Caden Lockwood sighed deeply, looking out at the pitch-black scenery outside the window, his handsome face full of sorrow.
At this moment, Evelyn Morgan came in with a glass of milk, gently knocking on the office door. Only after hearing his voice did she walk inside.
"Drink some milk!" Evelyn said softly, "I know you're busy with work, but you have to take care of your health too!"
"Have you had yours?" Caden asked. "Don't just remind me to take care of myself; you need to take care of yourself too."
"I had mine long ago! Aunt May never lets me go to sleep without finishing my milk!" Evelyn said with a smile.
Caden nodded, finished his milk, and then pulled Evelyn into his arms.
"I'm not here to interrupt your work!" Evelyn said shyly. "You go ahead and continue, I'll just read for a while!"
"No." Caden spoke softly. "I need to take some of your time; I have some things to discuss with you."
"What is it?" Evelyn turned to look at Caden. "You look so serious!"
