Chapter 79 - Family

Konohagakure no sato :

Konoha Hospital :

Early Morning :

The sterile, metallic scent of antiseptic hung heavy as Naruto sat perched on the edge of a high-tech examination table. True to his word, the Third Hokage had escorted him to the hospital at dawn.

Naruto swung his legs restlessly, acting the part of an impatient child, though his [Mind Hub] was quietly cataloging the intricate seals etched into the medical equipment.

"Grandpa, I told you! I feel like I could punch a mountain!"

Naruto complained, pouting as a team of three medical-nin rolled in a series of humming machines for a protocol usually reserved for elite Jōnin returning from high-intensity torture or deep-cover infiltration.

"Patience, Naruto," Hiruzen said softly, his pipe unlit. "If you are as healthy as you claim, this will be over quickly."

Looking at those new machines and also the increase in the Medical Shinobi's around , Naruto soon came to a realisation that

( It's different from the normal monthly check-ups ....*sigh* )

Naruto quieted down and uses his MindHub skill plus Dynamic Vision and Keen eye skill to throughly memorsise all the patterns and also the tests that are happening around him .

A Senior Medical Doctor named Yoshio came around Naruto and under the watch of Hospital Dean and Hokage , He and the team of Medical shinobi started their routine .

The examination was a clinical siege, a meticulous blend of cutting-edge technology and mystical arts:

Fluid Analysis (Blood and Urine): Medics drew multiple vials to check for chemical imbalances, high cortisol, and potential toxins.

Yoshio performed a Hemorrhage Detection Jutsu, ensuring no internal bleeding was occurring in the brain or gut from chakra surges.

( what kind of jutsu did they use .....it's different .....forget it just watch and remember the process )

The Body check continued

Skeletal Imaging (X-Ray): Capturing bone density and structure.

A medic performed a Bone-Binding Scan, feeling for micro-fractures in his ribs and shins caused by heavy training. The medic retreated and started to write the report for the Doctors.

Muscular and Myofascial Integrity

Due to Naruto's intense weight training, the medics used a Myographic Scanner to map muscle fiber density and potential tearing.

Yoshio performed the Muscle Resonance Jutsu. By vibrating his chakra through Naruto's muscle groups, he could detect "silent" strain—knots of exhausted tissue that appeared healthy on the surface but were near the point of total failure.

Naruto was slid into the humming tube of the MRI machine.

Immediately after, Yoshio used the Cellular Vitality Scan, measuring the rate of cellular mitosis and repair.

Naruto was placed into the Computed Tomography scanner. The machine rotated around him, taking a series of X-ray images from different angles to create cross-sectional "slices" of his body.

Yoshio used the Organ Resonance Jutsu, tapping into the CT's data in real-time to check for any hidden inflammation in the liver or kidneys.

They used an Ultrasound Scanner to check internal organs for inflammation, followed by a Chakra Pathway Probe.

A specialized medic used the Organ Resonance Jutsu again . ensuring Naruto's heart and lungs weren't being strained by the massive chakra intake.

Once the final machine powered down, the Hokage gestured to Yoshio and addressed Naruto

"Naruto, wait here. Eat your snack and don't touch the equipment."

"Ugh, fine!" Naruto huffed, pulling a mango lollipop from his pocket as the two adults stepped into a private office.

( Has it been 2 hours since I came here ....ughh )

The Doctor's Office: Private Debriefing

Inside the soundproofed office, Yoshio slumped into his chair, rubbing his eyes. He spread the long scrolls of data and the dark MRI films across his desk.

"Lord Hokage... by all laws of shinobi medicine, that boy should be a vegetable."

Hiruzen's face hardened. "Explain. The MRI—did it show brain damage?"

"Damage? His neural pathways are riddled with micro-tears," Yoshio said, pointing to the glowing highlights on the brain scan.

"The sheer volume of sensory data from the Shadow Clones is causing his nervous system to overheat. And his muscles? The Myographic Scan shows the density of a teenager twice his age. He's pushing his physical frame to the absolute breaking point. If a normal Jōnin attempted this, their brain would literally melt and their muscles would almost detach from the bone within forty-eight hours."

Hiruzen closed his eyes. "Then I must stop him."

"Wait," Yoshio interrupted, pointing to the Cellular Vitality readout.

"Look at the recovery. This is where it defies logic. The boy isn't just surviving; he's adapting. His Uzumaki constitution provides 'toughness' to his nerves and muscle fibers, acting like reinforced insulation. But the real miracle is the chakra. His massive reserves—and the secondary source—are acting as a constant, high-pressure coolant and repair kit. While he sleeps for those twelve hours, his body is aggressively rebuilding his synapses and repairing muscle tears. He is effectively a self-repairing machine. As long as he keeps that repairing sleep , he is safe."

Hiruzen let out a long, shaky breath. "So his talent and the fox... they are shielding him from his own recklessness?"

"Exactly. He has the rarest talent of all: the Body to survive the All that Stress "

---------------------------------------

Exclusive Training Ground: 2:00 PM

The training ground was a whirlwind of activity. Dozens of Shadow Clones moved in a synchronized chaos—some clashing in Taijutsu, someperfecting the rotation of a Shuriken and others going thrugh the usual routine .

Naruto stood in the center, the eye of the storm.

With the doctor's "Clean Bill of Health" serving as his shield,

Naruto had returned to his clearing after a morning spent in the Archives. He had only left at 2:00 PM, but not before signing in for the [Great Sage] skill. The confirmation from the hospital was clear: his body could take the strain, though he was now mandated to return every fifteen days for a check-up.

(...I can sign-in at the hospital every fifteen days,) Naruto thought with a silence ( I also want to know when will the Chunin Mediacal Shinobi will be signed in)

After one hour of intense routine, the clearing was occupied in every direction by his clones. Naruto signaled them to maintain their positions.

Naruto decided to train the jutsu that needed his main body .

(Time for the Overdrive.)

Naruto pulled up the mental blueprint of the jutsu. Months of gathering explanations and perfecting hand-signs had led to this moment. Under the effects of the [Great Sage], the complexity of the technique was mapped out with surgical precision:

Neural Acceleration: Utilizing Lightning Release to speed up the electrical signals sent from the brain to the muscles, slashing reaction time to near zero or the maximum one is capable of .

Muscular Stimulation: Creating electric pulses to stimulate every muscle group simultaneously, granting a massive boost to reflex speed.

Kinetic Sharpening: Coating the hands and feet in a high-frequency vibration, granting barehanded cutting capabilities.

Naruto began his practice with calculated caution. Every 30 minutes, just as his clones were reaching the point of dispersal, he would pause. He implemented a strict cycle: 30 minutes of training, followed by a 5-minute break.

The Break was for some Shadow clones to dispurse .

During these breaks, Naruto sat in a meditative pose. The Great Sage worked frantically to sort the sensory "static" from the lightning-fast movements, and also the memories of the shadow clones .

It was to ensure the feedback didn't overwhelm his brain.

"Alright," Naruto whispered. "Let's turn the power on."

Naruto focused inward. He visualized the lightning wrapping around his nerves like a secondary, liquid-metal sheath.

Ram → Snake → Tiger → Bird → Dragon →...

"Overdrive!"

The effect was instantaneous. A jagged, pale blue aura snapped into existence, clinging to his skin like translucent flicker of sparks . To the outside world, Naruto simply blurred. To Naruto, the world turned into a slow motion .

( Only 20% slower .....but this is still good )

Naruto calculated with Great Sage skill and starts to focus more and decided to activate Dynamic Vision and Keen Eye skills too .

( woahh ...!!!)

Naruto could see the individual wings of a dragonfly beating in the distance. He moved his arm, and it felt as if it reached the destination the moment he thought about it.

He lunged toward a reinforced wooden dummy.

SHING!

He didn't punch it. He struck it with an open-palm swipe. The high-frequency vibration of the Lightning chakra acted like a plasma cutter. The dummy didn't break; it was sliced clean through, the edges of the wood slightly charred from the friction.

( I feel the limit .)

Naruto reappeared ten feet away, his chest heaving. The blue glow flickered and died. His muscles felt like they had been dipped in acid, and a dull, throbbing ache began at the base of his skull—the "Nerve Fatigue" the Great Sage warned him about.

( 1 and a half seconds of active use,....Need to train it more )

Naruto noted, wiping sweat from his brow.

( If I didn't have the fox's chakra repairing the insulation on my nerves in real-time, I'd have fried my brainstem.)

Naruto checked the timer. 30 minutes were up. He signaled the clones. They dispersed in a massive cloud of white smoke, and he took his 5-minute rest, popping a mango-flavored lollipop into his mouth.

Naruto looked at his trembling hands, a feral grin crossing his face. he was becoming a living circuit.

By the time the afternoon sun began to dip, Naruto felt he had found it. He stood up, his skin prickling with static.

"The signal moves the body," Naruto whispered, recalling the Hokage's words. "The body does not move the signal."

Naruto focused on his Tenketsu, ensuring the lightning chakra wasn't just pooling, but vibrating. His hands blurred through the seals: Ram → Snake → Tiger → Bird → Dragon......

"Overdrive!"

Instead of a jagged explosion of sparks, a pale, ghostly blue aura tightened around his skin, shimmering like a second layer of muscle.

The world didn't just slow down; it became a series of frozen frames. He could see a leaf falling from the ancient oak tree, hanging in the air as if suspended in water.

(This isn't about speed ......It's about tolerance.)

Naruto reappeared in the center of the clearing, the blue glow flickering out like a dying bulb. He fell to one knee, steam rising from his shoulders.

" 2 and a half seconds," Naruto panted, his lungs burning.

" The signal... it's like my thoughts are pulling my limbs before I even realize I've decided to move. "

Seeing the sun dipping on the Horizon , Naruto decided tosuspend today's training and heads back .

7:00 PM

The sun was bleeding into the horizon, casting long, amber streaks across the floorboards of the apartment as Naruto stepped through the door. His nerves were still humming from the Overdrive training, a dull electric thrum that made his fingertips tingle.

But the moment he crossed the threshold, the heavy atmosphere of the training ground evaporated.

"I'm home," Naruto breathed, the [Acting] mask finally dropping, replaced by a weary but genuine softness.

He wasn't greeted by silence. From the kitchen, the rhythmic thud-thud-thud of a knife against a cutting board signaled that his Shadow Clones were well into the dinner preparations.

From the living room, an Orange blur intercepted him.

Simba, the pup, let out a sharp, happy yip, skidding across the wooden floor and nearly toppling Naruto over. The dog was growing fast, his coat thick and healthy thanks to the high-grade nutrition Naruto meticulously tracked.

Naruto knelt, scratching the pup behind the ears.

"Did you behave for the clones today, Simba?" The Pup responded by trying to lick the static off Naruto's hands, sneezing when a tiny spark jumped from Naruto's skin to his nose.

High above, perched on the curtain rod, two pairs of intelligent eyes watched the interaction. Rem and Ram, the twin ravens, shifted their weight. One let out a low, guttural croak that sounded suspiciously like a greeting, while the other—ever the scout—tilted its head to inspect the faint singe marks on Naruto's training gear.

Finally, from the darkest corner of the bookshelf, a pair of massive, unblinking amber orbs opened. Sadako, the owl, didn't move. She simply watched, a silent sentinel of the night, waiting for the sun to fully disappear.

Naruto walked into the kitchen, where three clones worked in a synchronized dance. Here, Naruto had discovered a brilliant loophole : Shadow Clones might not possess his "System Skills" directly, but they shared his Memories.

By channeling the knowledge of his previous sign-ins—Chef Skill, Butcher Skill, Medical Shinobi, herb Knowledge and even Beauty Care—the clones could replicate professional-grade results. They utilized medical knowledge to balance diet and herbology to maximize nutrient absorption.

"Report," Naruto said, leaning against the counter

"Calories are calculated," Clone #1 replied, not looking up from a pan of searing beef. "High protein for muscle repair, complex carbs for the chakra drain, and we've added a specific blend of magnesium-rich greens to help with the nerve fatigue from the Overdrive."

Clone #2 was assembling a massive salad, while Clone #3 was plating a bowl of specialized "Puppy Stew" for Simba. The kitchen smelled of garlic, ginger, and soy—a warm, domestic aroma that grounded Naruto's buzzing mind.

"We also finished the calligraphy commissions,"

Clone #3 added, gesturing to a stack of completed scrolls on the small dining table.

"That's another 5,000 Ryo for the Frog Wallet ."

As the clones began to set the table, Naruto sat on the floor, allowing Simba to climb into his lap. The ravens, Rem and Ram, hopped down from their perch, landing gracefully on the back of his chair, waiting for their share of the lean protein.

Sadako finally took flight, her wings making absolutely no sound as she glided to the windowsill. She was the only one who preferred the silence of the night, but even she stayed close when Naruto was home.

Naruto looked at his small, unconventional family.

In the village, he was a Jinchūriki, a "legacy," or a "weapon." But here, he was just a Family .

"Thanks for the food," Naruto murmured, picking up his chopsticks as the clones dispersed into smoke, their memories of the day's chores and the scent of the spices flowing into his mind.

He ate methodically. Every bite was fuel for the [Great Sage] to use during the upcoming twelve-hour coma. He shared small scraps of beef with the ravens and watched Simba devour his meal with reckless abandon.

By 7:50 PM, the dishes were washed, the animals were fed, and the apartment was locked down. Naruto climbed into bed, his body feeling like lead as the 12-hour recovery window approached.

Simba curled up at the foot of the bed. Rem and Ram headed to their home , and Sadako stood guard by the window, her amber eyes scanning the streets of Konoha.

"Goodnight, guys," Naruto whispered.

He formed the seal. The Great Sage took over and Naruto's consciousness was snuffed out instantly.
