crouched behind the car aiming at them.
Egon took the first one before he could shoot. However, the second's shot hit his left shoulder. The impact took him off balance. But he managed to focus. He steadied his rifle and shot the second enemy. But it wasn't precise. She fell to the ground, with half her brain spread on the floor. Left to die slowly.

A warning signal came from the suit: Breach, contamination risk.
He and Charlotte quickly left the scene. I would be risky to return to the water station, someone could be following them. So, They went back to a secure house, where they can tend to Egon's injury.
