Chapter 135 - Chapter 135

Doflamingo's face instantly turned extremely ugly. His mood at that moment was like falling from heaven to hell. Looking at El's smiling face, he recalled that he hadn't let Violet leave his side for a moment, so she'd had no chance to betray him.

Behind him, the members of the Donquixote Family grew tense, ready to fight at any moment.

"As expected of a major player in the New World, you are really well-informed."

El admiringly confirmed Doflamingo's guess.

"What is your real purpose for stopping next to Dressrosa?"

Seeing that his conspiracy had been seen through—that even Violet and Sugar's abilities, and possibly more intelligence, were known to him—Doflamingo suspected the one before him could read minds. Most importantly, it was very likely El had already taken control of Dressrosa itself.

Doflamingo, now in an absolutely passive position, could only lay his cards on the table.

"Don't worry. Let's enjoy the scenery first."

El smiled intriguingly. Then, to Doflamingo's confusion, he turned to look at the sky beyond Dressrosa and said, "It's almost time. A meteorite is about to appear."

"Meteorite?!"

Hearing these words, Doflamingo and the Donquixote Family members all showed confused expressions. But soon, their faces changed dramatically.

"What am I seeing?!"

"What is this?"

"The power… the power of a god?!"

Sugar and Baby 5, whose mental fortitude wasn't strong, were so terrified they collapsed to the ground. Even top executives like Trebol were now drenched in cold sweat, their legs trembling, eyes full of fear.

Even Doflamingo himself had veins bulging on his forehead, his face utterly grim. His eyes behind the sunglasses must have shrunk to pinpricks.

The Donquixote Family, one of the giants of the underworld, showed such an embarrassing state because of what appeared in the sky.

The lenses of Doflamingo's sunglasses now reflected a dazzling fire. Following his gaze, a gigantic meteorite suddenly appeared in the sky beyond Dressrosa, falling toward the sea at extreme speed.

The meteorite was still several thousand meters from the sea, yet Doflamingo and the others could see its form clearly.

"Hey… do you know how the dinosaurs went extinct?"

Turning to look at Doflamingo and the Donquixote Family, El said with a grin. "They were hit by a meteorite!"

BOOM—!

Almost as soon as El's words fell, the huge meteorite struck the sea several thousand meters from Dressrosa.

Seconds later, a powerful shockwave spread across the sea toward Dressrosa.

At that moment, whether Doflamingo, his Family members, or even the people of Dressrosa, all felt their bodies shake slightly. Some even fell to the ground.

The earthquake caused by the shockwave lasted a while before subsiding.

After everything calmed, the people of Dressrosa were discussing this inexplicable quake.

Only Doflamingo and his Family on the coast stood cold with sweat.

Looking out to sea, their pupils shrank; some were so frightened they were rendered speechless.

They saw a tsunami—still miles from Dressrosa—approaching, its outline growing larger.

As the tsunami drew near, the people of Dressrosa who had been discussing the earthquake froze, their faces pale, legs trembling as they slumped to the ground.

What kind of tsunami was this? They couldn't see its end at all. Though still miles from Dressrosa, the sky-darkening shadow had turned the sunny island overcast.

Doflamingo had never seen the tsunami Whitebeard could create. If he could travel through time and space to witness Whitebeard's tsunami at the Paramount War and then compare it to this one, he would sigh that Whitebeard's tsunami wasn't fit to carry this one's shoes.

This tsunami was astonishingly hundreds of meters high, and its range was staggering—impossible to see from left to right. It was a super-tsunami formed by millions of tons of seawater.

Such a super-tsunami, even monsters like El or Whitebeard couldn't produce with all their stamina.

But El had merely thrown a huge meteorite into the sea, thereby creating millions of tons of seawater that he could never lift with his own power—enough to drown Dressrosa in one wave.

That was the horror of space-based weapons: when meteorites enter the atmosphere from outer space, gravity creates a trajectory, accelerating them as they burn during descent. When they strike the sea, they generate terrifying tsunamis and can even trigger submarine volcanic eruptions, creating a chain reaction of natural disasters.

With this space-based weapon alone, the Quake-Quake Fruit's ability to create tsunamis and the strategic shock of shattering the earth could no longer compare to the Float-Float Fruit.

Facing this super-tsunami, Doflamingo—who could be called one of the New World's strongest—had absolutely no means to resist.

Even if his Devil Fruit awakened and he could turn the surrounding ground into strings, against this super-tsunami, he would be as vulnerable as an egg hitting a stone.

If El did not intervene, Dressrosa's fate would be to be submerged by the super-tsunami, the country destroyed on the spot, and the very islands sunk beneath the sea.
