I look at the king with eyes filled with hatred.
"Dear Min, or should I say, Hero of Humanity... why did you kill people? Truly, just to save one girl? Typical commoner."
"You stupid slave to the gods. If you truly believe that helping and saving others is wrong, then you are foolish and simple-minded. Let me tell you one thing: there are people who kill for fun. Then there are those who kill for a reason. And then there are those who kill to save," I say in an explanatory voice. The king looks at me with a grim, yet understanding face. He gives the guards a sign to let me go.
"You are different. You are powerful, but not only in combat," he says with a smile and simply lets me go. I seize the opportunity and leave quickly; after all, I still have my birthday to celebrate. I snap my fingers and suddenly appear among the others, who are currently looking after the little girl.
"Hey, I'm back!" I look at everyone briefly while they jump in surprise. The little girl starts giggling alongside me, while the others look at us indignantly.
"Where is your family, little one?" I crouch down a bit to look her better in the eyes. She thinks for a moment, but then shakes her head sadly. "I'm sorry, but I don't have a family anymore." She says it with a sorrowful expression. I smile briefly and then offer her my hand.
"Then come with us," Kira says with a cheerful face. We are startled for a moment and look at her questioningly, but then we all nod. The girl's eyes begin to sparkle. But how does she imagine this working? After all, she is just a child and we are in the middle of preparing for a war. The Demon King won't be easy, but for now, I can allow it. We walk home with the little one by our side. Everyone we pass looks at us strangely. I get fed up with it and pull us all together so that I can teleport us quickly enough. The closer we are, the faster the teleportation goes. It begins to glow around us. Only a second later, we are suddenly standing in the garden where the cake is already on the table, as Milo stayed behind to prepare everything. Milo is still swimming a bit in the pool when we appear near him. He comes right out and dries himself off. He sits at the table in a T-shirt, and we do the same.
"What happened? And what's with the girl there?" Milo looks at her with some wonder, but then we explain everything to him—what happened and how it happened. We finish eating and spend the rest of the day relaxing, sometimes by the pool, sometimes under the cherry blossom tree that Milo explained to me from his world—a tree with pink cherry blossoms. Slowly the day passes, and while the girl is already asleep, I tell everyone everything about the Quest Day. I have found a mission for everyone with monsters that even rank above God-level. It has been a long time since I last saw their power values. Everyone nods in agreement. I then give everyone a quest sheet with specific monsters. We all go to sleep, and I give everyone one week to complete these quests. Everyone is on their own, while I take care of something in the neighboring village.
The next morning, everyone takes the lunch boxes I prepared for them—seven per person, made throughout the entire night. After that, I went directly to the village where I still had something to settle. Luna goes straight to her assignment: a giant snake that is only vulnerable at one small point. It is a so-called Galaxy Monster, which is about 1.5 times as strong as a God Monster. I arrive in the village where I am supposed to quickly wipe out a band of a hundred thieves. I go to the mayor of the small village, who tells me everything right away.
Meanwhile, Luna encounters the snake from her quest for the first time. She dodges instinctively and tries to hit it directly. She hits one of the snake's scales, but nothing more. The snake disappears back into the darkness. She remains alert so as not to be surprised by the snake.
Lisa is also already close to the territory of her Galaxy Monster. For her, it is a giant gorilla that only one person has survived so far. But since she never truly dies as long as there is someone who knows of her existence, she lives on. She stays on guard not to be startled by the monster or to take heavy damage. She comes upon a vast field of flowers. A shadow appears on the ground as she arrives, accompanied by a brutal scream. She recoils and jumps out of the shadow. Only a second later, something lands in front of her. Lisa's eyes widen.
Meanwhile, I am in the process of finding and destroying the thieves. Suri is already busy tracking down her Galaxy Monster, as she was attacked by the Demon Eagle just a few seconds ago. Suri looks into the sky the whole time but finds it nowhere in the area; other than the eagle's cry, she hears nothing the entire time. She gets an idea. She draws her bow with ten arrows at once. "I see, it's invisible," Suri thinks, while she fires ten arrows twenty times in a row. However, 200 arrows in five seconds are too slow or too few. The eagle plunges invisibly toward Suri. She doesn't even manage to dodge and flies against a tree.
In the meantime, I am fighting the band of thieves with ease. After I am finished, I collect the reward and start running immediately. Milo, Lilly, and Kira are still looking for their Galaxy Monsters. Luna, meanwhile, is being attacked by the giant snake again. She narrowly dodges and aims again at a small point on the scales but misses by only a millimeter. Her rapier is slowly starting to break, but it is still functioning just enough for her to fight without danger for a short while. She quickly runs to a place where the snake can no longer hide anywhere. She dodges all attacks to form a plan on how to defeat this monster with a broken rapier—a monster that not even the strongest in the world can defeat. Each of these monsters is one that normally no one can conquer. But for some reason, when I checked everyone's status during the night, they were at an insane level of power. Everyone was between 6 million and 10 million, and I am even at approximately 54 million. So, our troupe is now stronger than any god that is truly known in terms of strength.
Luna has been occupying the snake for several minutes already. Meanwhile, Lisa is already fully immersed in the fight. She tries to inflict damage on the gorilla somehow, but its musculature is like a shield. One of her daggers breaks off immediately without even having started properly. She doesn't even attack with the other dagger because she knows how it will end. She simply dodges every attack until the gorilla can no longer attack.
"Lisa, behind you," I whisper softly while holding out daggers to her that are much more robust.
"Where did you suddenly come from?" She looks around confused, but I am nowhere in the area anymore. Lisa slowly prepares for battle again.
After a while, Milo also finds his opponent: a Cerberus, which is a three-headed dog. He runs toward it without thinking much. However, he doesn't aim for the body but for the eyes, as a Cerberus is only vulnerable at the eyes. But it's not as easy as one thinks, because the beast can create heat with its snout. Milo doesn't consider this and burns his foot immediately. He kneels down and heals himself quickly. The Cerberus charges at Milo while he is still healing.
With Kira, the monster is already lying in wait, but she notices nothing. A tiger creeps up quietly from behind. It winds up for a leap, but at the last moment, Kira hears it and draws her collapsible spear from the side of her hip. She swings it briefly, causing the spear to unfold. She fends off the tiger's swipes with her spear over and over. "Good thing Min added this to my portions!" She dodges the attacks precisely; her body reinforcement helps her with this. She is faster than the tiger, though the tiger is slightly superior in terms of strength, which is why she cannot constantly parry its blows. She runs toward it quickly to stab it somewhere in its body. She hits its front right leg. To her misfortune, the spear gets stuck and the tiger simply flings her off, causing her to roll across the ground. A little blood trickles from the corner of her mouth. She heals herself with a flash heal, which heals a person in only one second. She narrowly dodges the next attack with a roll to the side.
Meanwhile, nothing is happening with Lilly yet. She is still searching. She looks around the mountains over and over again but simply finds nothing. Before she went to sleep yesterday, I made her a greatsword that can turn into a giant hammer. She walks through the mountains near the city. The others are either at a lake, in a forest, or in the village; everyone is very close to each other except for Lilly. If she is in danger, no one, not even I, can get to her quickly enough. That's why I gave her the weapon directly. I had made Kira's weapon during the night while preparing the food for everyone, and then I was naturally able to give her her new weapon directly. Lilly slowly climbs a mountain from where she has a perfect view. After a few minutes, she finally reaches the top and sits down for a moment. I gave everyone seven days because I don't expect them to defeat the opponent during the first encounter, since the individual opponents are ranked above God Monsters. Back then, I had about a million power points and couldn't defeat a God Monster; but Galaxy Monsters are five to ten times as strong. That's why I made them much stronger weapons from the individual items from the labyrinth.
I am currently on my way to Milo, as he doesn't have any new daggers yet and is currently being hit by the Cerberus. He is thrown so far that he lands in a small cave. He loses consciousness, while the Cerberus thinks that Milo is dead. However, I can no longer feel his mana either. "Milo, hold on..." I just mutter to myself, out of concern for him.
I start running even faster, causing dust to be kicked up from the ground by now. Any monster that even comes near me is sliced into just two pieces. I begin to move faster and faster. A loud bang rings out, showing that I have reached the speed of sound. In just a few seconds, I arrive near the cave, in front of which lie masses of blood. "Oh no, Milo!"
I see Milo in the cave and run to him while already casting weaker healing magic. The closer I get, the better I can heal Milo. "Damn, the fact that Kira isn't here doesn't make it any better, as she can heal much better than I can." I strike against the rock wall and continue to heal Milo while he lies unconscious with wounds on his body on the cold stone floor. I quickly take a blanket from my dimension hole, which I place under Milo while lifting him up. I sit down on the blanket as well, while the others are all currently busy with their battles. Only a few hours later, Milo begins to move slowly again.
