At around 9 PM of day 205, In the kastner's truck, Monica asked about her father's time in the city.
"It wasn't pleasant," He said, "You made the wrong decision. We should've stayed inside."
"I heard you went to uncle's villa." she asked, "Did you... Did you find anything?".
"No." he replied. "Nothing important."
"So you found no traces of them leaving?" she pressed. "No signs of where they might have gone?"
"No." he said flatly. "Stop asking about it."
She sensed her father hiding something. "Are you sure? I mean, uncle always had a plan B."
Her father's anger let out. He snapped at her. "Quit it about your uncle. If you loved him so much, why didn't you just stay with him? I'm sure he would have loved it."
Monica recoiled. "Stop it. Stop saying that about him. He was a great man, a successful man, better than anything you ever dreamed to be."
She hit him. But her father's words were bitter. "Do you know why we adopted you, Monica? I'll tell you why. It's because she lost her baby."
Monica was stunned into silence.
He continued. "'Oh, I'm heartbroken. Oh, I can't bear it.' she said. Had I known that baby wasn't mine, you wouldn't have seen me a day in your life.
Tears welled in her eyes. After a moment, her words choked out. "Your lies have never deceived me and never will." She turned her back to him and let her tears flowing freely.
A moment passed. Her father Regained his composure. "Your mom is dead," he said quietly. "I found her Dead, chained to a metal pipe. She died as she lived — a cheap W**re."
With those final words, he left Monica sobbing through her pillow until sleep took her.
