Magnificient gates stood in the distance, dark chitinous being stood on its walls
guarding the city behind with untold vigilance.
Zero had no doubt these guards would snap and shoot at the slightest threat.
Just as he was pondering how to massacre these guards "just in case", Pilgy made his presence known as he started talking to everybody in the line.
"Hi Mr.Dricky, did you have a good holiday?"
"OOOHHH Miss Adraka is that a voidbeast on your back? SOOO COOOL ! I wish I can be like you more"
"LITTLE OGRIM, I HAVEN'T SEEN YOU IN AGES! Did you complete your studies at the Royal Academy?! It must've been so cool. you gotta tell me some of your stories at the bar later !"
Zero felt embarassed for the first time in thousands of year.
'Holy shit, for the love of the dead gods, CAN YOU KEEP YOUR ASS IN ONE PLACE??'
Just as he was about to go absolutely nuclear on the ADHD bug, he felt a soft tug at the chest.
'My lord, the changes to your shells have been done.'
Zero was surprised at such speed.
You see, he had already been rewarded the Charms [Quick Focus] and [Sharp Shadow] and the Item [Crystal Heart]. What he didn't expect was that his body was perfection.
It even had had orifices in it that could hold charm and automatically use them, as if his body was made with the use of Charms in mind; mind you that normally, a being had to concentrate to use the charm WHILE in combat, so it was one of the main disadventages of charms.
But now, he could use them while keeping his mental battery full.
'This body is suspiciously perfect. Really seems like I was made to become the ultimate lifeform or something.'
Anyways, he had instructed Grimm to insert the charms and crystal heart in him, wich he now finished.
Immediatly, he felt a strange pressure weight down on him. Zero felt it— He had limited charm slots. It seemed his body could only hold so many charms at the same time.
'At least it's not THAT broken'
Zero tried to get a feel for his newfound abilities, but before he could even try, he found the guards of the city waiting in front of him and asking for papers.
"Uhm, I'm sorry but I don't have any. I think I lost them during my hunt"
Suddenly, the guards were found unable to speak, Zero's Voice had already stunned them.
One of them stammered as he tried to keep a hold on his fragile authority:
"Uhm, I-I'm s-sorry, but w-we ccant allow you in the c-city without your pa- paper"
However, Pilgy once again came to the rescue.
"Can't you do an exeption for us Daniel? Don't worry he's with me.I'll also pay for your drink at the bar. How about it? I promise you we won't do anything or break the law!"
The guards tried to refute, but ultimately sighed as he let the two bugs in the city.
Zero had entered The Capital of Ina, Innanis Luxium.

Zero heard a voice echoe in the back of his mind the moment he step foot into the city.
It was like a drop of water falling in a calm pond, immediatly causing ripples through Zero's mind.
He felt it. The need to go where this echo come from.
It was like a primal instinct that shook his very being, urging him to meet What, or who made that Echoe.
'Strange, I've never felt that way before.'
Once again, Pilgy pulled him out of his gaze as he tugged one Zero's sleeve.
"ZERO, LOOK, THE TRIAL OF SELF IS STARTING SOON!! WE'RE SO LUCKYYY"
'Uhm?'
Zero looked strangely at the ADHD bug, clearly demanding for an explaination.
Pilgy seemed to whack his two braincells together for a few moments(a miracle) and finaly explained what he knew:
"The trial of self is the one made by the Royal Family, it makes you go against various trials to… I don't know. But I heard its really cool, and if you win you… I don't know? YOU BECOME COOOOOOLZZZ"
Zero stared at the bug with his usual "are you serious right now look™️", before telling pilgy that he had to go somewhere and that he should wait there.
"OKIEEEEE"
Zero wandered through a few street, before finding an empty alleyway.
"Come out"
Immediatly, a tall, slender, and elegant humanoid bug dressed in a long black cloak with a crimson-red interior, resembling a vampire moth or a ringmaster, rose from Zero's shadow.
"At your command, My lord."
Grimm bowed to Zero solemnly, awaiting orders.
"Find information about the "Trial of Self", I feel like something fishy is going on here. Also, try to find individual with the same Soul signature as my compagnions. Report to me immediatly once you find relevant info."
"Your wishes are my commands, Master"
Immediatly after that, Grimm dissapeared in a smokescreen of red mist.
Meanwhile, a certain blind seer was quite doing her best to survive.

Cassie was already confused before the nightmare.
She had a rough outline of the situation—that is, they found a forgotten sleeper "sealed" in a corner of the forgotten shore, and then got chased by a huge thingy, then they entered the nightmare.
She only counted 5 people tough, she wasn't sure where the extra came from.
Moreover, the fact that she didn't have much interaction with Zero further fueled her confusion.
She was already blind, and quite the shy girl. Coupled with Zero's usual silence, and that made a very, very confusing combo.
"Anyways, WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS"
WHY WAS SHE A HUMANOID MOTH.
She had NEVER EVER heard that a human could become a Nightmare Creature in a nightmare, but here she was.
Again, it didn't seem to be nightmare creatures either. They could speak, listen, write, they even seemed to possess deep understanding of Soul Essence.
In term of Supernatural matters, they were even more advanced than the Waking world.
'Weird, Isn't it depicted that Humans were the original inhabitant of the dream realm? If so, then where the hell am I ?'
Before she could continue to ponder over her situation, a Moth entered here "Tent".
"Saintess, the Tribe Leader is calling. The Trial is soon, we must prepare."
Cassie turned her head and nodded. Her flaw didn't magically change when going in another Physiology, it seemed.
'What am I thinking, flaws don't change'

Meanwhile, Zero once again stared at Pilgy's ADHD ass doing random bullshit.
"ZEROOOO, LOOK, A DANGO STAND. THESE ARE SO GOOD, uh ? OH MY WYRM, A LITTLE MOTH TRIBE PLUSHY. Mr. SHOPKEEPER, CAN I GET IT? PLEAAAAAAAASE"
The poor shopkeeper, being overwheilmed, ultimately gave away one of them so that the little shit could leave him alone.
'Here I thought he'd change since he could speak calmly last time, turns out its even worse.'
Zero sighed as he continued to follow PIlgy.
'Truly as the Nameless ones said, Miracles are only for a moment, while fate is often a long lasting event.'
