Milo begins to move slowly again while the others are still fighting. Lisa jumps from one tree to another to confuse the gorilla and drain its stamina. She injures the gorilla every now and then when it just barely allows it. However, after several times, the gorilla no longer permits it and strikes Lisa to the ground, creating a small bang and a crater. She stands up slowly, but then the next strike from the gorilla comes immediately, throwing Lisa through several trees. The gorilla runs after her; with a powerful leap, it catches up to Lisa and strikes her to the ground, causing her to arch in pain. The gorilla strikes again, and this time Lisa flies forward. She crashes into a mountain, which develops cracks as a result. The gorilla runs toward her and strikes again, and again, and again. It strikes ten times, with a loud cracking sound being heard several times. The mountain shatters into two halves, and Lisa flies through this gap between the split mountain. At the other end is a kind of cave that leads at least ten kilometers down. She falls into the depths of this cave. Upon impact, she breaks a rib and falls down next to a sharp stone. Liters of blood come from the corners of her mouth. She stands up again with heavy breath.
"Damn... my arm and my rib. My foot is also broken." Lisa looks up with a pain-filled face. She opens her own dimension hole and takes the first portion from her supplies. In addition, she sets up a camp to survive the night, as it is already dark. Milo, meanwhile, is already waking up, and I can quickly go to Suri after leaving Milo two new daggers. I sprint directly toward Suri, who is currently fighting the giant bird, which dodges every one of her shots. No matter if it's a thousand shots in twenty seconds—it dodges every one without any problems. It prepares for a dive, flying into the air higher than Suri can shoot. She prepares to dodge and loads a hook onto the arrow with a rope attached. She shoots the arrow at a mountainside that is even higher than the bird. It begins its plunge, and at the moment it would hit her, Suri pulls herself up. Having reached the top, she quickly runs into a dense forest, knowing that she has no chance against it—at least not with this bow. While she is fleeing, I am already near her. Two minutes later, we meet by chance.
"Oh Min, you're here! What's going on?" Suri looks at me with confused eyes, but she is afraid that I want to help. However, I only hand her the snow-white bow with golden elements in it. She looks at me with a beaming face.
"This is much better than your previous one." I turn around again and run away.
"Thank you!" Suri shouts after me. She sets up her camp there, since in case of emergency there is also a gorge nearby where she would be safe from the eagle. She takes her portion of the food, which contains an omelet with rice and an apple. "Hm, a bit meager. What if I had already devoured this at lunch... oh well, at least it's something." She starts to eat.
Meanwhile, even more is happening with Luna. Her rapier has already shattered against the snake, and the snake was only hit once, which is why it heals quickly. The snake itself cannot take much, but its defense is immense; only that small point protects it from death. "Fine, if that's how it is." Luna notices it relatively quickly, which is why she stands still and can cast her special magic. Everything on the ground around her freezes, while everything in the air burns. Even the air itself starts to burn. It is amazing how Luna has developed since she mastered her special magic. The heat slowly moves downward and the cold slowly moves upward. It goes against the laws of nature for heat to go down, which is what makes this magic so special. Luna's hair begins to glow; one side fire-red and the other snow-white. Both sides now glow as if they were burning or snowing—more than usual when she runs around in the sun. I stay behind a tree that hasn't started burning yet. In order not to burn the entire forest, I create a barrier around her which prevents the fire from spreading further. The two elements begin to collide and merge. Every mage can have a special magic; mine, for example, is this all-element magic. Every special magic breaks a law of nature. The more breaks of the laws of nature, the stronger it is and the more powerful the mage. Luna's magic becomes a magical rapier that can pierce even the hardest material, meaning she only has to run toward the snake to kill it. She prepares for the run. She sprints off and in only a fraction of a second, she stands before the snake and stabs it five times. This is her perfected special magic. Not a single time did she hit the weak spot, and yet the snake screams in pain; additionally, it falls lifeless to the ground. Luna rejoices and jumps up and down. Her elemental dagger disappears, and I step out from behind the tree with a clap. She turns around slowly.
"Min, you were here!"
"Yes, I was. Congratulations, because if you had used your special magic like usual, it wouldn't have done anything. These monsters, which are called Galaxy Monsters, can only be killed with this magic." I go toward her and take her by the hand. After that, I fly home with her quickly so she can rest a bit.
Meanwhile, Kira is fighting the tiger, which dodges her the entire time; however, the reverse is also true. The two fight the whole time until the sun is already setting. She runs further into the forest and finds an island in the middle of a lake, where the tiger does not dare to go due to being afraid of water. She sets up her camp there to rest a bit and eat something. Since I put the same in for everyone, her portion is also a bit meager, but that is simply part of the challenge—managing the provisions. After she has eaten, she undresses down to her underwear and goes for a short swim in the lake. She places her clothes on a branch behind a stone. After a few minutes, she is finished and gets out again. She stands behind the rock, puts on new underwear and new clothes in general. She goes into her tent to lie down in a sleeping bag.
With Lilly, however, it is not so nice and relaxed. She is now facing a golem made of Galaxy Ore. This ore is harder than Mithril or other metals or raw materials. She takes her greatsword off her back. She takes it in both hands to have a better grip. Without thinking, she charges at the golem, which just stands there and analyzes the whole situation. Lilly strikes it with full force, but it does nothing. Her biggest problem will be that she rarely uses magic, for in itself, she could already use it. But usually, the magic activates through a critical situation, which she will enter faster than anyone else since this monster is specifically for her. There seems to be a Galaxy God, otherwise the monsters would not be perfectly matched to us—or rather, matched to the others, as I haven't encountered one so far. She causes not even a bit of damage, which is why she first retreats.
"Damn, I'm too weak!" She runs onto a small hill near the golem. The golem cannot follow there because it is much too heavy for this incline. "What was that tip Min gave again?" She remembers my words from recently: "There are monsters that can only be defeated with special means. Luna already masters this means, even if not yet perfectly." She remembers these words perfectly, as if I were saying them to her for the first time. She also remembers that her mother once talked about special magic when she was smaller. A woman with beautiful black hair sits in an armchair with Lilly on her lap.
"Lilly, do you know the story with the Monster of Death, the Star Orc Lord, and the mage with the special magic?" Lilly's mother looks at Lilly, who was even smaller then, with a questioning face. Lilly just shakes her head. "Good, I'll tell it to you... There was once a young man, about seventeen years old. At that time, he was celebrated as the God of Magic or also the Hero of Magic. But he didn't really have much to do with a god or hero. Back then, he went to a mission for a B-rank monster, but when he arrived there, he only found the Star Orc Lord, a God Monster. He fought without being afraid of losing because he thought no one could defeat him. But he was wrong. The Star Orc Lord was far superior to him. As a last desperate attempt, he tried a magic that mixes all elements. This magic has been called special magic ever since. That is magic that is always adapted to one person; this magic is never the same. But even that did nothing against the Star Orc Lord, and he died." Her mother stops talking as she sees that Lilly is slowly getting scared.
"Mama, is this story true... are there really such monsters?" Lilly looks at her mother with a fearful face. The mother just nods; she doesn't seem to be a person who lies to anyone else, no matter the age.
Lilly stands on the hill. The golem is slowly managing to get up. She changes her greatsword into a giant hammer. She jumps toward the golem, which is currently climbing up, even if only slowly. Lilly holds the giant hammer over her head and falls down onto the golem. Just before she reaches it, she already swings the hammer, making the force of the strike even stronger. She hits the golem exactly on the head. But the only thing that happens is that the golem loses its footing and rolls down.
"Damn, Luna has her special magic, probably this heat-ice thing, but what is mine?" She looks into the air, and suddenly she sees something: a kind of wind-cut that briefly cuts through the sunlight. "Hm, what was that... a tip?" She looks at the golem, which is hiding from the darkness, making it clear to Lilly that the golem cannot endure darkness. "But that's not possible at all. Light cannot be cut through." Her voice is full of wonder, then she remembers that just before her mother died, she was told one more thing: "Special magic is against the law of the world. Remember that well, little one!"
Lilly suddenly begins to glow black all over her body. After a second, a small light also comes forth. She looks around; suddenly it becomes completely dark around her. Nothing can be seen anymore until suddenly it starts to glow completely and the darkness mixes with the light. The darkness is only visible to the golem and the light only to Lilly, which makes the golem weaker, as it is darkness that weakens the golem and makes it easily vulnerable. Lilly looks around in wonder for a moment until suddenly her entire hammer is also shrouded in glowing darkness. "That's what mother meant back then," Lilly thinks as she runs toward the golem, the hammer over her head. She is just before the golem, swinging the hammer downward and inflicting several cracks in the golem with a proper strike. She repeats this several times, causing the golem to slowly collapse. She hops around happily and lies down on the hard, stony ground. I no longer feel the golem's mana, which is why I go there directly from home to bring her home as well.
Luna, meanwhile, is swimming a bit in the pool with the little girl. The others are sleeping in the meantime. I only reach Lilly the next morning, where she is still sleeping in her tent. In the following days, everyone manages to defeat the monsters. Suri has magic with which she creates a bow made of ice and an arrow, about a hundred centimeters long, which she can fire five hundred times. In just one second, she can make five hundred attacks with it, which the eagle didn't even narrowly survive; it was pierced three hundred times by arrows. Milo's special magic is similar to mine, except that instead of a sphere, the elements mix in two daggers that last for ten minutes. Kira's special magic is simply made: it is a living death that heals and kills at the same time. Those whom Kira sees as enemies die in just an instant; but those she sees as friends or allies are healed in only a second. Only life itself she cannot restore with it—dead is dead, except for me and Lisa. Lisa has an equally strong special magic: everything she touches is erased, or rather, killed. No matter if animal, plant, human, or monster—everything that lives can die.
Several months, even years later; the week before the attack of the Demon King. We have all grown older. We are all fifteen and sixteen. The little girl is now ten years old. Kira and I are still a couple, as are Milo and Suri. Everyone's status has gone up incredibly.
