Christian was dumbfounded.
"How would I know? They just said that while researching, it suddenly exploded, just like that," Sampson said, bewildered.
"How could this happen?" Christian was somewhat disoriented. "Without the jar, doesn't that mean we have nothing left?"
Ever since Fiend's Larder closed, they had been relying on that Bronze Jar, hoping to turn the tide. As long as they could crack the jar, they'd have Magic Cuisine, along with those miraculous weight-loss tea and beauty cream.
By then, the benefits Vanguard would receive wouldn't just be several billion; it might even exceed ten billion.
And now, without the jar, everything is lost.
Suddenly, Sampson seemed to realize something, looked toward the crowd, and said through gritted teeth, "I get it now. Why was that kid acting so calm and never came to ask us for the jar back? Turns out he had already tampered with it."
