Bella and the others went to the police station to give their statements.
Since Bella is a public figure, the police agreed to keep it confidential to prevent the matter from being exaggerated by the media.
As they left the police station, the driver, who had cowardly hidden away during the incident, felt ashamed seeing Bella and Judy Zimmerman.
"Ms. Acker, I'm sorry. Their appearance was too frightening at the time. I have both young and elderly at home. If anything happened to me, they would have no way to live," the driver explained cautiously, fearing he might be fired for what had just happened.
"Choosing self-preservation in the face of danger is instinctive," Bella smiled, then turned to Cynthia Young, who had personally come to pick them up, and said, "Ms. Young, let's send Piggy home to rest first. She was really scared today."
"Ms. Young, I was negligent in my duties," Judy Zimmerman bowed her head, saying, "In the face of danger, it was Bella who protected me."
