Chapter 9 - The Throne of Steel.

Came back from the dead to write another chapter. It feels different, tough, as if I'm on the verge of touching something.

Oh, its probably cuz I didn't take my pills.

The voices are funny.

I CAN FEEL IT. MY CREATIVE ENERGY IS STIMULATED.

RAHHHHHHHHHHHH.

WHITE SPLAAAAAAAAASH.

(I'm going insaaaaane)

(Arhan Pov)

Arhan Didn't know why he was doing this.

When looking at Zero, a sense of emptiness rose withing him… No, it should be the lack of emptiness.

Zero's sword came crashing down upon him, at speeds that would normally speed blitz him. Yet, he still reacted to it perfectly.

Arhan didn't know how he was doing this.

The world just seemed so…Beautiful at that moment. He forgot everything.

His aspect, his familly, Kora's desesperate struggle against the seemingly invincible Vessel, The life of his sword.

There was just fighting… And it felt so good. He just needed to swing his sword. Swing, swing, and swing again.

Arhan felt that he was close to grasping something about himself, yet it was illusory, not quite there yet. So close, yet so far.

But even the dissapointment swiftly dissapeared.

He just needed to fight.

Arhan raised his arm, before swinging downward in a diagonal manner. Zero effortless parried it, before sliding his nail against Arhan's sword and thrusting at him.

Arhan simply let himself fall to the ground, then, leveraging his free hand grasping the ground, delivered a Flying kick to Zero's head.

It was of course dodged by a duck from Zero.

Before Zero could finish off Arhan, Kora swung his long sword at him, however, it was blocked by Zero's nail, with Kora being kicked in the guts and flying across the Ashen barrow, before finaly crashing into a rock.

This was not a fight. It was an Execution.

The brats' combat experience was nowhere near sufficient to even hope to content with Zero.

In fact, in term of pure physical strenght, Zero was inferior to both of them, even with his Vessel Body. But that simply wasn't even a light handicap for the experienced warrior, who simply better utilized the strenght he had access to.

While Zero was inwardly sighing at the younger generation's weakness, Arhan jumped and delivered a spinning kick to Zero's head. As always, he simply tilted his head a little to dodge it.

Arhan and Kora both knew it. If they did not pull some crazy Hattrick, they would die.

Yet, opposite from Kora's burning determination, Arhan's was cold and calculating. He didn't know why, but something awakened within him.

He saw countless path—No, Lines, leading toward Zero, yet one stood out. One made of Steel. He felt it, if he followed that line, he would hit Zero.

And so he did.

Arhan swung his greatsword following the tragectory of that path.

Zero felt something tingle at the back of his head.

'Its starting.'

There were some people who were more attuned to their inner soul than others, these people had access to a True Name and better use of their aspect.

Yet, there were some aspect that, specificly, could only unleash their Full Potential once the user had access to their Inner Selves.

Arhan's was one of them.

He wasn't quite there yet, but it would surely happen, he would just accelerate the process.

Unexpectedly to Kora—A mere bystander to their confrontation— The hit connected, launching Zero across the Ashen barrow, yet he quickly leveraged his foothold to get back to his feet.

Arhan didn't know what he was seeing.

In his mind, the Image of a King—Seating on a throne of Swords— emerged in his mind. The king's face changed, sometimes being one of his classmate, sometime one of his family member, It seemed to encompass all sentient life form he had ever witnessed.

Yet, the King's face stopped changing. It seemed to solidify, until it took on its final form.

Himself.

The king laid leisurely on his throne, as if he was an immortal emperor overseeing all of creation.

Arhan's sword seemed to scream in excitement.

A title seemed to form in his mind, its outline solidifying, until it finaly formed a singular sentence.

𝕿𝖍𝖊 𝕿𝖍𝖗𝖔𝖓𝖊 𝕺𝖋 𝕾𝖙𝖊𝖊𝖑

Arhan's swordplay seemed to experience a complete change. His slashes and thrusts seemed calmed, sharper.

Even his gaze seemed to have matured.

Quickly, the fight went from One- Sided to a somewhat, fair exchange.

Kora was reduced to a mere bystander watching the Dance of two extraordinary beings.

It was truly a Beautiful battle.

Every attack, every jump, they all seemed to be throughly thought off. It was like a game of chess, but the speed cranked up Two thousands.

If Kora had to describe it in one word, it'd be…Pure.

The pure battle intent these two radiated could make even a saint bloodthirsty.

However, even in the seemingly Godly state Arhan was in, he still couldn't beat Zero.

No matter the attack, Zero seemed to have a counter for it. And finaly, He put his nail at Arhan's throat.

The fight was over.

—————————————

Or was it ?

Zero looked at Kora, and readied his stance.

"Oh dead Gods…"

And then, thrusted his Glowing white nail at him.

Only one thought emerged in Kora's mind.

'I'm royaly fucked.'
