Chapter 39 - 36

Sevatar came to Konrad Curze's side. He looked at his father, his pale face with his eyes constantly shifting.

"Should we urge them?"

Sevatar looked at the stormbird that had been circling in the air for at least half an hour.

"No need to worry, Sevatar."

Although Konrad Curze also felt some displeasure, he still stopped his scion from performing such impolite behavior, even if the War Hounds had been impolite first.

When the blue and white stormbird landed on the tarmac, the hatch slowly opened. The Redeemer Guard were the first to disembark, each of them striding down with resolute gazes, then looking towards the Night Lords nearby, and the mortals gathered to fill the ranks.

Gell and Khaen were calculating their chances of getting Angron out, surrounded by this crowd.

Angron walked down the ship with a smile, intending to exchange a few sarcastic remarks, but before he could reach Konrad Curze, the immense fear and evil emotions of Nostramo directly pressed down on him. Angron felt so overwhelmed by this colossal emotion that he couldn't breathe for a moment, and he stumbled back two heavy steps.

"Phew! nail!"

"I'm eating! Wait a moment!"

System AI looked at the emotions absorbed by Angron and felt helpless. What a despairing world this was, with absolute order on the surface concealing endless oppression and despair.

Angron was unsure how Konrad Curze had managed to grow up in such a world. Fear was like a shroud wrapped around the humans of this world. Beneath the facade of glorious righteousness, Angron saw twisted and evil souls, an inherent wickedness that was the norm in this world.

"My brother, are you alright…"

Konrad Curze wanted to step forward with concern, feeling somewhat at a loss. He could sense that his demigod brother was not in a good state, and it was this step forward by Konrad Curze that triggered an instinctive reaction from Gell and the others.

As the Redeemer Guard raised their weapons, Sevatar and the others also gathered around Konrad Curze, glaring fiercely at these uncouth men. This was an act of blasphemy against their Primarch!

Just as the situation became tense, with swords drawn and bows bent.

"Gell!"

Angron gasped, stopping the impending fratricide.

"Apologize!"

Angron's command made Gell stride up to Konrad Curze.

"I apologize, Lord Curze, forgive our rudeness as barbarians."

A true man knows when to yield. Gell didn't think there was anything wrong with apologizing.

"Konrad Curze!"

Angron stepped forward, his gaze fixed on Konrad Curze's eyes.

Angron, with an exceptionally heavy heart, stared directly at Konrad Curze.

"What have you done to your people!?!?"

Angron's anger could no longer be suppressed. He grabbed Konrad Curze's shoulders, and Konrad Curze's face paled somewhat.

"This is for justice, I had no choice!"

"This is for justice!"

"Angron, you should understand me! This is for justice!"

Konrad Curze kept muttering.

Sevatar and the others, seeing that their Primarch was not in a good state, rushed over immediately.

"Now!"

Gell saw that the Night Lords hadn't picked up their weapons, and they also rushed forward immediately.

The Imperium's superhumans collided. Sevatar took a solid punch from Gell. He angrily raised his head, looking at Gell and the others whose eyes were also bloodshot.

"Night Lords!"

"War Hounds!"

"Beat them up!"

The voices of both sides rang out through the comms.

"Small matter."

System AI, recording various data from these Space Marines of the Imperium, had such a thought flash through his mind.

"I had no choice, Angron! This is a righteous act, my father thought this was right, he thought it was right! You should understand me! This is unavoidable!"

Konrad Curze's hair became disheveled as he tried to push Angron away, but Angron's hands were like clamps, gripping Curze's shoulders tightly. Konrad Curze's eyes flashed with various illusions; in the future, he saw Angron watching him with bloodthirsty eyes, and he saw the bloody corruption on Angron.

In the midst of the blood, Konrad Curze saw Angron, with his fleshy wings spread, glaring at him menacingly.

No, the future hasn't changed! No! No, no, no!

"No!"

Konrad Curze shrieked.

Sevatar looked at his Primarch, who was going mad again. He headbutted Gell, and blood seeped from Gell's face. He punched Sevatar again, and the two Space Marines punched each other in the most primitive way, relying on their physical and mental strength to keep going.

"Why did things have to turn out this way!"

System AI saw the scene through Angron's eyes. He didn't understand why this meeting had become so chaotic.

The mortals who had been cheering and warmly welcoming the War Hounds were now silent, watching this comical scene.

"Slap!"

A crisp sound rang out, and Konrad Curze felt a heavy blow to his face.

That's right, Angron directly slapped Konrad Curze across the face.

The crimson handprint completely woke Konrad Curze up. He covered his face in disbelief, looking at Angron.

"You… hit me?"

A stunned Konrad Curze hadn't yet fully processed what had happened.

Angron looked at Curze, his brother.

"Sorry."

Angron said in a low voice. Angron felt he had done something wrong. Although this would slightly fracture his relationship with Konrad Curze, the entire world pouring into Angron's mind made him extremely uncomfortable. This was a world filled with sin, and Konrad Curze was the only light in this world, but Angron could feel that this dark world would drown Konrad Curze.

"Good hit! Another slap!"

Angron's mouth twitched. All his guilt was dispelled by that one sentence from the Butcher's Nails.

"Angron!"

Konrad Curze quickly reacted to being slapped by Angron!

His sharp voice made Angron instinctively slap Konrad Curze again!

"Slap!"

The crisp echo rang out once more.

"my father!"

Sevatar could no longer endure such an insult to his Primarch. He erupted with a brute force from somewhere, directly flipping Gell over. He punched down one Redemption Guard warrior after another. Sevatar, consumed by rage, turned his head once more, only to see a thick staff smash onto his head.

"Coward!"

Sevatar's eyes rolled back, and he fell to the ground with a thud.

Varys held his staff, looking expressionlessly at Sevatar lying on the ground. Although he had mostly relied on a sneak attack, he was, after all, a Librarian who was supposedly defenseless.

The mortal record-keepers were documenting this absurd scene: the first battle between the Night Lords and the War Hounds.

It was very comical…
